By the time someone boards the pilots are already in the plane going through passenger manifests, hand luggage and cargo weights and more so doing pre-flight checks. More so by the time one boards the pilots have already entered autopilot data besides having obtained altitude, flight paths, weather from Air Traffic Control. Plane full load weight is one most important check , as it determines the optimum amount of fuel plane needs. As soon as the plane lands they may continue sitting in the plane planning for the turn around flight depending on how long the flight was.
