Politics › Re: #NO To Grazing Reserve - We Reject It.. by Basic123: 12:15pm On Feb 02, 2017
oxmale:
I decided to read a copy of the National Grazing Reserve Council Bill and I was surprised at what I saw.
The Bill creates a council to be chaired by a Chairman to be appointed by the president.
The council shall have the power to take your land anywhere the land is located in the country and then pay you compensation.
Your land, when taken, shall be assigned to herdsmen who shall use your land for grazing purposes. They shall bring cows to the land and you shall lose the land permanently to those Fulani cattlemen.
If you feel that the council was not right to take your land, you can go to court but before you go to court, you must first of all notify the federal attorney general of your intention to sue the council. Apart from notifying, you must get the consent and authority of the Federal Attorney General before you can sue.
So that means that if the Attorney General refuses to give his consent to the suit, you have lost your land forever to the herdsmen.
And this law, when passed, shall apply to the whole country so it means that your land in the village or anywhere is not safe.
The National Grazing Reserve Council would have the power to take away your land from you anytime they want and pay you whatever they want as compensation (even when you don't want to sell, and remember that for you to get compensation, you must have documents showing or proving ownership).
So I think that we all in the South West, South South and South East must rise up and reject this Bill. We must do all things to force our national Assembly members from passing that bill into law.
That bill is a deliberate attempt to take our lands and hand the land over to the Fulani cattlemen since it is only the fulanis that rear cattle in Nigeria.
That law, when passed, shall fulfil the directive of Uthman Dan Fodio and other northern leaders to take over other parts of Nigeria.
I implore you to use all available means to implore your senator and Rep not to pass that law.
That law will destroy Nigeria.
All over the world, ranches are established and used to rear cattle. The farmers buy land and put their cattle there. There is no country where the land of the citizens are compulsorily acquired and given to others.
This is evil, and designed to favour the Fulanis where the president comes from.
We must resist the passage of that bill into law to save Nigeria, and to protect our future generations
Please share this piece until it goes viral. We must defend our land and protect our children.

To
everybody from the south,, we must join hands together and reject grazing reserves.
#COPIED..
......And it is the only fulanis and hausas that eat cattle in nigeria.

Babacele:
nwanem I go speak when I still have my voice and the energy. ....you would agree with me that we sent GEJ and his fraudulent team packing in 2015 because we can no longer trust their capability and integrity to manage the nation especially when he mismanaged an abundant goodwill, proceeds of $100/barrel oil sales, encouraged unprecedented plundering of our national purse ,sabotaged our military and national security , encouraged terrorism and several sins too numerous to mention.

Then came GMB who is more disciplined ,exposed ,educated , firm and parades the cleanest docket as Nigerian ex-head of state. As a young handsome military officer, GMB who supervised the birth a large chunk of the oil facilities in Nigeria didn't help him to our commonwealth. if he had like other ex-heads of states who would have asked him? This is fundamental.
May be you don't know that a kastinawa who wrote a school certificate exam supervised by the Cambridge- the predecessor of WAEC-, went for several courses all over the world and later earned his generalship in the army; head several national posts ,duties, expeditions, community developments is more educated and cosmopolitan than a clueless boy from Otuoke who went to University of Portharcourt, served in Oyo state , parades a questionable PhD and had had risen from the position of a deputy governor to a disastrous presidency . don't even go there! If GEJ and co had performed, what is PMB doing in government instead of enjoying his retirement? Maybe you can tell why we should stop talking about an old team who squandered yesterday and is quick to shout blue murder when the new spirit is more sincerely looking for solutions to our problems? No ,such persons can't arrogantly tell us what to do when they caused the problem we are addressing. A protest that allows a rogue like Fayose to flaunt his filthiness can't be genuine.

