Its been hectic travelling and all from Nigeria .

Advice everyone to be prepared get to the airport 4/5hra ahead and weigh your bags well before leaving home .

Shouts to everyone on NL y’all the best and I’ll play my part in giving back to this community by answering questions from prospective student of stirling university in Scotland or if you have any questions in general I’ll be more than happy to help.

Go very early pick a number , make sure to be within the 1st 4 be friendly with those wearing a monogrammed TLS Shirt. Don’t talk to anyone on the streets they don’t have anything to offer you .

Do a flight to Edinburgh or Glasgow and take an airport taxi or bus from there to Stirling. It's about 1.5hrs by road from either city to Stirling.

Or if you are going from london, I learnt there's a fast train from London to Edinburgh that's 4hours...so you can book that and then travel to Stirling...

This quite a far journey... cant you find a flight into a Scottish airport. Those day Klm or Air France fly from Lagos to Edinburgh or Glasgow.

If you have no other options than Heathrow then just be prepared that it's a long journey ... you can take the national express to Edinburgh and then a local bus to stirling

Try National express too, i doubt if there is any city in the UK they don't travel to. You can also use train if you have the money.

I've a freight company I use that has charged me 2,500 naira per kg to London. Extra fee incurred for movement beyond there to other cities. I've not had the time to shop around for other quotes, and in any case I've been dealing with this company for a few years now, so I'll use them.
I'm using it for food items only; don't have the energy to be carrying half of Nigeria's agricultural products into an airplane.

So that's about 5 pounds or 4.50 per kg depending on the exchange rate you want to play with.

Use that as a rough guide to calculate which will be cheaper for you in line with your airline's extra baggage rates.
In my case, the BA extra baggage allowance comes in slightly cheaper since I'm going beyond London.

No problem with the Istanbul stopover (Turkey is on the UK’s OK list sef).

Turkish Airlines don’t require you to have a Covid test result. My cousin flew them, is quarantining at mine and didn’t need to do one. But as things change all the time, it’s best you check to confirm.

And yes, you can quarantine anywhere in the UK. Some people have found it difficult to find accommodation for the two weeks so end up staying with friends/family.

Its better to quarantine somewhere close to your school and remember we are meant to disclose (by filling the online form) our location within 48 hours before arrival.

You would have to specify exact city.. ie Aberdeen, Glasgow etc

well, I don't think it is a problem because one could actually change where he lives but what would appear in the bank would be the old address. From the format I saw earlier, address wasn't a criteria mentioned that should be in your bank statement.

My bank details had an address That was not in Lagos and the address I filled on the application was Lagos . So I think yes you can use a different address .

Thank you so much . Once you get a decision mail 3days after you should get a pick up mail. Although I was at tls on Tuesday morning o because I couldn’t come and die of anxiety I made enquiries they said I should wait till 4pm , went home sad and I took off my clothes and got a mail omo I dressed up with speed

Visa approved

Anyway, it is funny how you couldn’t debunk the fact that you opened the @sanitizer account (which is not even a big deal at all), but you decided to troll me as usual. There’s no way to prove a travel experience bc my legal name is not obviously skymoore. Besides that, there’s really no reason to prove on here... I mean what does it change? Nothing. Will it fetch me money? Nah.
I also think it’s insulting to people on here who have no travel history simply because your mentality says travel is a “big thing”. You’ve probably never met Nigerian billionaires that have barely gone to Ghana .....

Nevertheless, The best way is to meet me sometime this Christmas (since you are overly concerned) about my travels particularly.
So, I will be in Newcastle from November until February. I’ll also be flying to Belgrade from London Luton, so if you wanna catch up there (London)... it’d be cool. However knowing that you’re a cheeky burger, it’s unlikely that you will accept my meet up request lol.
