Please why straining real hard to poo? Has she been eating heavy food without taking enough water ni? Let her be on bed rest as the doctor said and take lot of fluids too so as to avoid "poo stress" too. I don't know why your doctor suggested 2wks b4 scan is done but I could remember when I spotted at 7weeks, I was asked to do scan the next day. Don't worry,the God that did it won't put you to shame. She will carry to term in Jesus name. Amen

My dear that's how mine was too. Yours is even better because u can still tolerate some food. I couldn't eat anything. Everything I ate was by force. I have a sweet tooth and I'm also a baker and throughout this pregnancy I could not stand anything sweet until just recently. I'm still a little put off my cake and icing. Although these days I find myself craving milo. I have like a week to go before my due date and have been drinking milo in huge quantities. Don't despair ur appetite will gradually come back during ur second trimester. Imagine a foodie like me and in my first and early second trimester I had to set an alarm to remind myself to eat ( yea it was that bad).

Sayoberry, see another #team milo o. I dey envy you people but my baby no gree me drink am. The only thing I drink I can drink is water but if I wanna feel funky sometimes, I add small nutriC just to change the colour

Im not a doctor and I don't even know a cleaner in a hospital that's why I didn't even say anything on his health issues. But as for donations I can talk about that.

It's a general hospital but I can tell you I prefer the services there to the private hospital I first registered.

Does anyone here know of RANDLE GENERAL HOSPITAL SURULERE? They have their Mother and Child hospital separately on gbajabiamila street. All they do in the big hospital is treatment from antenatal to post natal. Good and very experienced doctors, clean and very conducive environment, sparkling clean labour ward and above all when the NMA went on strike,our doctors never went on strike. I can say since when I registered I made friends with a lot of people who are close to deliver and like 50people who I know that have given birth,none of them did CS.

NB: I'm not saying CS is bad o but some private hospital doctors aren't just patient enough to avoid CS even when there is no health challenge. Maybe because they want big money sha

Mama,you are 100% alright. First trimester and loss of appetite goes together with majority of pregnant women. Don't worry,it will change and you will soon be able to eat all those you mentioned and also nothing will happen to your baby. Just try and take your drugs daily. As for the lower abdomen too,all is fine. As your baby grows you feel more weight. So relax and enjoy yourself o jare.

Even if you notice anything,you could have contacted the TEHNs behind closed doors as you people have been communicating cos I remember I read someone made mention that they have been sending you the results or so. What happened to the email addy you have been using to communicate?

I don't know if you have anything against the organisers but what you said that really disgust me is " stop wasting donors money" and you had to write that in bold letters.

I can say of Four people I know that i dragged here to donate who are not even members of nairaland and I was shocked when one called to say " dey just dey waste the money given to them" and a screen shot of what you said was sent to me. I was shocked cos I never knew he was still following the thread. I tried to explain but he said for someone who communicates with TEHNs back door to come out and say this means they have been spending anyhow and you had no choice than to drum it into our ears "with capital letter"that donors money is been wasted. TELL ME EVEN IF DJDOLA HAVE TO GO TO INDIA, HOW DO I CONVINCE HIM TO DONATE AGAIN? Or how do I convince some other people who will come here to read first before donating?

Dearie, not everyone have the patient to read and read and dealing with this kind of case where people "donate money to someone they don't know to support someone they don't know" and when they read of any mistake,alot of them will back off. So please, try and correct that.


I just can't imagine how DJDOLA will feel now regarding all the health issues with big names flying up and down just because we want people to know we know more.

Morning everyone, please I ve been visiting the toilet(to poo) too frequent since yesterday night. Me no cum understand am again. From 10pm-7am this morning I ve gone to the toilet 4times. I would have said it's what I ate but it was garri and groundnut that I drank before going to bed. I'm 34weeks and I beg anyone who knows what may cause this at this stage to please explain more to me. Please!

What drug can I use for my wife? She is 34 week and two weeks ago she started complaining of pain on her right leg especially the lap area..its getting more severe. What can we use

My brother,she isn't the only one involved. I'm also 34 weeks and I ve been feeling pain on the lap areq since week 24. The worst thing is the pain keep moving from right leg to left leg weekly. Atimes I use to think the lap wants to detach from my body. At 28th week, I started having pain in the pubic area and I was afraid that I had to run to the hospital. I took 3k cab and after seeing the doctor I was asked to take paracetamol 20naira and move my mind away from it because all is fine. So please tell wiffy that all is fine. She should just take paracetamol and most importantly accept that it's part of the baggage. Around this time, last week I was lamenting on being tired of the whole thing but my lovely people here encouraged me. We are almost there. May God make the remaining few weeks easy for us. Amen.

