PoliticsBuhari’s Opponents Out To Loot Nigeria Again – Fayemi by beegodson(op): 12:05pm On Dec 12, 2018
Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi has said those opposed to the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari are eyeing the nation’s resources which they intend to loot.

Fayemi said Nigerians should ignore the people he described as enemies of the country and cast their votes for Buhari, who he said would continue to work for the development of the country and liberation of the masses.

The governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, spoke in Ado Ekiti, the state capital on Tuesday while receiving members of the Ekiti State Private Sectors Union who are drumming support for Buhari’s re-election.

“Those who are against Buhari’s re-election are the enemies of the country who want to continue to loot the nation’s economy after their 16-year rule,” he claimed.

While appreciating their support for the President, Fayemi assured members of the union that they would be allowed participation in governance in the state.

He said there would be no development when the private sector was paralysed.

The union’s chairman, Mr Gbenga Abiodun, said they embarked on the rally for Buhari because of the President’s fight against corruption, which he said had blocked leakages in all sectors of the economy.

Abiodun urged people of the state to re-elect Buhari “so that the state could benefit from the laudable programmes of the Federal Government such as the extension of the proposed rail project to Ekiti which will in no small measure boost the economy of the state when completed”.

He also identified the government’s Social Investment Programmes and the rehabilitation of Akure-Ado Ekiti-Ikare Road among other programmes which the state would gain from Buhari’s second term.

“We are requesting more federal presence in terms of loan/grant for the private sectors union, infrastructural development, tourism, agriculture and more dividends of democracy and more importantly refund of the funds expended on federal roads in Ekiti State.

“We are assuring President Buhari of his re-election into office in 2019 and we are pledging our support for the project,” he said.
PoliticsRe: Abacha Loot: Buhari Thanks Swiss Govt For Returning $322.5m by beegodson: 11:40am On Dec 12, 2018
it's only in the PMB Administration that things like this happen and are made public. Trust me under the PDP's one will not even hear of the Swiss' return of the loot let alone thanking them.
Every will be done in secret and they will fill their accounts with these loots and acquire properties with this money and the rest will be history.
Good job PMB!
PoliticsRe: Fighting Corruption Not An Economic Policy; Peter Obi To Buhari by beegodson: 11:25am On Dec 12, 2018
can you just imagine the statement coming from Peter Obi?... He has just proved what he would do if elected; if he claims this is not an economic policy, then Peter and Atiku's job will be to loot monies and make corruption the theme of 2019!
Nigerians beware, these people are showing their true selves; we cannot have these type of people leading us, when a government doesn't tackle corruption which is the major problem of this country, then he wishes to take sides with corruption and leave the people in suffering.
Vote PMB who's on the side of fighting this plague "corruption", for a better Nigeria.

Reno, I bet you are wiser than juxtaposing politics with Religion or a person's position in his Religion, you saying that Pastor should strip him off his position in the church is rather childish and immature and laying accusations against another is evil. if you judge another; remember you are not a saint and your hate for another person will certainly not earn you favoritism.

When you had the power to make a change in this country what did you do?... absolutely nothing!
You proved to Nigerians that you didnt care about the masses, all you thought about is yourself, greed and corruption was at its peak, we certainly do not want this to repeat itself.
We have had it with your empty promises.

PoliticsFight Against Corruption Yet To Attain Desired Level — Buhari by beegodson(op): 12:45pm On Dec 06, 2018
President Muhammadu Buhari has said the fight against corruption in Nigeria was yet to attain the desired level being sought by government. President Buhari Speaking at the Conference of Auditors-General in Nigeria in Abuja, Tuesday, Buhari, who was represented by Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs.Winifred Oyo-Ita, also tasked auditors-general in the country to contribute their quota to the task of enthroning transparency and accountability in the public sector so as to deepen the fight against corruption. Buhari, the son of Abraham and the children of Yahweh He said: “At the inception of this administration, three cardinal goals were set: these are security, fight against corruption and revamping of the economy. Three and the half years down the life of this administration, I am pleased to report that tremendous achievement has been recorded in all three areas. I will say, however, that the desired level in the fight against corruption is yet to be attained. “Despite this continued effort on the part of government, gaps still remain to be closed, especially in the area of external auditing.” Buhari said since inception, the current administration had introduced several initiatives, especially in the financial and management sector, aimed at stemming the tide of corruption. Some of these initiatives, he said, include Treasury Single Account, TSA, which had tremendously reduced leakages in the system, as well as the Presidential Initiative on Continuous Audit, PICA. He said: “PICA has the mandate to validate controls, assess risk, probe a small cost, ensure compliance with public financial management refunds, detect errors and make recommendations to management for necessary actions. “Recently, I approve several sweeping reforms in the public finance sector so as to further reduce waste and drive up revenue. ‘’These reforms include performance monitoring that will set financial indicators and targets for revenue generation for government owned enterprises; new measures for expenditure controls, budgeting and financial reporting requirement.”

