I cannot imagine anyone opening a thread today for king of the Niger Delta of NL or whatever and people from the ND would see it as bigotry. How?

lagcity: WTF is this one talking about? I did acknowledge them by implying that they are better than the PDP Governors we had in the west.

It is very funny how you keep foaming in the mouth over new SW governors and Aregbesola who's actually one of the best and proactive governors in Nigeria right now. Even your own governor who's been there for ages doesn't measure up to Aregbeshola. Your tribal fish brain won't let u see.
My guy, my governor is plodding foward as a mr average. He is visible because we are surrounded by states with the highest performing governors in Nigeria.

Aregbesola on the other hand? Don't make me spit in disgust!
He couldn't even pick commissioners for a good 9 months! After hail and thunder promises for the dry season, he has rolled up like a shrunken whimper and is now making hilarious allegations that someons wants to murder him to take over the SW. Dude, Aregbesola is mad.

Politics › Re: NLNG Head-Quarters Moved To Port-Harcourt (From Victoria Island) by Beaf: 8:35pm On Apr 12, 2012
debosky: This just shows how STOOPID you really are. NLNG started as an idea in the 70s when Lagos was the seat of power - it was all about negotiating the deals required to get the project off the ground, so it is completely logical it would have to be in Lagos to start with. It is quite foolish of you to claim it is in Lagos because of underhand deals - mention just ONE underhand deal that led to its existence in Lagos.

You are a consummate retard to say this - making a move that should cost say $20m against one that cost $70m is neither here nor there? Has your entire generation ever understood the value of $1m not to talk of %50m for you to glibly state it is neither here nor there?

You are too stoopid for words - kindly state the price of the alleged helicopter flights compared to rent. Resorting to blatant falsehoods to support idiotic decisions - I wouldn't expect anything less from the buffoon called Beaf.

Business sense involves planning ahead for a move and doing it in a way that carries along your employees. Shell's plan to move was executed over a period exceeding 2 years and was smoothly done - however, because a certain MD was soon to retire and wanted to secure lucrative deals for his cronies and family members before retirement, he forced the move through in 60 days.

Being an adherent of corruption, I don't expect you to see the folly in this idiocy.
Ok, mr clever. The company has moved and others will follow. Do you feel like hanging now?

Politics › Re: Picture Of President GEJ With Students Of The New Almajiri School In Sokoto by Beaf: 8:24pm On Apr 12, 2012
ekwy nwa: bros am really concerned with the calibre of characters that will tutor these children, since the objective of this school is to curtail the menace of BH, the nature and quality of their teachers should be paramount to all.
Teachers of Almajiri schools usually serve as spiritual consultants to political elites, how then can we possibly stop their negative influence on these children, does the minister of education ve the political will to change these teachers? It’s not enough to build and commission the ‘’body’’ of the school (class room blocks) without addressing the ‘’soul’’ (teachers and doctrines) if this is not properly dealt with, we will surely come back to zilch.
Minister of Education, Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufai, said that the schools would be equipped with basic facilities to promote the learning of Islamic religious knowledge and western education. But regrettably she did not make mention of their teachers which to me is a very vital issue, you can’t transform a child without a proper reorientation of their psychic and of course their pervious teachers will not readily do that.
Let me also point this out…. ''Boko Haramism'' aka terrorism is an indoctrination menace, they re programmed to act like robots by their teachers whom they revere so much. much wont really be achieved if the status quo of their teachers re not altered.
I hope this Almajiri project will not fade into irrelevance like the Nomadic Education programme of the Ibrahim Babangida administration. Hausa Fulani herdsmen are still big security threat to many Nigerians despite all efforts made at educating them.
Your concerns are very much in order. The foundation has been laid, we can only hope and pray that the govt shows the willpower to see it through to success, especially as it is a longterm plan.

As for the teachers, the old mallams are not going to able to teach integrated science, social studies, maths etc. These things can only be done by regular teachers. The use of regular teachers will put a brake on the pervasive grip of mallams on the kids lives. For this to succeed though, it is important to have the full and sincere backing of members of the Sultanate as the head of the branch that promotes the almajiri culture.

It must really be sad being you. embarassed cry

debosky: Beaf is quite silly to be talking about underhand deals, when underhand deals are precisely behind the rushed move.

Would it have killed NLNG to remain in its current offices till 2013 when its permanent HQ would've been completed at Eastern bypass in PH?

Why rush through a decision to move in 60 days when the initial plan was 2 years - involving massive cost in renting accommodation for staff unprepared for such a move as well as renting accommodation for offices?

What is the 'sudden' benefit from this quick move that was not previously identified when the 3 year move plan was devised?

SPDC moved its HQ to PH, did it rush it through in 60 days? It was planned, well reasoned out and logical. Even Shell did not move all its offices out of Lagos but kept aspects that didn't require to be in PH in Lagos.
If not for underhand deals, they wouldn't have been in Lagos in the first place. Talking about their building being completed is neither here nor there. Bottomline is they were slated to move one way or the the other, whether 2012 0r 2013. Period.
I few less helicopter rides from Lagos will pay the rent anyway, so whats the big deal?

Business sense has been aknowledged, lets leave it at that and leave aside circular arguments.