My dear, no be only you oo. The sweat own is the must surprising, within minutes of power failure am already drenched in sweat, even if I sleep with light o, I still wake up wit soaked pillows. Aas for the spitting sha, na only u get that one oo *tongue out* cos by His grace I haven't spat sinx I got pregnant. Evry tin will be fine by His grace, I feel my baby kick my navel always, ND I smile in satisfaction. All in all, I still can't wait to hold my LO in my arms. We are almost there babes...jst hang on a bit! #team January rocks# *winks*

You should still be happy you can lie on your back because I can't do that cos I'm still spitting and if I do,na cough go wake me as the saliva go pass wrong way. Just relax yourself as your Dh said and before you know it,January don come.

Good evening my wonderful mamas. Sorry av been mia. Lost my fon n just got a new one 2day. Another sorry my birth story is coming late.
I delivered on monday 17th nov heres my birth story. I started having little contraction on n off since thurs. It got more painful on friday. At night my mun advised I go 2 d hospital to b checked if I was in labor(been having false labor fr days) n hw far i had gone. The nurse checked me n said i was 2cm dilated. I went back home n managed till in d morning. The contracrions reduced in d morning.went for walks in d morning, n night of sat. I could nt sleep all tru sat nite. By sunday morning around 10am,I called a neighbor dats a nurse to check me coz i didnt want 2go 2 d hospital til i was like 5-6cm.she said I was still 2cm. The contractions were getting more painful but I didnt understand d intervals. At around 1pm, she checked again n said I was stil 2cm.from dat time I sensed I was in trouble coz I new I wasnt progressing. By 6pm I couldnt hold it again n left fr d hospital. At d hospital the nurse checked n said I was 3cm but dat she made me get to 4cm (dont understand wat she meant). I didnt even go 2 my bed I went downstairs n was managing 2walk around. Wen dcontraction comes, I wil stop n den continue. By 10.30pm, another nurse checked n said I was stil 4cm. I got worried n even cried coz I couldnt imagine moving frm 2cm-to just 4cm since morning.dey checked my bp n said it was 200/130. Another dr checked again n said it had dropped to 180/120. They called the medical director n she said dey should giv me an injection (magnesium somtin..).she said if I dont deliver by 5am, I wil av go for d option of cs. My mum, dh n i didnt sleep fr al tru. I was in great pain. At about 4am, I started tellin my mum dat am about 2 die. I knew I just wouldn't make it. By 5am, I was checked n was just 5cm. D dr came n checked d heart beat of d baby n said I should just accept d cs. Dh agreed immediately but my mum felt I should stil b given more time. I begged her in tears 2 accept it n wish me success in d operation. I cried so much as I was been prepared fr d theatre. I weeped coz tot of al I had gone 2 n stil ending up cs.At about 6.30am, I taken 2 d theatre. I watched how busy dey were n asked dem id dey had started operating me n dey said dey wil start in 5mins. Like 3secs afta my question I just heard d cry of my baby. I cried more at d site of my baby. He weighed 3.85kg.Sorry fr d very long birthstory.

I don't have much strength right now but I have no choice than to tell you what I'm about to say.

This is my first too my colleague and I'm in my 33rd weeks, but I took my time to read and learn a lot from here. I also registered on babycentre.com and whattoexpect.com so I get daily and weekly information there about my stage,what to do and what not to do.
I can see you are so happy and can't wait to hold your bundle of joy in your arms but I will advise you to relax yourself very well. First trimester =delicate stage.
I remember I was all over the place during my own time too blushing around not knowing I was endangering the baby's life. It dawned on me when I started seeing little clot of blood and the doctor told me it's 50/50 chance of survival for the baby because I was giving myself too much trouble. Omo, no one told me to relax o. It was the period of world cup and I was advised against watching it because the tension was too much. On my own I avoided some movies that made me breathe fast sef.
You still have over 30 weeks to go and that's a very very long time if I may say. RELAX yourself dearie and I pray we all put to term in Jesus name.

NB : I'm not saying all this to scare you hut to remind you how delicate a pregnant woman can be.
