Justiceori2019: Without me Wike Wouldn't Have Become Governor, Mbu Joseph Recounts His Role In Wike’s Political Trajectory Unrewarded.
Retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Mbu Joseph Mbu has expressed disappointment over what he perceives as the lack of recognition for his contributions to the political career of former Rivers State Governor and current FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Speaking with Daily Trust on the political crisis ongoing in the state between Wike and his successor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Mbu, whose role during the 2014–2015 political crisis in Rivers State had often been described as controversial, stated that despite his efforts, especially during Wike’s political rise, he feels unappreciated, particularly by Wike himself.
Mbu recounted instances where he felt abandoned, such as when he was contesting his retirement and reached out to Wike for support, only to be ignored. He highlighted his close relationship with Wike, stating that he would have intervened in any personal issues the governor faced, but was disappointed when his calls went unanswered.
“Without me, he would not have become Governor, because I knew where to hit the government power,” he said.
Mbu also said that he has watched Governor Fubura and that, despite not knowing him, he can see that he is a thorough and sound person.
SmartyPants: If you have a personal problem with Dangote that's for another thread. We are talking about FX here and every single item exported from Nigeria earns FX for us. This then has an impact on the naira. That's all there is to it.
I don't hav problem wit dangote.it sad that our number 1 problem such as cost of fuel is irrelevant to u.Its ok lets suffer together in peace
Secondly, why should you care what particular product it is as long as it is bringing in fx income? Are you sure you understand what we are talking about at all??
Fuel oil is used by ships for power generation.who cares abt naptha. He promised petroleum products n mind u, naija cbn provided fx to fund that project to d detriment of naija.ask urself why there is no product till date.
SmartyPants: The one that has already sent out shipments? You don't know that even without refining PMS there are other marketable products being produced? Rest sir.
M not aware any shipments hav been sent out yet.who care Abt other marketable product as long as it's not petrol, dpk and AGO
Why is this Reno sounding stupid always.so we should continue doing tins that are backwards becos it's a thing of culture?wasn't d new announced years ago ?
Dangs1989: I bought USD when it was little above 1600 naira to 1USD, and I didnt sale it until last week when it was around 1240naira to USD.
Every 2 minutes I check online if the rate has gone up, always under undue pressure, thinking a lot about the loss. I eventually decided to dispose it and now i am a HAPPY MAN and praying for the dollar to crash more. I feel more patriotic to Nigeria now.
I will invest the money in something else and recover my loss.
My dollar hoaders please sell your FOREX now to avoid more losses.
Sell wetin...I go keep am till next year.i Dave in dollars n pounds not naira
SmartyPants: I don't see any cause for alarm. The major cause is the clearance of the fx backlog. Nigeria has had a trade surplus for a while and this is only going to increase once the refineries operate fully.
U still tink refinery that is not yet complete will change anything...u are really easily deceived sir
Kokadomfreedom: After commissioning this refinery last year during Buhari's regime, it is one rhetoric or the other we keep hearing without anything to show.
Babangidapikin: Proposed ke, let him sell at what is profitable to him and his company... Buy Nigeria products you na go dey do shakara ... Glo crash MTN .. Air Peace don crash that yeye Proposed National carriers price ..Messr Dangote Refinery don crash Diesel price ...Buy made in Nigeria products... Nigeria products don't bite your pocket ...
GarbaAudu: Imagine! A Federal Minister telling Nigerians "all of us have traveled overseas before and we know how white people managed electricity..." Adelabu is a 1st class Accounting graduate from OAU. Sadly, he lacks emotional intelligence. Tinubu could have offered him a smaller portfolio, not a highly sensitive and volatile task like power ministry.
I go abroad n lived abroad a lot.i never met any family switching off freezers.ano they switch off lights n use energy saving water heaters
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2O5vv6b8Si4?si=EwiLD1Lm2TJCf0v1 In a bizarre video, Minister of Power Mr. Adebayo Adelabu can be heard blasting Nigerians for keeping their refrigerators and air conditioners running all the time because the electricity tariffs is cheap
Excerpts: "We don't have the culture of consumption management in this country in terms of power, just because of the cheapness of the tariffs you pay in power. Alot of people will come back from work and they want to play with thier colleagues down the road, they will switch on the AC for the room to be cooling before they come back. Yes! Some people will be going to work in the morning, a freezer has been left on for days they will still leave it on when all the items in the freezer has frozen they will still leave it on to be consuming power just because we are not paying enough!"
How can this country work when individuals like this serve as ministers? A Minister of Power who lacks a fundamental understanding of how refrigerators work
Firstly, freezers compressor don't run continuously.theystop wen temp setpoint is reached.
rentAcock: Na so. His net worth is $10 million and he wants us to believe he can afford a jet of $75 million and this is supposed to be his 3rd private jet. He will never come out and say he leases the jets like 95% of celebrities do. They pay monthly rent fee to use the plane, none of them own the jets outright except for the filthy rich types like Jay Z, Oprah and Co.
U dey mind that fcker that is into so many unknown tins
Ikaeniyan0: more than 65% of what we imported last year was refined petroleum. Just imagine when we stop importing refined petroleum, we will save more than 65% of the dollars we spend on importing refined petroleum.
Wat if dangote refuses to sell product in naira due to its instability
okoroemeka: And what Mr omokri said was not far from the truth,if the new refinery pumps slightly cheaper products to the markets and stops the importation of hydrocarbons which gulps 40% of forex, you don't need to be an economist to know that dollar will fall when there is 40% less demand
Where will d crude come from?do u know he still uses dollars to import crude?
I still wonder who takes Reno seriously. Sincerely!
For those believing that naira will appreciate when Dangote's fuel hits the market .. Dey play o!
Wishful thinking is expecting a litre of petrol to drop in price or naira will appreciate when Dangote's fuel hit the market.
What will make a huge difference is if:
1. Dangote sells back to Nigeria in naira
2. Nigeria has enough oil to sell to Dangote without Dangote having to import more oil in dollars from foreign countries.
Without these, Reno and those believing him are jokers
Most of this people no get sense.dangote never signed an undertaking to sell products in naira,so how does fuel availability affect exchange rate wen even Nigeria itself has sold some part of future crude productions hence dangote refinery will need dollars to import if it's to run at full capacity
Photo 1: Before and After. Before: World Central Kitchen employees talk to the camera while making a video. After: Both are dead.
Photo 2: Photo of the lady in the previous photo. She is dead.
Photo 3: Remains of another employee. Beside him is another dead person. The uppermost part of his body, including his head is missing. That person is likely their Palestinian driver, Saif Issan.
Photo 4: Another photo of the World Central Kitchen employees killed by Israel. Their passports are placed on them. There is no passport on the corpse of their Palestinian driver because Israel has repeatedly deprived Palestine of a statehood, which means Palestinians cannot have passports, are not citizens of any country, and cannot travel internationally.
Wat is d essence of this post?Israel already took responsibility n apologized. This is Wat...it happens.its impossible for Israel to intentionally target aid workers
Zxcvbnmghtr: Are you sure that baby is not another man's seed?!! You know men and their love of invading their follow man's field to sow their seed. The reason why men do this is what I don't understand.
E dey swit to collect another mans kpekus...na so God do am