Dunce.

In a pincer movement encompassing Gbangan and Ogbomoso at 14:00 hours this afternoon, a small force of our elite commando's smashed through the weak, rag tag defences of the underworld criminal, dayokanu.

Dayokanu was disgracefully found hiding underneath his wife under the bed. As we speak, the weeping weakling is trussed up for summary execution at 20:00 hours pending a high ransome. We trust that it will be paid to save us the trouble of mopping up cowardly remains.

Unfortunately quite unlike you, the statement of “as soon as the war declared, Biafra immediately invaded the Midwest and declared us the independent Republic of Benin” left much to desired.

Take time to ponder about this question, who and what declared the war against whom?
You gave dates and places, except you failed to give the dates and places that were invaded.
If not dishonesty, I don't know how you can invade someones land and turn around to accuse them of "betraying" you. It is people of your age that go around spreading these falsehoods to the younger ones like kettykin.

Given that business operations can be managed from any part of the world, these days, I'm interested in the real reason for this move. What are the activities of the employees of NLNG at the current Lagos location? No guesses please, if you know the answer, please inform me.[/quote]People have already told of how they needed to board Bristow helo's and aerocontractor planes like taxi shuttles between Lagos and the ND.
That sort of thing only makes sense when there are underhand deals to fund such stress.

Cut out the deals and business sense takes over.

Dede1: This is one of the boldest lies propagated to save face. I guess you are smarter than this crap. Federal government had moved LGO and transformed it into Division in mid-western region in place called Escravos. The military governor of mid-western region, along with the governor of northern region, administrator of Lagos, governor of western region, and chief of naval staff, endorsed Gowon in declaration of war against eastern region. Mid-western region was a member of Nigeria delegation which reneged on accord signed at Aburi, Ghana.

Nigeria declared war on Biafra on July 6, 1967. On July 17, 1967, Nigeria launched amphibious attack on Bonny in eastern region from Escravos in mid-western region. On July 26, 1967, Bonny fell to the Nigerian forces from Escrovos made of people from Isoko, Urhobo, Itsekiri, Ilaje, Ijo, Edo, Yoruba and Ishan.

It was on August 8, 1967 that Biafra retaliated by rapid encroachment into mid-western region in a bide to disrupt the regular supply of personal and material to 3MCDO with its headquarter at Escravos, Mid-western region.

Even a domesticated monkey can discern July 26, 1967 is a date that occurred before August 8, 1967.
Everything above is a lie. Rather, as soon as the war was declared, Biafra immediately invaded the Midwest and declared us the independent Republic of Benin without even asking us!
Then they made their way through to Ore. Please don't revise history and further lose credibility, you are fooling only yourself with all this name dropping and crap, as if the war started from Escravos.

ekwy nwa: @ beaf

Almajiri school can not curtail the activities of Boko Haram, the class room blocks only amounts to shallow attempt in redeeming a corrupt system deeply rooted in peculiar beliefs and customs,Most of this BH boys re well read, BH is a philosophic movement and has nothing to do with education, after all Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was not a street Almajiri he is from a very rich background and well schooled too. why Almajiri shouldn’t the school be called something else? Almajiri educational system is propagated and encouraged by some moslem sects. The system represents child abuse and the school system is a training podium for religious extremists, teachers of Almajiri schools re known spiritual associates of northern political elites and traditional rulers.

The activities of almajiris will not simply fade away by pumping money into it. It is impossible to stop hostility in the north by building fanciful blocks of classrooms and presidential photo shots with almajiris. There is an urgent need for a comprehensive attention to details on issues of poverty, family planning and responsible parenting.
No, my sister, you are wrong. Firstly, the project is not meant to defeat boko haram of today (those kids are still too young to join). Its is to prevent the boko haram of tomorrow by giving the kids an alternative vision of life that is tangible, bright and aspirational. It is filling that gaping void the traditional almajiri system creates (to later fill with hatred) with the everyday hopes and dreams of a normal childhood. It is turning them toward productivity, making them functional members of society; instead of the singular path of hopelessness, mayhem and murder that abuse in their early years would have foisted on them.

I agree with you entirely about the need for a more comprehensive look at poverty, family planning and responsible parenting. However, GEJ needs to gain trust at street level in those areas first through making the right contacts.
If this policy is followed with seriousness, we should begin to see the right contacts slowly percolating through, and then change can be accelerated in the North.

Olaolufred: beaf, I do not have argument that ndu chucks is a Fulani man. But do you think I will take that without a proven proofs?
If I do that, then I will be operating at the level of the-brainwashed like the almanjiri victims.
Whether it is political Idea or not, we will see more responses from govt. He has to listen, because He and his predecessors failed Nigerians-icluding Boko Haram.

As for his campaign, he is already failing in this class. Let him prove himself fit by scoring a pass mark. May be nigerians may look at his side if he scores 52%.
As for me, I am regretting voting him already. So, he can never get my vote again.
These schools are a fantastic campaign passmark, bro. Others will follow, cos GEJ means well.
My only fear is the policing of the idea behind the schools, so that it remains on course, protected from the wicked elite who enslaved the kids in the first place. Once that is achieved, 90% of the security problems and poverty in the North would have been kicked into the tall grass.
