this is not based on what you support ,its based on reality. no south east state has high poverty rate like other regions, literacy level is higher in south east and income distribution gap is lowest in south east with the highest percentage of middle class families , these are yardsticks for measuring development, the same cannot be said for the middle belt. no matter how you put it whether by state of origin or by residence south east is still ahead of others. in as much as people move to more developed places like from africa to america , people also moved to less developed places to make use of the opportunities the locals are too blind or too lazy to utilize like the case of asian and american companies buying up all the lands in africa, oil companies etc and sending the money back to their countries to add to the one they already have and thats called eating double portion.

The hausa/fulani invested in lagos heavy. One name that comes to mind is Dangote. His invest alone generates a certain percentage of revenue for lagos state. I don't see the yorubas telling them to go.

Just because igbos are in a place does not mean it is automatic your have impacted the community or have invest "heavily" in the place.

So when last have you seen an hausa/fulani man talk about his investment in the SE or lagos. Why do you all talk about your investment since you know there are other groups in your region and they have not shouted to the roof tops on how they invested in a certain region.

No part of Nigeria is power by Igbos except SE region. Please if u all feel like the economy depends on you all, then by all means DEVELOP THE EAST.

They see Igbos as natural allies and have lived with them all their lives, so why the hostility on Nairaland? I was raised in the East, but I did not hear much about the Yorubas.

as for civil servants for every igbo army,police,banker,etc in lagos you have one yorubaman in anambra so they will just swap besides remeber your population is higher so we will have more vacancies, as for buisness men,students and traders they are going nowhere just as those in the east are not going anywhere unless they personally choose to leave.

apart from lagos no other state in the SW can boast of development but the igbo can boast of state like anambra,enugu,imo,abia and rivers , dont worry about us.
