that is the scam. the transport fee is the scam. so imagine sending same to thousands of people. giveaway is the latest scam because most people would feel, after all I did not buy anything. just want to send transport cost

those who got the message, have you asked yourself one question . "did you order for any package from them before receiving the SMS" . if no, then only gullible and greedy person will Fall for the scam.

you just received a message saying you should pickup your package, because its iphone. you are eager to pay even when you did not order anything from them.

they know you don't reside in kebi, so they use that to lure you since they know you won't want to waste time travelling for such. that is the trick.

they also send to those in abuja to come to Lagos to pickup audio package. this is 2020, shine your eye's

you mean logged into the site or just visiting the site.

login is different from just visiting. so you have to be specific. those things won't show up if you are just visiting the site. it will only show up once you are logged in.

better still, what is the site URL so I can check to confirm what you mean

do you see it when you are logged into your site as admin or its there when you visit the site as a visitor.

at least we can start from there because as an admin, if logged into your site, stuffs like that will be displayed as part of the options to click to perform tasks without going through WordPress dashboard and it is normal.

you won't get free com domain name. your best bet is freenom domains which is free.v

although i am not a programmer but it all depends on what you want to major at. either web development, desktop application, mobile applications etc. this will determine what to start with. for web development, you cab Start with JavaScript, node.js, php if you want to use WordPress and other cms, laraval framework.

as for desktop app, you can learn c#, java, python etc.

I have gone to the bank and they said there is nothing they can do about it.
I don't even see the option of paying through payu.
It's very frustrating.

try and use Facebook business ads manager and use naira currency. payu is the option for naira payment.

I support your suggestions porn spammers should be IP ban that is get the technology or software that will identify each account holder IP and then ban porn violators and other related abuser of the site.

Using the report option does not really work much.

The porn spammers keep repeating the same offences every now and then.

if the person posting such is using Nigerian mobile network then it won't work because millions of Nigerians shares same IP . so if they ban it, it means you in particular may not be able to access nairaland if the same IP is shared to you when connected with mobile network

God bless you for this contribution. I suggested same thing around 3 years ago, i even mentioned the owner of this forum to make sure he sees it but no they throw away face and now they're looking for who will be reporting those guys.
Someone caution me then that i should stop giving advise since the mod/admin of this site want traffic hence anyone is permitted to do anything.

IP ban will be difficult because millions of Nigerians shares same IP from various mobile network. banning one IP would mean banning millions of Nigerians from accessing the site. the same IP you use to access nairaland is being shared with another person. so if they ban your IP, they automatically ban the person sharing the IP with you. so it won't work.

It's 2020 for bloody sake, what's the use of reporting them when they can easily make another one due to NL's poor technicalities.

IP ban in Nigerian forum where most of Nigerians shares IP address from mobile networks. if they ban one IP, this would mean banning lots of Nigerians from accessing the site because thousands of Nigerians share same IP.

you have not told me what error you get when you try to load the Facebook account with your naira card. I use my bank card to load via payu

I believe they did that to educate their citizens that are travelling to Nigeria so they will get to know how things are being done here. this way they can prepare for the unexpected.

Thanks all for your contributions. the issue has been resolved and my money reversed. They mistakenly gave my ATM to someone else, who has the same name and surname with me.

wow, this is really a terrible mistake and negligence from the bank because the account number should differentiate both accounts even with same name.

negligence at its peak. I believe the customer service personnel who made the mistake may be in soup if not sacked.

lots of people moved to WordPress due to the simplicity with plugins to make things easier for them and also control.

later some people wish they never moved when they started seeing how expensive it is to maintain WordPress blog as it grows with bandwidth and storage limitations without earning enough to support it.

you can use road side mobile money agents like paga,quick teller, opay etc if you want to help and stay under the radar.

the issue is not about legit sites, its about putting effort. like you've mentioned, fiverr, upwork etc are legit but how many people wants to put effort on earning from those sites. they quit even before starting.

all those micro task sites with water mouth referral earnings are mostly scam. so try and search YouTube for ways to earn online

you can simply screenshot the page and then send it via email to request for the details or better still, print it and take it to aceess bank close to you to fill it which you can then use the details on your AdSense

lots of scrappers has been upgraded . they don't need feeds to scrape anymore. there is nothing he can do except he knows how to code scripts that can stop it .

although if the person scrapping the site is using feed, then he can use your suggestions

although there lots of sticky plugin in WordPress repository which you can try . you might get ban for it though because AdSense don't allow for normal users
