You and Sen. Ben Bruce will pretend as if you did not read that Sen. Udoma Udo sent an amended Budget to the Committees in the House of Representatives and Senators.

The Minister for Budget and Planning, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, told our reporter at the weekend that the government included the project (Lagos-Calabar) in the 'amended budget' and passed it to the Standing Committees of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

http://saharareporters.com/2016/04/11/lagos-calabar-rail-project-new-controversy-between-arms-nigerian-government-over-2016
We are saying the same thing. Any budget not submitted by the president is null and void and would be considered a surreptitious move to sneak foreing material into the budget. Pride and arrogance did not allow Amaechi and his principal to follow due process! Like the surreptitious stealing of the budget in january, this is yet another one.

What has Murray-Bruce said please?
He said the Calabar-Lagos rail was not in the budget sent by the president. He said only the president has the right to submit additional or suplementary. Amaechi in his wisdom decided to deal with the Senate committee on Transportation behind closed doors to correct what he termed an omission of the rail project by the budget office. Its clear even to a blind man that both senate apc and presidency apc are in a battle of supremacy while the masses suffer!

These is just an opinion of a typical ignorant wailer. Why do you think sheriff is the new pdp chairman? Why do you think the boko haram mostly attacks mosques, villages and markets dominated by muslims? Why do you thing jonah-daft was careless about boko haram and even called them his brothers? Why do you think they attacked buhari? Why do you think azazi was bombed after accusing pdp of sponsoring boko haram?

We Can all see why pdp created boko haram. To reduce the voting power of the anti-pdp north and use insecurity as an excuse to steal money(dasuki). You don't know anything jare!.
Ali Modu Sherrif? Aaahh! Lozzz. He came from APC! He was a good man when he was in APC lolzz.... If you have the account number of the Boko people pls send it to me let me encourage them.

Why are the South South Senators still quiet?

I do not understand. Are the for the project or are they against it?
The south south senators are quiet because when everybody is talking, nobody is talking. The south south senators you talk about, is any of them the chairman of the comittee empowered to speak categorically on the issue? Has Ben Bruce not taken a position? Has Amaechi who is at the centre of everything issued a statement? Has the budget office taken a position? Can't you see that there is highwired politics of pride, ego and superiority playing out within the ranks and file of APC? The south south senators and south east which are mainly in the opposition should just siddon look and allow APC satisfy their egos. And BTW, apart from Ashafa who made a statement, who else from the south west has said any other thing about this?
The project in question is for the benefit of all and the lawmakers have told buhari that he should sign the budget for the interest of Nigerians and then bring whatever is left out that should be there in the supplementary.

The president rejected this olive branch and instead went away to far away china. Bros, allow APC to fight and settle themselves you hia.

Two things I'd love someone to shine light on are;

1. Why did the constitution give budget presentation rights to the executive & still reposed the powers to re-assign, cut, add, remove in short rewrite to suit the NASS whims & caprices at the same time.?

2. Whose function is more germane i.e who has more authority over a particular budget item defense/inclusion/exclusion (not on funding grounds, just on viability or priority grounds), Is it the Oversight committee of that particular MDA or the appropriation committee of the whole house...

Matured & rancour free engagement would be very nice. Thank you.

Mynd44, Lasticlala ... Good morning...
Modath, my mature contribution is this; Since the law allows the president to sign the budget since the NASS and Executive have agreed on at least 90% aspects of the budget, and then go ahead to capture whatever have been missing in the supplementary, why didn't the president accept this olive branch? You see Modath, I am tired of wailing! My business is suffering due to the incompetencies of all those handling this budget issue since december!
If you have the ears of the executive and Nass, pls tell them to bury their pride and get this thing done ejoor!

Why won't you type this nonsense, when he created boko haram in the north to kill innocent lives. Nonsense.

Blackouts and long queues have always been there. And as soon as those refineries are built, that problem would be solved permanently

About the 5K, arentt you one of those that kept saying its a waste of money, this and that? This is hypocrisy!
incase you have forgotten, boko haram is a creation of the north, by the north and for the north. I also hope you are have not forgotten why they created boko haram, financed it and defended. I will also finally remind you that their intensions paid off even at the risk of total annihilation of their tribe. You are barking up the wrong tree bingo.

