ono: Positive development. Wonder what the HQ was doing in Lagos in the first place. Chevron, ExxonMobil and others who have their operational bases should move out of congested Lagos with immediate effect - too.
Exactly! All other companies need to follow suit. It is ridiculous for the oil companies to have their head offices in Lagos or Abuja, in fact it only points at marginalisation, racketeering and ugly deals.
Have you recently tried to apply for job? Not talking about NL job.

I disagree with your misconception of the spanish language and its importance. The onset of Spanish importance in North America had nothing to do with Spain and its economy.
Its because of Mexico.
North America is not the World either. I don't see anywhere else outside of the likes of Mexico where Spanish is of any real economic importance.

We are better off speaking languages which are more natural to us, than struggling to keep up with second languages that are waning in importance anyway.
It is proven that children learn better in their mother tongue and after that, languages that are similar to their mother tongue. English has nothing to do with us and little to offer us developmentaly.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Ghana Urges End To Queen's English! - Naija, It's Time To Adopt Pidgin!!! by Beaf: 4:52am On Apr 11, 2012
^^^ Language does not necessarily become more or less important solely on economic shift.

Take spanish for example.
Spanish is unimportant. It is widely spoken, but of little economic use; its importance has gone South with the diminishing of Spain.
Just like in todays World, Queens English is almost a museum piece that has long been overtaken by American English. That dialect of English too will wane with America's dimming economic star.

What do you mean little evidence? The World economy has gone East, the craze among big business in Europe is learning Mandarin.
English will remain ubiquitous, but increasingly unimportant to the global economy.

Wetin dey my padi?? How far na? Omo boy don dey sabi speak pidgin oh, nuttin do you my guy.. grin grin grin grin grin
You sound as annoying as the Ghanaian example (almost threw up when I read it).
There is nothing like "dey" in Pidgin, except you want to pose as a LAFA. The word is "de." You can be excused with "deh."

Anyway, good effort. I too believe that we should dump English for Pidgin. I wonder if it is possible to develop while speaking a fake language. We express ourselves much better and much more naturally in Pidgin.
ROFLMFAO dude, you should have asked around about me before engaging on this your lies.I'm good in getting people's quotes. Even the bold justify the shymmexx accusation if you no know.

One.) you and all of them HAVE THE SAME GRAMMAR, WRITING, ETC, I don't know whom or what told you otherwise, that is the biggest give away but I won't use that i'll use other things

Exhibit A (Shymmexx words)

Na your bittenyend post

Amazing how two different people pretty much mouthing each other words.

Exhibit B:

Shymmexx way of cancelling people original way and including Biafra

Ironically enough the so called "different man" Bittend does the same thing

compare bittenyend words on this thread

amazing how they correlate eachother

Exhibit D:

on this thread again: https://www.nairaland.com/904132/boko-haram-mend-igbo-tribalists/2#10502907

Notice how any attack done to bittenyend even when that said someone uses the word OP, shymmexx does the rebuttal and attack (sometimes). It is like somebody ( lipsrsealed) fought he was still logged on as shymmexx

I'll use one example for now: Ukbobo comment

Noticed the person whom replied immediately that's right shymmexx

Whom is the OP, bittenyend. Noticed how UKbobo finally realized the shymmexx and bittened were the same person.

Too tired to continue, All I can say is for anyone to watch both this account carefully with an open mind, see them as separate identities, you'll notice a pattern with each their open topics, writing, etc.

As for Alj_harem and Jason, unfortunately, this two account have way too many replies and I do not have time going through all of them one by one. All I know is for others, watch alj_harem accounts, words, grammar, etc carefully and you'll notice a pattern with bittenyend and shymmexx. As for jason, na hear I hear am and na today I hear am, I haven't deducted that carefully.

As for Brixtonyute's account

Watch the topics:
https://www.nairaland.com/brixtonyute/topics

Watch this guys (shymmexx) topics
https://www.nairaland.com/shymmex/topics

Watch this guys (bittend) topics
https://www.nairaland.com/bittyend/topics

Notice a pattern in their romance and politics thread, unless we have a stupid bug running around UK that we've never heard of or one man holds this stupidity trait and using three ids to pretend otherwise.

If we say that the problems in the North are caused by widespread lack of education, then what can be wrong with educating the people?
Long before boko haram started and right here on NL, I argued that illiteracy in the core-North was Nigeria's biggest security threat; today, that argument is like a prophecy.

There is nothing more dangerous than an ignorant person and nobody more easily brainwashed than an illiterate. Educate the people and 90% of our problems will be solved; it is straightforward and easy. Everyone benefits; the abuse of the kids as begging almajiri's/riot weapons will cease, Nigeria's productive workforce will increase and the intensity of regional rivalries will decrease as we begin to read the same books and see through the same eyes.

Everyone wins.
Nothings changed just the look of the school. The kids that are begging on the streets attend almajiri schools. Also, after the are done with their islamic education, where will they get jobs? What skills will they have? Same person, different jacket.
You couldn't be more wrong, the new system includes western education.
Underneath the facade is the standardisation of the almajiri system.
Standardisation includes accreditation, setting qualifications for mallams, gradual criminalisation etc. You know the drill.

As they say, "softly, softly catch monkey."

