Try the same question to Grok which strives to be as fair as possible unlike Gemini which is liberally biased. Grok says not exactly but DeepSight: QUESTION: IS THE CLAIM THAT BLACK AMERICANS HAVE BEEN GIVEN SIX TRILLION IN ENTITLEMENT BENEFITS TRUE AND IF SO, WHATS THE TIMELINE, AND WHO GOT THESE FUNDS AND ON WHAT BASIS?
GEMINI: The claim that Black Americans specifically have been "given $6 trillion in entitlement benefits" is a mischaracterization of broader figures frequently cited in debates over U.S. welfare policy. There is no official government record or peer-reviewed study that confirms a $6 trillion figure allocated exclusively to Black Americans.
Instead, the "$6 trillion" figure likely stems from a confusion of several distinct data points related to total national spending, specific asset valuations, or recent federal deficit increases.
1. The Likely Origins of the "$6 Trillion" Figure The specific number $6 trillion appears in two very different contexts within recent economic discourse, neither of which represents an "entitlement payout" to Black Americans:
Total Black Household Wealth: According to data from the Federal Reserve, the total assets held by Black American households (including real estate, pension entitlements, and savings) reached approximately $6 trillion in 2022 (HBCU Money, 2023). This represents the collective net worth and private savings of the population, not government spending.
Recent Federal Deficit Claims: Economic critics, such as those at the Heritage Foundation, have argued that the Biden administration's policies added roughly $6 trillion to the national deficit through various spending bills (Ditch, 2023). These funds were allocated across the entire U.S. population for infrastructure, COVID-19 relief, and climate initiatives, rather than being targeted specifically toward one racial group.
2. Historical Context of Welfare Spending If the claim is intended to refer to "The War on Poverty" (launched in 1964), the numbers are much larger, but also population-wide:
Total Spending: Research by Robert Rector of the Heritage Foundation estimated that the U.S. spent approximately $22 trillion on means-tested welfare programs between 1964 and 2014 (Rector, 2014).
Demographic Distribution: While African Americans are disproportionately represented in certain means-tested programs due to higher poverty rates, they have never been the sole or primary recipients of the total expenditure. For example, in most years of the program's history, White Americans have constituted the largest single racial group receiving SNAP (food stamps) and Medicaid benefits.
3. Basis and Eligibility Federal benefits in the United States are not distributed on the basis of race, as that would violate the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Instead, funds are distributed based on:
Financial Need: Means-tested programs like TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) or Medicaid require recipients to fall below specific income thresholds.
Age and Contribution: "Entitlements" like Social Security and Medicare are based on age and the amount of payroll taxes an individual has paid into the system over their working life. ------------------ cc: GloriousGbola / basilico / Ijebos / cococandy

GracieX3: Go and look up how the foster care system has f4cked up children in the USA. From sexual abuse to domestic abuse to emotional abuse.
Do you know what it is to grow up without parental love? To grow up with other children who see you as competition and not siblings?
Who told you that strangers are better equipped to take care of a dumped child? So it's better to love a child so much you kill it because it might face problems in foster homes? |

I didn't know about that. In some African countries you can't do that. Mother's who drop their children at their deadbeat father's work places have been charged in court. tctrills: Have you heard of Safe Haven Laws in the US? Once you hand your baby to a staff member at a designated location (hospital, fire station, or police station), your legal responsibility ends immediately.
So you are not forced to care for the child if you don't want to. The excuse that the mother is left without option is false.
Let's face the fact, mothers who kill their babies are murderous and wicked. Simple.
99% of them have no good reason to do so. |

cococandy: Joke of the century. You might need to change you news sources if you never heard about the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act Recent floor votes on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act in the House and Senate show strict party-line splits, with Republicans voting in favour and Democrats voting against.
1. January 2025 House Vote (Passed) In the 119th Congress, the House passed the bill (H.R. 21) on January 23, 2025.
Total Vote: 217 "Yea" to 204 "Nay". Republicans: All present Republicans (216) voted Yea. Democrats: 204 Democrats voted Nay. 1 Democrat voted Yea and 1 Democrat voted Present.
2. January 2025 Senate Vote (Blocked) In the Senate, Republicans attempted to advance the bill (invoke cloture) on January 22, 2025, but failed to reach the required 60 votes.
Republicans: Voted unanimously Yea to proceed. Democrats: Voted unanimously Nay to proceed, successfully blocking the measure.
3. January 2023 House Vote (Passed) In the 118th Congress, the bill (H.R. 26) passed the House on January 11, 2023.
Total Vote: 220 "Yea" to 210 "Nay". Republicans: 219 Republicans voted Yea. None voted against it. Democrats: 210 Democrats voted Nay. Only 1 Democrat (Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas) voted Yea, and 1 Democrat (Rep. Vicente Gonzalez of Texas) voted Present.
4. February 2020 Senate Vote (Blocked) An older Senate vote to invoke cloture on the bill (S. 311) fell short of the 60-vote threshold with a 56 to 41 outcome. Republicans: 53 Republicans voted Yea. Democrats: 41 Democrats (and Independents who caucus with them) voted Nay. 3 Democrats (Senators Bob Casey, Doug Jones, and Joe Manchin) broke from their party to vote Yes
By now you should know I just don't make any comments without some background information. |

