ChinenyeOsi: Good day everyone. Please i have a very urgent question about this uk spouse visa.
I applied a week ago from V.I, Lagos. My documents were alright but there are two problems.
1. I didn't do the TB test or include the certificate 2. My proof of English is my bsc and I haven't collected the certificate as I didn't school in Nigeria. I submitted school fees receipts showing I paid for all 4 years though and letter showing I was not indebted to the school financially.
I called uk visa customer care and they sent an email to Sheffield on my behalf and said Sheffield will write me back with instructions as to whether I can still submit any document or not as my application is already ongoing and I have received an email saying that they've started consideration. However, a family friend advised that I just send the TB certificate to them before they ask..
Please help me guys.. I'm confused about this and also what are the chances of being granted the visa in this situation. My husband and I do not want to lose that money and we've been away from each other since our wedding in March.. Did you by any chance go through this forum or other forums before you put in the application or you spoke to a lawyer who said you could do without those documents? I think the best you can do is wait for them to get back to you for what you can do... As it is now everything has been submitted...lets hope and pray everything goes well as those documents you missed out are very important. Good luck! |

Portsmouth86: @Batba1
for my husband to come to the UK I bought Royal Air Maroc, stop in Casablanca (2hr stop) a one way cost about £320 booked it Mon 8th Feb for travel on Saturday 13th Feb, so very close to departure date, also out of season.
It all depends when you book it, eg we are now in peak season for flights Yea thanks a lot...same flight now goes for about £440...very understandable its peak time for them |

Lexusgs430: If medview is £550 then it's best to fly direct. But Gatwick is your destination. Goodluck Sure thank you! |

Lexusgs430: Seems the cheaper alternatives are other African routes. I think Portsmouth86 bought Ethiopian Airlines or Air Maroc. They seem the only routes with pocket friendly prices. Come September, tickets would be around the £393 plus. Yea boss...I knew about air Maroc as well but a one way now costs about £450...I think il just do medview for like £550 |

EZAKY: after 90 working days of waiting for my uk settlement visa, we called and they said they couldn't track my application, i also sent an email and below is their response, the information i gave is correct, i dont know why they cant track the application.
Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry Service. We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your visa application. I have tracked the status GWF and date of birth and found that there are no current updates. This could be because your application was submitted recently or the details that you have provided above are incorrect.
my application was submitted march 9th and document received by them on the 13th of march. Any suggestions on what we sld do? my hubby wanted to contact their MP but since it wasn't 120 days yet i told him not to. Sorry to hear you've Bn waiting for that long...you will hear good news very soon by Gods grace |

Nikesteve: Alright Mr Lexusgs430 if you don't want to answer my question don't bother yourself okay ....you don't expect me to stop my husband after he as pay for the lawyer to submit my application....so if you feel to important to help then keep your advices to yourself....you are not God already so in my Lord Jesus I trust okay ..I will come back here and share good news to other people that want good thing for others Hahahahah trust me he's gon be your best friend on this forum after this...hahahaha Maybe if you read majority of the pages on here you'd understand how he tries to help by easing the tension so in the midst of the worry you can still smile and look at the brighter side to his comments... I think he was just trying to say the lawyer would most likely not regard you trying to teach him his job...same as you wnt like a client to tell you about ur job. Your lawyer knows best even as you have paid him to do the job. nor vex Ehn...Biko |

Lexusgs430: Thank you Boss. You started your enquiry in March and by July 2016, you are smiling all the way to Murtala Mohammed Airport (destination London Heathrow or other UK airports). Did you require a lawyer for any of your application process? Hahaha no oo...no need for lawyer even though I voluntarily returned in 2014 after having lived in London since 2010, and also with 4 refusals altogether (tier 5) since Feb 2015 It's just down to being honest in the application really and reading this forum from page 1 to the last page haha...time consuming but this material heavy and worth every second!!! Make we publish am nah Abi |

Caribbeanwify28: Hi guys, my husband's settlement visa is now on 63 working days, the biometric was done 20th April. I emailed UKVI on my husbands behalf yesterday and received a reply this morning stating.."I have tracked the status and found that a decision on your application has been delayed whilst further enquiries are being conducted." The waiting is so hard... They've had 63 days to enquire I don't understand what is taking so long. So annoying erghhh Don't worry it's generic as far as I know...you'll get the decision made email before Friday going by what's on other forums...they are currently doing the ones around the 60 day mark...stay positive...fingers crossed for you...get your bags ready |

obabola123: Hello, I just receive this from HO now. Can anyone gues what is happening? Am feeling very worry now.
Today is the 57days of my application. Check below:----
Regarding Visa Application: GWF
Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.
Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.
We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.
Kind Regards,
Sheffield Visa Section I won't be surprised if you get a decision made email today...Av seen cases where they send that same email and send decision made email before the end of the day. You should get a decision by d 60th day or few days after. Let's be positive and fingers crossed for you...we will all smile in the next few days/weeks. |
