Family › Re: Why Naija Men Hardly Forgive A Cheating Partner. by bebe2(f):
I kind of see ur point.

Se-x in marriage is sacred like u said.

Most men will never touch the woman again if they find out they slept wit someone else.

Call it pride or watever u like but the fact is wat drives a woman to infidelity is totally different from wat drives a man.

We will all agree that most men think wiy their pe-nis, once the thing done stand something need to bring am down regardless of the consequences. And most times these actions have no emotional involvement.

Buutttt before woman open leg for another man, e don weigh am, calculate am, manipulate am and decide say its worth doing.

And once she try am once, she go hardly stop am. Even science says there is a certain hormone thats secreted during se-x dats imbibes the memory of the man in her for a very very long time.

So which man wants to be competing with dat??

pls desist from any tv with inbuilt dvd.
just get her this LG LED 32inch tvModel no:32LB53.
Price is around 45k. Then buy a tv high volt guard 1k, and 32inch tv wall mount 1k. Total 47k.
Oh, I thot it will be easy for her to operate, watching dvd and stuff.

Think I will stay clear then. Can deal wit frequent repairs.

I bought a 14inch LG tv in 1999 and till date it works. No repairs.

Source the items from Nigeria, you could find good deals in places like OLX (You gotta be careful though) but if your not in Naija then i'll suggest you use places like jumia or konga
Can they deliver to benin?

Am thinking of just going to the market and buying but I can't haggle. It gets me tired quickly and I often leave the feeling like I have been cheated.

Hmn, can you really get a flat screen TV with inbuilt dvd player?

You've got great and good plans for your grand mom. May God replenish your account smiley You will surely get these TVs at lower prices outside Nigeria, but make sure you consider shipping and delivery costs.

With N100k, you will get the remainder.

Some cookers do not require match sticks, so for safety, you can search for one.

Also, some like this http:///polystar-50x50-gas-cooker-2gas-2electric-with-gas-oven-1031969 has 2 electric hob and 2 gas hob, with inbuilt oven. To safe cost of gas, PHCN power can make mama some healthy beans and plantain. cheesy
Price here: N32,450.

To meet your budget, you can consider cheaper models (or table-top types) considering other related expenses like gas cylinder, etc.
Lol, na my mama oo. I be old mama pikin smiley

We are definitely going for table top because the oven will just be a waste. Mama cant bake to save her life cheesy proper old school

Okie,

I think a 32inch TV is okay for mama

I strongly recommend this:
http:///lg-32lb550-led-television

LED is ideal for an 80yr old mother. Unlike, LCD, LED TVs are relatively lighter, clearer, with good constrast. She won't strain her eyes while watching at different angles. She can comfortably sit at different corners and still get the same crystal clear movie.

Mama at 90 can still lift/move this sexy, thin and fine TV. Unlike the heavy LCDs, a 20 year old girl can lift a 32" LED TV with two fingers. Although, it's ideal to get a wall mount @ N3500.

Price is N48,700

OR

Get this LED Polystar 32 inch at N42,350

http:///polystar-32-led-television-pvled32e36
This is cheaper
My brother, God bless u.

This has really helped me.

Was beginning to think if buying here sending it on cargo.

I have promised my self 150k to upgrade her house. So wit a 50k tv a can squeeze out a fridge and a gas cooker and maybe a microwave shocked #cheap skate#

I will probably be going for the tv wit an inbuilt dvd player.

Nigerians have been doing 'self help' since the beginning of time.

They generate their own water, electricity, pay for security, contribute to buy electricity poles, transformers and all...

It is our leaders that haven't stopped milking dry, fundings meant for development.
Abi o,

Maybe they need to do more.

As in, move into their environment and start fixing it just as they did wit electricity and water.