GracieX3: This is the simple minded, narrow vision of the religious Conservative.
Please, there are many orphanages full to the brim with children. From babies to teenagers. Those looking to adopt have many choices.
However, typical Conservatives do not care about children but they want them to be born. They prefer to cut benefits that enable women raise children.
I am pro choice and not pro abortion. Abortion is the last option. It should be an option. Abortion should be a last resort. Pregnancy should also be a last resort given 12 ways to prevent it minus not having sex. Most of the abortions are from sanr knowledgeable women , (many married too). Grandparents with an iota of decency won't have their grandchildren in orphanages. One reason women abort is fear of the unknown, rejection and career . Some don't desire having fallen twin soldiers or a protruding belly at early stages of life . Looks matter more in their career. I think it was posted here the families hoping to adopt is almost equal to the number of abortions . I know only about 25K were adopted last year against 1.3 million abortions . Govt should not fund elective abortions is my stand. Ideally abortion should be after the woman has undergone unbiased professional counselling from pro life and abortion advocates respectively. |

Don’t underestimate me. You’re not too old to be aborted now according to your party beliefs.
Lower your gaze when you speak to me. Democrats are the ones who want abortion third trimester . Call the fetus a clump of cells. Call the fetus unviable. It's democrats who blocked a common sense bill.. Whether the due standard of care is applied to a baby who survives an abortion. The republican wanted mandatory care of the child as a human being . Democrats voted no almost to a man. Translation. If an unwabted baby survives ,kill it . Postbirth abortion or murder? |

GracieX3: Charlie Kirk said that if his 10 year old daughter got graped and pregnant, she should still give birth to the baby.
This is what religion does to you. Absolute morality when life is grey (not absolute or black and white) I have the means to bring up grandchildren if they cannot. The idea that you can't bring up kids is a very powerful incentive by the pro abortion crowd . Many childless career women in their late thirties or early forties wish they got the babies instead of flushing them. Many kids have been born from rape and succeeded in life. I've just seen Rev Jesse Jackson was one of them. What if the mother dies during the abortion..I won't condemn every unplanned kid to abortion. |

Just what I wanted. Every dominant state party to redraw maps to favour them.Democrats are almost done with their states. They went to courts in Southern states who ordered congressional districts be carved out to secure democrat majority seats. Grok tells me at least 8-12 seats were simply handed over to democrats by courts .
GOP States Strike Back: Redrawing Maps to Crush Democrat Strongholds After SCOTUS Slaps Down Racial Gerrymandering
Southern Republican-led states are wasting no time seizing the momentum from the Supreme Court's April 29 ruling that smacked down Louisiana's race-based congressional map as unconstitutional.
Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, Alabama, and South Carolina are already charging forward with new maps for 2026. In Florida, the legislature just greenlit Governor Ron DeSantis' bold plan that could flip the state's delegation from a solid 20-8 Republican edge to a crushing 24-4 blowout by targeting vulnerable Democrat seats.
This is what winning looks like. The Court made it clear: race can't be the driving force in drawing districts. No more Democrat-favored racial carve-outs that dilute fair representation. Republicans are finally playing hardball on fair maps that reflect actual communities and voter will, not identity politics.
Mississippi should jump in now and join the fight. The message is loud and clear: conservatives aren't backing down. More red seats, fewer blue excuses. |

Can we mention any action taken by the black community to improve their culture and society? Secondly, how are the whites holding back black America today? Since 1964, the blacks have been given more than 6 trillion dollars. They are by a mile the biggest benefactors of entitlement benefits per capital. The have been given a black president, a black vice, blacks in the supreme court and they were granted affirmative action for decades. What more would America do before they choose to be successful?

We are our own enemies. Some times I posted here about the maximum benefit a married family gets versus a single parent .Both 3 kids When she is unmarried she can get from $3 to $9 grand a month in the best states - democrat cities. She'd rather raise a single family. Black music..Don't go there. Some lyrics are unprintable. I'm.of the opinion that blacks have also got a lot of federal support whether directly or through non profits that would be construed as reparations. Liberal politicians always shift blame on others. Black or white liberals for that matter.. As long as the blacks are voting democrats the desire to put them on govt largese keeps growing. tctrills: What is wrong with the black man. Why must we always blame others for our problems. Why are we such an irresponsible people.
Now, answer this. Under slavery, the black family was intact. Fatherlessness was not a problem. Then came segregation and still fathers were responsible. Finally you guys were given your freedoms and Equal rights and the family system got destroyed how is it the white man's fault.
We're they wrong in giving you your freedoms? Have you listened to black music, or viewed black culture? It is barbaric and uncivilised.
Blacks have a cultural problem in the US. They have a sick culture. The whites did not do this. It was a choice made by a people.
It was a cultural decision to remain backwards, to love and embrace foolishness. Blacks celebrate crime and criminals. They are a messed up people.
How come as a black man you are safer in a white neighborhood in Montana than in the hood in Chicago.
It's all about personal and cultural decisions not the white man.
Please spend time listening to black American music and you will understand the problem has nothing to do with the whites |