PoliticsRe: Cloning: Nigerians Angry As Foreign Media Mock President Buhari. See Reactions by beegodson: 12:08pm On Dec 06, 2018
Surprisingly, Nigerians are the cause of all these insults by other countries. We know President Buhari is not a clone of some jibrin. but Nigerians decided to take the cloning matter to another level... We made a mockery of our own President by ourselves.. The Other country only helped escalate what was already in the news...
Nigerians this is the time for us to support our own, but we tend to bash and fake-speech about the Government, only if we can learn from our mistakes, we would not be used as a laughing stock of other countries.
President Buhari is no clone.... he is alive..alive in flesh and blood.. Stop giving other countries room to make this a joke.
PoliticsRe: I Will Retire Buhari And Atiku Obey Ezekwesili by beegodson: 2:47pm On Dec 05, 2018
Madam Oby, I like your courage but please leave that little dream world of yours and come back to the reality, you do realize you are no match for PMB, the way you are hungry for power sometimes makes one doubt you'd ever do any of these things you made mention of.
Its not an easy task being a President- not of an association or group, but a whole country.
This country is better off with PMB as President, than the way it was 16 years ago!

He has been carrying himself as a saint, he should come out and answer these questions..
If ewe elect someone like Atiku into the Presidential seat, we won't have a transparent government, it will be full of corrupt minds.
Nigerians let's vote a Government that detests corruption.. that wants to see to the end of corruption in this country.

Nigerians be wise... don't be deceived...don't be distracted....don't let these wailers and hate speeches take your mind away from the goal...
PMB has addressed this issue of cloning....if there's an actual cloning I believe the UK intelligence and US intelligence would know about it and the news would have been out there with proof.
All these empty talks are obviously without facts and evidence and certainly hold no waters!

I believe Oyedepo wasn't thinking when he made those comments on President Buhari. I wonder who the men of God are these days?.. As a man of God you are to supposed to preach love and pray for your fellow man/President..rather than wish him dead or make hate speeches, God said love your neighbor as you love yourself....but i think Oyedepo has hate in his heart for PMB, because if he did, he would not have thought to make this type of statement...
Mr President is still very much alive, in flesh and in spirit.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Warns Against Politics Of Hate, Violence by beegodson: 11:16am On Dec 03, 2018
Honestly, hate speeches and bashing of the Government whether on media or physical is not the best way to go, only a right thinking Government will not support the violence and hate..
PMB is right here, these days people use Social media to infringe or injure the character of a person.. this is wrong. Two wrongs certainly don't make right.. People should be more on the positive side, encourage, or advice or give solutions to a problem rather than insult; or result to violence.
I totally agree with PMB on this one, people should desist from hate speeches and Violence to make Nigeria better.

Let's be realistic here, Nnamdi Kanu you have your issues to take care of, stop spreading Lies and Rumor to cover up.
I believe PMB has addressed the issue of the alleged "cloning". We have better things ahead of us come 2019, spreading lies on cloning is appalling.

PoliticsWe’re Returning Nigeria’s Cotton Industry To ‘good Old Days’ – Buhari by beegodson(op): 3:57pm On Nov 12, 2018
President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday pledged the commitment of his administration to reviving the ‘good old days’ when the cotton and textile industry employed hundreds of thousands of Nigerians.

The president stated this when he received the Chief Executive Officer of Vlisco Group, David Suddens, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Friday.

President Buhari welcomed the proposed investment of $200 million by the company in Nigeria, which would, in turn, create 700,000 jobs.

”I am very much aware of your company’s effort especially your investments in the textile industry, and it is one area that we are trying to develop because it will create employment and boost agriculture.

”To get cotton to grow again in the country is like going back to the good old days when the textile industry used to employ hundreds of thousands of people.

”I am very excited about the prospects of reviving the industry because it will keep farmers busy, create employment which brings more security, help the economy, transfer of technology and of course we have a large market to absorb the products,” he said.

He reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to forging a stronger economic partnership with the Netherlands, assuring the Dutch investor that the Nigerian authorities would continue to do the utmost to keep smugglers at bay at borders.

In his remarks, Mr Suddens told the president that the 172-year-old company plans to use cotton grown in Nigeria for production.

He said: ”I want a new strategy that brings Vlisco manufacturing to Nigeria. I want to change the supply chain from Asia to Nigeria.

”For the total supply chain for cotton, textile and garment industry from weaving, spinning, printing to retail, we want to use Nigeria cotton and we have already started to encourage the creative industries in the country to find a voice and give them a platform across the world.

”I am convinced that it is time for the textile industry to move from Asia to Africa.’’

Also speaking, the Dutch Ambassador to Nigeria, Robert Petri, told President Buhari that the company’s visit was a follow-up to his successful visit to the Netherlands in July, during which he met with chief executive officers of Dutch companies.

”Also during that visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between our two countries seeking more intensified cooperation. After that visit, there were more successive visits by top Dutch officials to Nigeria.

”This shows that we are seriously committed to furthering our collaboration,” Mr Petri said.

This is really a commendable development, truth be told some of us criticizing this government have one or more persons as family who have gained from this payment.. The previous government could not do anything as regards this payments leaving the beneficiaries in the dark for such a long time. Now that we have a government of change.. we are seeing positive changes.
This is a positive development by the PMB administration.
PMB deserves accolades for this.,he has put smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries like it or not.

I do not see anything wrong with the Federal government promoting Intra-African Trades, I don't even know why Nigerians are so bitter about this, this is rather a positive development for the growth and development of this country, and yet some people are finding faults; sometimes the problems of a country is not the government but the people in it.
This will bring about a good bond between Nigeria and other African countries in terms of business etc.
I commend this development by the FG.