I thank 2baba as EIE has answered Fayose that he is part of the problems being protested against. A rogue who got bail out, federal allocations and monthly IGR but refuses to pay workers has no moral right to protest against a better manager like GMB. My major grouse with PMB,though human, is that he is too nice to yester-thieves.
....you said fayose has no moral right to join the protest but a stingy fellow who collected car gifts from opposition party has.

at afe babalola university we have a memorandum of understanding with the federal government to use the Federal teaching hospital in ido-ekiti.we do bedside teachings every day (there is a mini campus in the hospital) , almost too much is you ask me.

For medicine and surgery, o/g and paediatrics, we have different postings, with lectures from 8-10 , compulsory ward activities from 12-2, lectures from 2-4 and call hours from 7 - 10. But in obstetrics, call hours extends till whenever, as long as you have a patient in labor. i'm currently doing my posting in neonatology.

as for the west african fellowship sth, i will find out how true that is from a consultant.
....This is even not even as excellent as what is obtainable in ibadan medical school. But,no doubt you have a very good schedule.

An opportunity Alex ekwueme never had during shagari's era.He was an houseboy through out the tenure.

please,who is the northerners' slaves

. Nigeria has had Tafa Balewa and Shagari twice as civillians and both
were supported by Igbos wholeheartedly. In the third
republic, the senior Yaradua was winning in Yoruba
land before being banned by IBB. During the time of
Abiola, Yorubas and Hausas voted Abiola but Igbos
voted against him. For Tofa. During Obasanjo, Igbos
and Hausas voted Obasanjo while Yorubas voted Falae.
Yorubas voted Obasanjo for second term when
Northerners rose against him for being Yoruba. During
Yaradua, Yorubas supported Atiku and Yoruba
supported Jonathan. Igbos have put Tafa Balewa/Zik
and Shagari there. They gained a lot during Balewa
while the first Northerner Yoruba will get there is
Buhari.

Every Nigerian has the right to engage in a peaceful protest irrespective of his/her party affiliation; they are only demostrating their constitutional right.
It is not about party mr man.it about the people we protesting against which fayose is part. The protest is against the government at all levels.

This administration started with blames. I guess this is why everybody tend to be shifting blames from one person to another. I wont condemn Osinbajo because the postion he's occupying is a delicate one, he has to be neutral becuase if he say too much he will be much quoted even for what he never said. His position is very delicate and direct interests on some issues had to be ventured into with wisdom.

Out of the 2 options I prefer Peter Obi and Fashola.Ambode will just be Tinubu stooge and puppet.
Fashola was able to break free from Tinubu control.I would rather have Fashola as President and Peter Obi as Vice President even though I know both of them are not clean.
....What is the problem with being tinubu stooge?...we don't care,in as much being a stooge will benefit the nation.since fashola broke away from being tinubu stooge what impact has he made on an average nigerian at least since he has become a minister.including other governors that are not under tinubu control.

All I see here is hatred for tinubu.

Research work: I'll give it to UI
Alumni: I can't tell
Academic Calendar: UI
Sociopolitical life: OAU

UI is ahead of OAU in most science related courses- the college of medicine in UI is the best in the country.

OAU however beats UI in law and hummanites. OAU law faculty alongside with UNILAG is the best in the country.

UI Postgraduate is unarguably the best in the country.

The two schools are really good, like someone said " The Messi and Ronaldo of Nigerian universities."
...OAU humanities above U.I?...I beg to disagree.where we have femi osofisan, niyi osundare,JP clark, emeka anyaoku, gamaliel onosande of this world.

He didnt come to that city with brown roof that houses one of the best 1000 universities in the world to compete with them but to learn from them.No wonder he got an afonja name for himself "oluwaseun"

I have nothing else to say. Going through the whole
threads has reinforced the fact that Ui is better than
OAU......Case closed.
Most graduates of Ui continue their PG study in Ui or
travel abroad cos they believe no school compare to Ui
in Nigeria.......

The only argument OAU supports have was only that OAU has once dealt with U.I supporters.

I was once a student of each university.Though I lov OAU so much.but,to be frank and objectives U.I is better.

one thing I like about U.I is that, the students cant shout. The school speaks for itself unlike OAU students.