KnowAll: Building of schools like this should have been under d purvey of LG, unfortunately d state Governors have hyjacked LG govt funds to d detriment of LG. The financial independence of LG is something we should pursue with reknewed vigour.
Word.
However, in the case of almajiri schools, the LG's would have behaved exactly the same way as the state govts and abandoned the kids to a life of violent crime. The abuse of those kids has been institutionalised by the elite; it is that culture that needs breaking.
The financial independence of LG's is a laudable goal, but is a different matter all together.

You either want someone who is conversant with graph theory and its algorithms or you want to read them up yourself.
You want algo's like A-Star, Dijkstra, Boyer Moore etc. It would depend on what you want and how your data is structured.

My advice for you is to stop posting stuff you know nothing about. You and you ogas are not Software Engineers so it is not for you to come on this forum to post trash about Software Engineers. I can see that you believe software developments starts and ends with what your ogas tell you and what you do at your place of work. This make you feel you know all, but the truth is that you know very little about Software development and instead of criticizing advance stuff you know nothing about, it will be better for you to ask questions about what you don't know so that you can learn something new, which you can tell your ogas about.

ACN is a political party that desperately wishes to be identified as an ethnic group.

Yeah, one only has to criticise ACN to be called a bigot on NL. What other party does that?
ACN is a just a nascent version of the BNP or KKK.
How does anyone get called a bigot for criticising ACN if the party is not desperately striving to be seen through ethnic lenses.

What a pity!

Politics › Re: Boko Haram Plans Massive Attacks In June To Prove Jonathan Wrong by Beaf: 7:27pm On Apr 10, 2012
fork adict: Listen up Beef.

As much as i can not independently verify the authenticity of the article yet and as much as i try to refrain from hurling insults at people, I must say that you are a big nuisance not only on NL but to all sensible and well meaning nigerians. You are one of the lowest people i know on nairaland. please note that the purpose of this piece of mine is not to take sides with Gbawe. far from it but i feel an overwhelming urge to give you a piece of my mind.

Every single post of yours on NL makes me sick to my stomach. i don't know of anyone, dead or alive (with the exception of GEJ) that i feel so much loathe and contempt for. You strike me as a downright stooopid and immature psychophant with an extremely eroded morals. It might be ok to be one's supporter even perhaps a hard core supporter but one should put in some honor in the quest. One should be able to tell when the hero has made mistakes or is even incompetent and profess same with tact. But in your case, GEJ is ALWAYS right even when 90% of nigerians know otherwise. To you GEJ is the wises and most purposeful leader naija has ever had even though his confused state and incompetence stink to high heavens.

In responding to the said article you started straight away by attacking the poster. To me,that is immaturity at its highest. i expected you to attack the content of the article and if truly GEJ has done somethings that we dont know (which i doubt cos i am resident in naija and i see these stuffs going on), you are to highlight such measures. If you've got stats, then quote them. It is only confused and clueless arguers that attack their opponents rather than the issue or the topic at hand. Which is what exactly you did here.

I am of the opinion that you feel GEJ is on top of the situation regarding Boko Haram right? Do you know that all those 100 plus Okada riders that were killed in Kaduna a few days ago and also thousands of people that have been killed in the past are humans just like you? Some even have dependents. Have you asked yourself, what will the fates of their dependants will be now that their bread winners are no more? And to further compound these issues, what crimes have they committed to deserve such sudden, untimely and gruesome deaths? Only that they happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. AQnd after each attack, you come on here to defend your idi.otic boss? have you got a conscience at all? Every time you type the rubbish you usually post defending your boss on NL do you feel 100% clean and free?

It is my prayer that a loved one of yours or even you too will be as unfortunate as the victims and will find yourself at the venue of Boko Haram's subsequent attacks. but i dont pray for your death, I only pray that you will have your both arms and legs amputated afterward. Maybe you'll then be able to fully appreciate how grave and how real BH threat is to us nigerians.
What an unrefined soul.

You actually wish for my physical harm or the physical harm of one of my loved ones, because our views are different?
What then separates you from boko haram? In what ways are you different from a terrorist or a primerval beast of the fields?

It is a pity that you can come out in public to express such deep hatred for people, but more than anything; it reveals the gory recesses in the dark and murky corners of your very troubled personality. It is my sincere prayer that you do not end up as a murderer, rap!st or armed robber.

My brother, go and take care of yourself, you are not worth a minute more of my time.

The closest I have seen to such an unrefined outburst is Gbawe's statement of almost unabashed love for boko haram for having the stomach to take on Nigeria:

Gbawe:
keep watching buddy. We will see who has overestimated their touted strenght within a Nigeria where the stomach, and not enduring principles, is king today. Boko Haram has been butchering Nigerians from all walks of life so far. What has been the reaction of those who vacuously make noise about their 'powermen' strenght on the net? Where was the immediate burning of Mosques after the Christmas attack to indicate a readiness for t.i.t-for-tat and we-wont-take-it-lying-down people like you tout?

Right now, the "owners of Nigeria" will do and undo , plus give the lead, while all Nigeria will follow as is the case so far !!! Many of you don't seem to understand that events on the ground has overtaken the history you so much hold on to and assume other share feverishly , as dogmatic mantra, with you.
