To the point you even think Powell is out to sabotage him in Fed, Fauci sabotaging him in health, Supreme Court sabotaging him in law, Pentagon sabotaging him, DOJ and FBI sabotaging him, Kemp sabotaging him in Georgy, McConnell sabotaging him in senate.
He's almost even broken the electoral system over the past year.
America is bigger than one man. Every institution performs their role to make it the most successful country. The crazy idiot should go and sit down. Im a rational thinker. I dont depend on the mainstream media to form my opinions. Yes, all those people you mentioned deliberately sabotaged him big. Bigly. |

Ibime: Stock prices also reflect how cheap money is and how much money is floating around (money supply). The last 10 years reflect this phenomenon more than faith in the economy.
Fed printed $1trln bank bailouts and another $1trln stimulus in response to 2009 recession and fed dropped rates. That money has been floating in the system pumping prices into bubble territory from Obama's 2nd term into Trump 1st term.
During the pandemic when GDP has been crashing, stockmarket has continued climbing to all-time highs because one quarter of all dollars in circulation were printed last year. Does it look like stockmarket is reflecting the faith in the wider economy to you? So you can see how irresponsible it is for a President to be tweeting about stockmarket upandan that is just in a bubble.
Don't bring politics into economics. Presidents are simply witnesses to economic cycles in America, they are not the protagonists of boom or bust. Economic cycles last 7 years. The system gets overheated every 7 years by one bubble or another, and Fed fixes it, setting up another 7 guaranteed years of prosperity. System is bigger than any man.
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/e/economic-cycle.asp Thinking we are just going round in circles. My take is that Trump had lots of enemies within GOP not counting the crazy democrats. They downplay any achievement he made using all sorts of logic, truths, half truths and outright lies. Apparently a president has no input because economic cycles. |

Ibime: Tesla vehicles ain't moving to cause a 10x jump in Share price. Tesla pump was irrational. You can't have a company with $700m profit and attribute $1 trillion valuation to moving cars. Tesla was a bubble pump.
Trump economy talks is neither here nor there. Economic cycles always last 7 years minimum extending to 10 years max, so coming from the recession of 2009, he was always going to have an easy ride but pandemic konked his head on the way out. George Bush had a rough ride, starting in 2001 when Tech bubble and 9/11 started a recession, and finishing with a recession in 2008 due to Housing bubble which had started building in August 2007. Bill Clinton had the easiest ride. He started just after the 1992 recession and finished just before the 2001 recession. Clinton was the most economically successful President for that reason, as job numbers show below OK. Stock prices reflect the faith investors have in the economy. Tesla is overpriced IMO and built on shaky sand if climate change has not been promoted to a religion. Elons other outfit SpaceX is in good stead having lowered the costs of sending Teslas to space via reusable rocket engines Workforce participation. Data over the years. Clinton does better, I dont know how to factor in people living on gov handouts especially from Obama's error. And divorcees mom who prefer not to work. And immigrants who depend solely on govt.