Kai my sister!
You're taking this thing too farhuh
Now, I will not allow my sister, my friends' sisters or any lady remotely related to me to marry and depend on husband! neverhuh

Back to topic:
It's actually the government's responsibility to provide you and your children with:
1- food (3 square meals)
2- shelter
3- drinking water (atleast 3 litres per day per human)
4- water upto 1 bucket a day per person per day
5- health care including primary (immunisation etc) secondary (malaria treatment etc), tertiary (big things like heart repalcement)
6- education: primary and secondary. Universityhuh na you sabi
7- motorable road etc

Now, if you're husband is employed and the wife is a home-maker, your husband by law has to provide for you as he claims family tax bracket etc

Nigerians have to start demanding from their government otherwise there will be so much money available to the government to loothuh
You hear governor "stealing" abi taking so many millions in $ and you wonder whether the thing is real money or paper printed somewhere in lagos.
That is the money we are talking about.

Instead of you to tar/repair the road, go to channels TV or any reputable TV station and pay them to interview people and put it out there on how much you guys are suffering.
otherwise, just take pictures and paste them here on NAIRALAND for FREE or FACEBOOK ETC ETC!!!!

Sorry if I'm talking too much but please, let's make our government work for us.
The government of the people FOR the people BY the peoplehuh
It is your money they're budgeting and spending!!! abihuh?
All this na theory , we re talking practical.

As for the husband matter, na example I dey give. Read am again u go get my point.

You must have seen different options, but I recommend LG LA6210 42-Inch Cinema 3D Smart LED

What you stand to get:
1. Value for money
2. You also enjoy 3D viewing using your 3D lenses (with this, you don't have to waste your money in cinemas).
3. Magic remote: it works like your computer mouse with on screen pointers, icons and scroll button. Remote is stylish, simple & sexy with lesser buttons (less than 10).
4. Smart sharing/viewing: with this, you can watch live youtube videos, browse the web, share data with your phone via wifi, usb, HDMI, etc
5. IPS panel: crystal clear videos, no blur, has a wide viewing angle
6. It's an LG product: best TV manufacturing company in the world (my personal rating)
7. Cost is N159,000

http://www./lg-la6210-42-inch-cinema-3d-smart-led-tv-76313.html

But you can get a 32 inch version with the same feature at the cost of N78,000 - N80,000 Brand Name: LG 32 inch Cinema 3D smart TV LA6200.

Or

a similar version with all features (without 3D). Brand name: LG 32 inch smart TV LN570B - TB at the sum of N66,000 - N70,000.

Or

State your budget for more recommendations. NB: you can still get decent 32 inches @ < N40,000

Fridge,
I dunno much about this, but if your budget is (very) huge, there are some (intimidating) refridgerators cheesy like the LG Refrigerator 237 JSYN | Linear Compressor

Price na N449,500 cheesy

http:///lg-refrigerator-237-jsyn-linear-compressor-968802
Ok I shud have explained.

I need a good tv and fridge freezer for my 80yr old mum.

My exact point!!!

Yes, do your stuff but make sure you get it back another way from the same government and that is TAX!
Does dis apply to average person like self employed or regular employees?

I can understand the big shots in the society knowing how navigate d system but not the average man.
Politics › Re: Why Cant Nigerians Resort To Self Help? by bebe2(op): 4:27pm On Oct 06, 2014

It's government responsibility to do those stuff and government (federal, state & local) have a lot of money!

When you do those jobs just like that, someone in government has claimed it!
Trust me.
When you do the same job through charity then you can claim.

If you have a company or you're civil servant then you must be paying tax in Nigeria!
Ok , so for how long shall we wait do d govt.

According to this ur theory if my husband no give me money for food , me and my kids shud happily starve to death?

Not a good idea to just do government job directly without impact on government budget as that encourages corruption.

Government is NOT brokehuh

Get your tax back and next time government will do the job!!!
which tax?

Not a good idea and should NOT be encouraged!!!

If your community is badly in need of government's presence and government continues to be absent then do it the proper way:
1- government is not broke!
2- set up a charity towards your community needs
3- pay your contributions to the charity and keep evidence
4- the charity will do the work
5- recoup your contributions to the charity from tax deduction

Therefore, instead of paying tax to an absent government you rather pay yourselves and "govern " yourselves!
Perfectly legal!
Hmmmmhuh

I thought u said not a good idea.
