It's with displeasure, vexation and total disappointment that I bring up this thread to correct the mindset of those who think that scrapping Post ume is a fight to injustice and extortion of prospective students by universities.
I agree that some institutions overcharge their Prospective students during post ume application, but we all know that it's silly to kill the fly with a hammer, what FG needs to do is to reduce the fee or even make it FREE.

Does FG think that by scrapping Post Ume, they will stop extortion in our higher institutions?
There are so many other ways students can be perfectly extorted
Example
1. Increasing acceptance fee
2. Increasing hostel fee or departmental due especially for new students.
etc.

Now let me go straight to the point.
These are the reasons why I said that scrapping Post ume is a stab to our educational system

1. It creates room for excessive malpractice in WAEC.
I used the word excessive because there is already malpractice in WAEC. But with this new development, I bet you, so many special centers will come up and believe me, that will really result to that extortion we are trying to avoid.
Will you rather be extorted by special centers?

2. Removal of Post Ume will give rise to admission of half baked students in our higher institutions.
You don't need long epistle in this one. Post ume is like a sieve used to separate the grain from the chaff, when that sieve is annihilated, there won't be proper separation.

3. It will cause many jambites to re-register for WAEC probably in special centers since WAEC is now the backbone of admission into higher institutions, thereby giving rise to that extortion we are trying to avoid.

I am not a lecturer neither are my parents, but seriously I think FG has more important things to tackle than scrapping Post ume.

I rest my case.

I watched the general overseer of our Lord's chosen, Pst Mouka Warning that we should not pay tithe with money acquired through illegal means.

Now coming to MMM, it's a platform that gives you 30% of your deposit every month and is generally believed that it's a scheme which robs Peter to pay Paul since MMM does not do any business or investment.

I currently earn a profit of over 100k every month from MMM and I don't pay tithe from that money.
I think the money comes as a result of donation and not a salary and hence tithe is not necessary.

Please am I doing the right thing or should I start paying tithe from profits made from MMM?

I am a second class upper graduate of Geology from a Prestigious federal University .
But I don't let all these things to get into my head.

Ask yourself why most of these people that have all these paper based skills are still unemployed.

Once companies employ you, they will train you on relevant softwares needed in their company
Doing all these trainings is like going to the market to buy cooking items when you don't know the food your oga want to eat.
Bcoz most of the companies don't work with that software you have learnt.

Even if you must learn a skill, learn something that can bring you money.

I see some people spending 100-200k learning Petrel, GIS, Opendtech, Geographix etc hoping to break into oil company, na lie, even palm oil company, you no-go see.

Ask all these people wey dey claim they sabi all these things and forming Mr lecturer that wants to train you whether them don get job for Shell, Chevron etc? All these things are waste of resources and time.
Learning all them can not bring food to the table and believe me you will soon forget all you learnt when the frustration of unemployment knocks on your door (I don't wish you experience that though).

Learn reasonable things outside Geology like how to repair phones, fashion designing, how to repair laptops, programming etc.
With such skill, money will be flowing.

If you don't know how to raise money for those financially beneficial skills, don't worry.

There is a solution, just have like 20k or borrow if you no get, then start MMM with it.

I started with 25k and even borrowed 200k from my parents to invest in MMM and believe me today I have made so much cash out from it nearly a million within 5months, after returning that 200k to my sweet mum (best in the world) .