Ibime: Tesla's profit last year of $500m won't be achieved without selling Carbon credits. Tesla would actually be lossmaking or break-even without selling Carbon credits. Last time I checked Trump was President then.
Tesla share-price did 10x last year from March to December under Trump Presidency. Elon Musk quickly gave himself sense and cashed out 10% of his shares at all time high disguising it under an argument with Bernie Sanders about tax.
Trump was irresponsible constantly tweeting about Dow Jones performance when growth was due to an asset bubble. I've hardly seen a President be that irresponsible to turn that into a performance KPI. All it will do it incentivise Presidents to keep stockmarket bubbles going increasing the threat to the overall economy when they eventually pop. If I'm Biden I will try to keep pumping up the bubble make e no spoil for my hand, let the next President deal with the pop. Two things. Trump admin was keen on energy independence and climate change suspicion. Tesla vehicles would not have moved as much were it not for people with more disposable incomes, generally from other economic sectors. Among the growth sectors would be manufacturing as a result of his trade deals and tarriffs on Chinaman imports. Manufacturing growth will obviously impact the financial sector and Wall Street as more people shore up their stock portfolios. Companies made booming profits as a result of Trump. I know you can never admit that. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by basilico: 12:14pm On Dec 16, 2021 |
Ibime: Corrected.
You continued with your conspiracy even when your data showed interest payment increase on National debt was not that significant, and even when explained that Fed rate is not the interest rate on Govt bonds. That's how Conspiratorial minds work.
Fed raises fed rate when economy is doing well or inflation is running amok. Economy was back on its feet after the 2008-2009 recession. Why should any Fed keep interest rate at zero. All countries increased interest rates. When rates are kept at zero, credit becomes cheap and bubbles are created which will burst one day. We are in a bubble right now from all the cheap credit from 2009 recession response building up to last year's dropping of interest rates in reaction to the pandemic. Companies whose profit has barely doubled in the last 10 years have seen their share prices increase tenfold. Look at Tesla, a company with $500m yearly profit and $1 trillion valuation.
What that means is too much money chasing too few assets. Money is available because credit is cheap (interest rates are zero) so assets are overpriced. Infact, Fed has a big decision to make on how to bring back reality slowly without popping the balloon. You are correct about cheap credit. After Trump came in the recession was over (thank Obama) The Feds raised rates because the economy was booming. (Do I hear Trump Worst president ever) Note that Tesla stocks are high because climate change is getting hindreds of billions from Joe Biden plus the govts that want to ban fossil fuell. Going round in circles, to praise Obama and denigrate Trump. |

Ibime: If you buy a Govt bond at 1.7% yield, that 1.7% is what the Govt pays to service that debt, not the Fed rate.
Correlation between Fed Rate and Treasury Yield has been weak over the last decade or two. There is a very long term correlation between Treasury Yield and Fed Rate but that's another chapter. I standby my asserion. The Fed Reserve did everything to sabotage Trump . Look at sharp stock fluctuations immediately after Jerome Powell announcements during the Trump period. One example only. Stop playing smart.

Ibime: Don't say this where educated people are.
Fed rate is not set based on conspiracies. Fed rate is set based on inflation and money supply, to incentivise saving or spending as the case may be, not because of no bloody conspiracy against Trump. Rates usually drop during a recession to incentivise spending to jumpstart the economy, and pick back up as the economy improves to incentivise saving and cushion against inflation and overheating. Fed rate is not even the cause of the interest in the first place, but the Treasury bond yields. In other words the Fed rate has nothing to do with balooning total debt. I dont know how it works to the detail But I do know the Fed rate has a Bearing on the total debt. Trump rising total national debt had a lot to do with the Fed rate.Pre the covid outbreak. You can deny this. |

Difference of $65bln
The gap in their deficits is much wider than that. Men lie, women lie, numbers don't.
Republicans only remember debt when they are out of power. In power, they perform worse than democrats from a fiscal perspective. Take an average of total debt at 19T for both years (assume no increase in principal debt ) and respective interest rate from Feds. 2017 Fed Rate Dec 2016 is 0.55% . Amounts to roughly 100B 2018 Fed rate Dec 2017 is 1.30%. Amounts to roughly 247B. Not actual figures but you hopefully can see what a percentage point of a close to 20T adds to interest expense I could say the Feds was on a sabotage mission Remember that interest on debt is the fourth largest expenditure in a fiscal year budget. Medicaid/Social Security, Defence and War expenditure are the top three in no order followed by this interest. |

