Sometime in February, I was replying some important whatsapp messages when I suddenly found myself added to a new whatsapp group by a random dude who has my number.

This guy added me to a group that was created for the purpose of monitory contributions for the marriage ceremony of a mutual acquaintance.

The group admin ever since has posted messages at intervals asking members of the group to contribute money for his friend's wedding.

I know the guy who is about to wed quite alright but we are not friends and I'm not sure we have even had a phone conversation together. We just see once in a while and say hello.

The guy getting married didn't even extend any wedding invite to me in person. And while I won't rule out the idea of gifting him for his wedding, I believe adding me to a group and asking me for money is absurd and annoying.

Who else has encountered this kind of situation and how did you handle it.

My own is constantly family members.if u cannot afford to do big ceremony...jst do tradional n forget white wedding.why disturb ur family members for contributions to ur wedding.people should learn to live according to their means
