That they got stuck on alcohol or even drugs, because NL is damn addictive! ![]() |
safariman:That might be the only reason he and Babalola were let in. As I said earlier, I hope this level of discipline is carried forward and is not just to catch attention. . . .We be watching. |
I hope this level of discipline does not change after a few months. I would have loved to see Maduekwe's face, he is is the same type as Aondoakaa. |
Jonathan locks out Maduekwe, Babalola for lateness By Ihuoma Chiedozie, Abuja, Published: Tuesday, 9 Feb 2010 Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan, once again, on Monday showed glimpse of what could be expected from him when he fully takes charge of government by locking out two ministers from a meeting for coming late. The two ministers, Foreign Affairs Minister, Chief Ojo Maduekwe, and Power Minister, Dr. Lanre Babalola, arrived late for a meeting between a Federal Government team led by the vice-president, and a delegation of the management of the European Investment Bank. The meeting was scheduled for 1pm. Maduekwe was late by 15 minutes, while Babalola arrived 20 minutes behind schedule. Maduekwe was visibly stunned when he got to the door of the Vice-President’s Conference Room, only to be informed by the security orderlies at the post that he would not be allowed to enter. Maduekwe had to solicit the assistance of the vice-president’s Chief Security Officer before he could be admitted to the meeting. He was overheard explaining that he was informed of the meeting on the telephone just about five minutes to its commencement. Babalola suffered a similar fate when he arrived five minutes after Maduekwe entered. On his part, Babalola explained that he was not aware of the meeting until he was informed about it through a telephone call just about 10 minutes before it was scheduled to commence. He was also allowed to enter the conference room after explaining himself to the Vice-President’s CSO. This is the second time Jonathan would bar ministers for lateness. In the first instance, he shelved a scheduled meeting of the Economic Management Team because some principal participants, including the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mr. Odein Ajumogobia, were late. The incident led to an unusual punctuality in attendance at the next day’s Federal Executive Council meeting as ministers rushed to avoid Jonathan’s wrath. http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art201002094355025 |
In this order: 1. Aba Aji 2. Ruma 3. Andoakaa |
texazzpete:I would rather first remember 'the fallen women, children and elderly souls needlessly cut down with the weapons of their own "protector"', the FG. Innocent civilian women, children and the elderly are in a completely category from regular combat losses. But every life is sacred and any life lost in the ND crisis is regrettable, but also avoidable loss on the FG's part. |
This is very encouraging news. All the same, speed of reaction (as in the Mutallab case) needs a lot of working on. |
MandingoII:Some famoues Geechee's: * Jim Brown * Chubby Checker * Joe Frazier * James Jamerson * Jazzy Jay * Michelle Obama[2] * Clarence Thomas[3] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gullah#Famous_African_Americans_with_Gullah_roots You need to really sit down and think Mandingo. This is getting out of hand. You have to grow up, this isn't minor. Are you really beyond redemption? I am lost for words. ![]() |
bilymuse:In 2009, Warri-South (Gbaramatu) was added to the genocide list. We remember the fallen women, children and elderly souls needlessly cut down with the weapons of their own "protector", the FG. Cut down by weapons purchased by their daily sacrifice. |
JosBoy4Lif:The root of Nigeria's problem is every state going to beg for money in Abuja. It isn't any of the above. Whenever we decide to practice true federalism, both the monthly governors Abuja begging bowl congregation and all other ill's will die out. If we practice true federalism, those who want to practice sharia will have every opportunity; business and development will simply move elsewhere. |
MandingoII:So you discriminate against your fellow AA's too? You are truely lost. |
redsun:The only proper way to put our slaver past behind us is by apologising and making recompense. |
redsun:The smarter ones have heard the homecall and are flocking back. It is a pity Nigeria is stormy at the moment to call her children home, but both Ghana and Senegal have set standards that need surpassing. http://www.fihankrainternational.org/ |
MandingoII:Deceive yourself all you like, you are still black with Ijebu and Oghareki blood pumping through your veins; that is why you can't leave NL. Your ex-jailbirds come out and shoot down the next black baby for the next line of coke. It doesn't matter where they are . . .Africa or the US. Keep deceiving yourself, I'm sure Alex Haley isn't blacker skinned than you. |
MandingoII:Your government is selling its poor to Satan and throwing the dosh in private pockets; why are black Americans most affected by foreclosures? Why are black Americans disproportionately represented in your "beautiful" nations jails? Why are black Americans disproportionately represented in mental health cases? Sucker! Africa might not be "beautiful", but we are building it. Sit down and think. |
@edoyad You are trully an edcated slowpoke! Is Adamawa State not in northern Nigeria? Did the incident not happen in Adamawa State? Then whats so difficult to comprehend ? NOTE: Title of the thread reads, Yoruba WOMAN IS ADAMAWA SENATOR Don't let your hatred and arrogance clowd your judgement. @ paddy That can happen but not with the insults and goading from the ilks of edoyad and co. As a matter of fact the hausa/fulani man would accept anyone in so far as you will not disrespect him and particularly his religion. That is the key to peaceful co existance. By the way, a northern christian , Gen. Yakubu Gowon (from Angas tribe) ruled Nigeria - though not under demoratic setting - and still respected in the north.
There is something very wrong with the bolded text. It's happened more than once from you, I believe it's an error tho; so please correct it. |

MandingoII:And where do you think that money actually goes, sucker? You've been had! Some white dude is buying a porsche with your tear soaked dollar notes. ![]() I'm not saying there are no Africans that need help, but not through some oyibo 419 advert. It's better to get your hands dirty or give to reputable organisations like The Nelson Mandela Children's Fund; you will notice they don't make those incredible adverts of kids eating rock stew. |
This is a much more accurate depiction of Northern and Southern regions of Nigeria than we are shown. Note that all the Northern regions practice sharia and regularly host violent extremist riots. Please feel free to suggest corrections.