Ibime: Nope, the Treasury yield (particularly on the 10 year bond) determines the interest paid on the majority of the debt. Correlation with the fed funds rate has been weak. Little difference to the Treasury Yield curve between Trump and Obama years Trump increased national debt partly as a result of the huge debt Obama left him and a huge chunk because of the Federal Reserve rate. The data you provided tries to hide the real interest rate Fed Reserve imposed as soon as Obama left office. A table of interest expense repayment below. Notice during Obama "error" the interests were low despite him increasing the national debt. Under Obama the rate was 0.2 going to 0.05 then rising to 0.55 by end 2016. Under Trump interests were 0.55 rising to 2.55 and finally dropping to zero levels during the onset of the pandemic. https://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/reports/ir/ir_expense.htm

Ibime: Excluding recession years, Obama had dropped yearly deficit down to $500bln for 3 years steady (2014-2016). Trump immediately increased deficit back to $800bln and $1trln in 2018 and 2019 before the pandemic hit. Zendi did not remember National debt at that time I reckon Im correct saying that Obama forced an increase in social expenditure that Joe Biden will scale to the high heavens? Minus the pandemic input. Minus pandemic Trump added around 3 trillion and I remember he had an infrastructure bill in his first year. That did not pass? Growing the national debt is severely impacted by the fed interest rates. If you can please give a breakdown of federal interest rates per year from 2009 through 2021. Indicate how much of the fed rate increased the national debt annually. For the record Obama had 0% fed increase throughout his tenure. Explain this chart. Why under Trump the fed rate moved from 0 to 2% . https://casaplorer.com/fed-interest-rate

Hydroxy allowed them to drop it to 400mg per dose
It's easy to drop Chloroquine in a petridish, it's harder to get it into cells at an appropriate dose to have any effect, hence the high dose, and hence the difference between in-vitro and in-vivo efficacy. The high dose needed for Covid can lead to myrocarditis and vision problems. The Chinese dosage worked, so you stocked up. Progress. Just admit that HCL works stop being academic |

Ibime: Point is I have always accepted that inhibitors (IVM and HCL) may have early intervention uses in all our discussions. The drug action is stopping viral replication rather than killing the virus. However they do not work on patients who are already sick and have failed clinical trials badly for that reason. Anecdotal evidence from Doctors won't change that, neither is it a replacement for vaccine which has passed clinical trials. If we did not have vaccine, I may have bothered to go buy IVM if it's better than chloroquine as an inhibitor. Man must always increase his odds. There is no drug that works to clear out the virus once its already done damage to body organs especially the lungs. The drugs being granted FDA approval are less effective. Every drug would be administered as soon as possible. This was earlier on, the media went tongs and hammer on IVM as they did to HCL that you stock to the brim. https://www.monash.edu/discovery-institute/news-and-events/news/2020-articles/Lab-experiments-show-anti-parasitic-drug-Ivermectin-eliminates-SARS-CoV-2-in-cells-in-48-hours The Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute’s Dr Kylie Wagstaff, who led the study, said the scientists showed that the drug, Ivermectin, stopped the SARS-CoV-2 virus growing in cell culture within 48 hours.
“We found that even a single dose could essentially remove all viral RNA by 48 hours and that even at 24 hours there was a really significant reduction in it,” Dr Wagstaff said
In his testimony to the senate found here https://www.hsgac.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/Testimony-Kory-2020-12-08.pdf Dr Kory quoted numerous studies a that showed IVM was very effective. But he was ignored . |

In Theory, Avoiding Interest Is Simple Generally, you can avoid credit card interest by paying your balance in full every month before the end of the grace period. Grace periods are at least 21 days. Why not manage your expenditures visavis income. Do you have to use credit cards ? Look at someone in UK. You are.broke right now its December after clearing the bills for November.Book a flight, come.to Nigeria, live like a king in Lagos with a few friends, go back to UK after a week. Total debt $2000 . You start January with a $2000 debt after having lived 12 months earlier paying credit card debt monthly. Someone else had planned ahead and saved $200 every month for the Dec holidays. See the difference. In other words credit card assures you money Does not encourage savings at all. Live from hand to mouth sort of boasting about exotic holidays. Savings in bank . Zero. |