My brother, if you don't know this set of people that's when you'll think they are fighting for the good of everybody, but their tribalism/propaganda stinks, watch how they've refused to hold their own to ransom, yet one of them went to twitter to shamelessly accuse another senator of another region. Talking about double standard.
Its so annoying. I am tired of the dramas of this administration.

I have followed up political developments from the twilight of this administration and find it hard to understand the grouse of the senators most especially those from the SE/SS with Rt Hon Rotimi Chubuike Ameachi.
At every turn of time and event they tried fruitlessly to paint this man as the enemy of his people meanwhile they are truly the wolf in sheep clothing.
The cheap blackmail against SE/SS senators who have nothing to do with the incompetence of this administration has been defeated already so look for someone else to blame. Why not blame Jonathan as usual? Mtcheeew.

The issue at hand is that this issue should have been debated before the budget was sent to the President.

The Money for the Railway project was set aside. The Senator Jibrin saw it, he did not find out what it was. Those representing us should have spoken about such a big project that will affect thousands of people in their Constituency.

I hope this is the last time our Senators will be docile in that house.

The member representing Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency Cross River State, Bassey Eko Ewa, expressed surprise that the Lagos-Calabar rail project that will benefit the people was removed from the budget.

“I am so surprised to hear this. How will it not be in the budget? The money that was appropriated to it, where is it?”

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/04/2016-budget-palaver-presidency-gives-fresh-conditions-assent/

Senator Jibrin's mind may not be on a project concerning the Niger Deltans but it should be on our Senators mind.
Jibrin is not a senator.

I also do not see why any right thinking person will remove such very important project if not for pure hatred for the man in charge (Amaechi). Do not underestimate our politicians because many of them can do the unthinkable.

For example, what could make a sane person say it publicly that his own mother wears diaper just to convince electorates that Buhari wears one too. And Fayose said it live and direct! Even if his mom does wear diaper, is it not gross and despicable that he could say that publicly?

So, I believe the thieves involved actually removed the project.
You did not answer my question. I singled you out to educate me cos I saw how passionate you were on the issue, you did not have to digress cos I am really trying to understand in full what the executive and assembly men are bickering about. I do not agree that the senate that confirmed Amaechi as a minister would now single him out for Hatred as you said, doesn't hold water at all. The project is not a personal project. I am also wondering why the Presidency will not sign the budget as it is, and send the remaining things in a suplementary budget later. I need answers, but I doubt if you can help. Prolly you are fixated on Fayose cos of my Profile message and passed an opportunity to share knowledge.

Read what you've written yourself and decide if you're making any sense.

The issue is, was a supplementary budget submitted for the rail project or not?

Did the Land Transports Committee receive the inclusion or not?

Did the committee submit the budget to the Appropriation Committee or not?

Was the project fraudulently removed by some legislooters from the final approved budget or not?

Now, look yourself in the mirror.
Passingshot, let's keep sentiment apart, if indeed everybody involved here played their parts well, why would any right thinking law maker expunge such a critical project from the budget? I have tried to figure what the motive is because both houses are controlled by the rulling party, I have also failed to see the possibility of any politicking cos I do not see the benefit for all involved to play politics with this. Personally, what's your conclusion?

so true!! sad I miss the joys of singlehood..

My wife doesn't even let me see the kids anymore, they're always at her sisters' or her mother's..she says I've lost my way.. She doesn't let me touch her.. She changed all her passwords.. I've been living without sex for 2years.. My balls are flooded.. I'm dying inside.. We're so dysfunctional.. I can't even concentrate at work..

She brought up divorce last sunday, at the dinner table, in front of the children.. Michael, Ruby, and kennedy didn't understand what was going on.. I'm sure of it.. But, I know clinton saw the pain in my eyes.. I watched him frown at his mother's tone..I was so annoyed.. It's Easter, where's the love??.. Why do you have to poison the hearts of our children??

And she won't let me keep the children.. Marriage is so difficult!! sad sad
I am so sorry about this bro! I hope you know you are not suffering alone, your wife, kids, relations and even your community is also suffering because of this. You didn't tell us what really happened tho I can imagine it will be a long story.

Deep down in your heart, you will know what went wrong, and at the jucture where you are, I will advise you too amicable separate (not divorce) for now and see if the space can help the two figure the whole issue out why maintaining a cordial relationship.
After a year of living apart, you both should know if you can continue or not.
