My only concern is that the police officers will be wrongfully convicted by a corrupt democrat controlled court, because of too much political inteference by the presidency and democrat in the case and also pressure from the media and the woke mob.
I am afriad that joe biden will want to used this case to score a political point. I am afraid the officers might not get justice and fairness out of this trial.

Indeed automate is an option, and has already happened with the likes of Ford half a century ago, McDonalds and Walmart a decade ago, and just yesterday, Amazon opened a fully automated supermarket in UK. And that's not because of the minimum wage but because of profit seeking by reducing their wage bill, so it would be wrong to blame the minimum wage for it. If you were old enough in the 80s and 90s you'd remember "Productivity" was the management buzzword of the time as companies sought efficiencies and cost reductions by further automating.

Like I said, tricky, as companies will find ways to get around paying the minimum wage since you'd not find it easy to impose US tax on robots in China or Mexico.

By the way, are you aware US companies keep their revenue abroad? They buy US debt in the form of treasury bills and earn interest from US with it too, to show you how dubious company managers can be.

I'm beginning to be bothered with this $15 minimum wage, which I have supported in the past so companies don't pay $0/hr as they might want to, but companies will just shift staff to China or Mexico to avoid it.

What America needs is "buy America" like Ghandhi introduced in India, but Americans seem to prefer cheap wherever they can get it from, and don't seem to do collectivism unless it involves guns or qnonsense, which is why I like the proposal of his as stated below.

They should get the quarterly refundable tax credits from taxing company itself to pay for it, and include companies who rely on imports too. And do one of those Kennedy propagandas "Ask what your country can do for you and buy American!" That should do it, but I know I'm just being naive and it's more compkex than that.

This is as tricky as trying to pay a living wage in Nigeria in my opinion. Government can't afford to pay it and would be hypocrites trying to get the private sector to. But it should remain on the agenda all the same.
