Politics › Re: Meranda Stepped Down As Speaker During Peace Meeting, Says Obasa by Basicend:
Why Nigerian politicians are so desperate for public posts is becoz of the available stollen and diverted funds that has been a norm of a Public office leader.

If we can be serious and address this issue, Nigeria will begin to truly grow.

Look, how much is the net worth of Biden or former UK prime minister? But ordinary minister of a vibrant portfolio in Nigeria will become a billionaire in dollars just within 1 year in office.

That is why they keep shedding blood and commiting all kinds of manipulation just to get in, and sustain those posts.

The Trump and Elon Musk adminstration is running his govt just like a strategic business unit.

Such a deceptive and brutal decision against Ukraine.

He is making such scary decisions against best allies such as Canada, Mexico, EU and even the American civil servants etc.
Politics › Re: Things Are Getting Better, The Days Of Gloom Are Gone - President Tinubu by Basicend:
Hmm.

In my honest opinion, Buhari really messed up the country and brutalized our economy. Such a clueless man. I guess he would claim COVID as an excuse.

Tinubu on the other hand took a very selfish decision by floating the naira instantly. He almost escalated the economy to unrepairable damage.

He has seen that error, and he is pressing towards addressing it with CBN. I hope God gives them the wisdom to turn things around quickly.

A lot of people are still seriously suffering.

Senator Natasha is being dramatic at this point
She had always been dramatic from the beginning.

What the Senate president asked her to do was given as an instruction to some other senators in the house, and non made any noise or issues out of it.

This Nathasha of a woman has so many issues.

She is very troublesome, manipulative and unruly.

I have seen many pictures of she and her husband, and you could perceive that she is the husband in the home.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Millions To Pay More As Energy Price Cap Rises In The UK by Basicend:
I know some bankers currently that left their jobs at the best banks in Nigeria immediately Tinubu came in and Japa to UK and Canada. .

There are plans currently to send to monies to them from Nigeria due to their state. I told my parent, if the weight of this thing is too much, let them come back to Nigeria abeg.

The system there is created for most people (esp. immigrants) to run circles and pay bills and taxes without gathering any meaningful thing in the end.

If u are bold and creative, I have said this a million times, stay in Nigeria and build your resources.

If what you are hoping for is just to be able to afford good food, chicken, milk etc, you can keep going o. Even shelter and utilities are becoming unaffordable and unavailable at those places now due to increased cost of living.
Business › Re: Naira Hits 7-Month High, Appreciates To ₦1,500/$ In Parallel Market by Basicend: 11:00am On Feb 25, 2025
If you checked Tinubu's budget presentation for 2025, Naira was pegged (projected) at N1,400.

So, the CBN knows what they are doing. It's the framework they designed for the year.

Naira will be within that range or lower tru out this year.

Agriculture › Re: Farmers Lament Drop In Food Prices Amid FG’s Moves To Reduce Inflation by Basicend: 5:51pm On Feb 24, 2025
TimeManager:
Nigerians matter is complicated, greed has eaten deep into the fabric of an average Nigerian. Food Prices are high, farmers smile, consumers groan. Food Prices comes down, consumers smile, farmers groan. So, all these while, farmers dey happy while people dey attack Government. But come to think of it, since Buhari closed the borders to help local farmers, it has gone from bad to worse. A lot of price manipulations have been going on, while they smile to the bank.
Tinubu will bring it down and any farmer or trader that wants to lament will lament tire.

-Kiss the truth!
It's a normal phenomenon na.

No wahala for streets, Lawyers no go chop.

No sicknesses and infections, doctors start lamenting.

No car accidents and faults, mechanics and auto engineers begin to lament too.

So, everyone thrives at the expense of others. grin cheesy
Politics › Re: South West Govts Lack Power To Stop Shariah Panels – Kwara Judge by Basicend:
Amongst all the problems that are harassing Nigeria currently, it is Sharia law that concerns these ones.

Well, it's not their fault.

The regions where the so called Sharia is being implemented, how well are they fairing?

The bye-products of the Sharia in those regions have been lack of peace, terrorism, kidnappings, bombings, lack of productivity, infrastructure and economic activities and lack of adequate education.

Is that what they want to stretch to the only remaining peaceful and progressing region in the country?

Politics › Re: FG Has Spent $8 Billion To Support The Naira – Rewane by Basicend: 2:45pm On Feb 23, 2025
DeLaRue:
Nothing new.

Every country steps in to support their currency.

In late January 2025 (last month), Brazil was spending about $7 billion dollars PER DAY! to support its currency against the dollar.

Around the same period, India spent over $20 billion dollars within 3 days to support the Indian Rupee.

Japan spent over $60 billion to defend the Yen against the dollar last year, yet the Yen has lost so much value against the dollar in the past 2 years.

If Nigeria spends $8 billion in 2 years, that's still reasonable, compared to when we were spending about that amount every year under Mr Buhari.

Truth is, the dollar is just too powerful against most currencies. Many governments have to defend their currencies, otherwise...
Dont mind the guys blaming the govt.

They made a mistake, and they simply trying to correct it via such subject means.

It's still to the interest of Nigerians, and if they left the naira to float to N3,500 to $1, it is still same people that will come out here and shout and blast the govt.

Forget that thing. Even in the western world people still practice human sacrifice and other dark arts. They just don't show it to you.
The devil loves blood because blood is life especially human blood sacrifices. These things are very much rampant all over the world.
We live in a dark and wicked world run by the prince of darkness. People believe that in order to be rich and famous you must offer sacrifices to the dark Lord but there are severe consequences for those that do these things.
What you have said is accurate and correct.

However, my point was derived personal experiences. Not everyone will engage the devil, even thou majority does.

Vast education will still make the situation better.

I reached out to a cousin of mine in Norway. I begged him for small financial assistance any amount no matter how small.
He read the message and said he will see what he will do.

That was january 15, since then he rarely reply my message and if he reply he ignores my cry for help

I tried writing him again but tears started rolling from my eyes.
I felt so depressed begging my cousin and him just playing me like a child. Ignoring my messages

I need advice, should i call it quit and distance myself from him?
Most likely he is probably broke too.

It's hard everywhere globally nowadays.

Look for alternatives, and try to stop relying on someone.

I believe that education will reduce this kind of vices in our society.

We and the govt need to ensure that education is accessable to all citizens within the country.

An educated mind can create and invent wider alternatives for survival even in extreme circumstances, like in the case of Nigerian the economy, instead of killing a fellow human being.

Yes, they are surely trying to upgrade. But, they have to watch China intensely. The issue is that they now have serious competition, not just from Russia, but primarily from China.

China is currently building a Military City (biggest in the world) near it's capital which is about 1,500 acre just to modernize weaponry. Those guys are trying to duplicate every American achievement.

America has by far worlds largest military aircraft fleet and weaponry.

They currently have over thirteen thousand military planes. No country comes close at all.

However, many of their military equipments are depreciating fastly and lacking proper maintenance due to cost and age.

That's one of the reasons they are experiencing accidents nowadays.

You need lots of money to maintain lots of assets. I believe that is one of the reasons Trump is smartly fighting against de-dollarization. So that the free monies can continue to flow in.
