this is because adsense only records pages that display their ads. At times when a page finished loading, it may not display adsense ads, so adsense stats will not count it as page views. In essence, they only record page views that displays that ads which is different from what your blog stats is showing

insert the code on your blog and wait for the next stage to see if they will fully approve your blog

they have given you a reason for disapproval. Work on it. You need to make sure that your post contains more text write up with few images and work on the navigation of your blog

So, is e-book writing and selling really necessary or important if a blogger wants to make money through writing? Or is ads and other methods better?

you can't be able to add the domain to your wordpress for free. They will charge you. On like blogger, you can add it free and also blogger is widely used. Wordpress is mostly used if you are self hosting it yourself, not the free hosted version
