Since there has been losses, why cant the Fund Managers (for equity) sell the shares they bought earlier so as to preserve our capital/profits.

Cos it is so foolish for them not to.

I smell a foul play here. (stealing our funds) claiming its the stock market.

They intentionally keep withdrawing our funds, and claim they registered losses.

They claim to be professional fund managers with many years of experience. Will i call them foolish or fraudsters?

Prospects for a return to bullishness are looking good technically for Zenith and Wema Bank. Both have hit a strong support, which should hold. Watch out from this point, for high volume upticks with marked price appreciation that could point to positive insider peep into good results.
Both Wema and Zenith has not reached support yet, it's fake break out about to happen.

I plan on putting 1 million into btc
Don't yet.

Let's BTC find a strong support first. When it does, a new rally will likely begin, then I would recommend you enter, but then it will be only when whales and smart money like Saylor and Blackrock are entering.

The strategy is simple, buy strength and sell weakness but right now, the market is weak.
InvestmentRe: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by Beeron: 7:10am On Jun 30
Update to BTC

The market is still weak at the moment, No activity of whale or smart money at all.

I don't buy just "any dip". I've always maintained that WAPCO , MTN n NAHCO are my favorite stocks to buy... Let's even say the dip goes deeper, they all have good fundamentals plus they're all dividend paying stocks... So buying them at current prices even if further dips are experienced isn't such a big deal... Patapata we go use dividend take hold body till they go back to being green (which I believe they would). As for my reason for buying Dangsugar at 63.50, it's basically 3.50 above the right issue price... Target now is to buy at below 63.50 or close to the right issue price (or even below RI grin. Anything is possible)... My strategy has always been staggering my bids so I don't wait too long and end up missing out on opportunities
I knew you had a personal strategy for doing what you do because the way you derive joy buying eehh. I swear. It's so motivating.

Good thing you are strategic in your own way you understand, carry on ma'am.

I don kuku liquidate another set of FI. Na me and WAPCO tomorrow. #buythedip. Unrealized gain in TIP is what is keeping my portfolio afloat grin
The way you buy the dip with happiness and glee, it makes me admire your courage.

I saw somewhere where you bought DANGSUGAR, I shook my head because, you need to buy more dip.

Now you talking of more dips to buy without being strategic to know if those stocks have found support.

If you follow only discounted price to buy dips, you will keep buying dips so much so that, you will be the one giving people wanting to dump the stock a life line.

Dangote refinery IPO will deal with this market. I have sold some stocks to reserve money fo the IPO
You selling stock to reserve money for Dangote IPO is like selling a land after years of accumulated value just to take the money to Bet Naija shop to place odds on Bets.

Have you asked yourself. What if after the buying hype fades and valuation didn't hold up?

That means your money will be trapped due to FOMO.

How Spacex turned out should have given you a clue.

I wonder if NVIDIA still has room to run. It’s not like it will suddenly become a $10t and give 2x. Thinking of switching to Micron
Tech/Semiconductors stocks closed last week weak, even white house had to tell OpenAI not to release their new chapgtp update.

Nvidia is currently looking for support for new rally while Micron is currently running away with hype as smart investors are slowly dumping on retailers.

Fundamental is good but technically, It will be the worst time ever to buy Micron, but you can wait for a pull back but if you already have Nvidia, plan to avearge down once it reaches new support level.

I find these contrasting views somehow interesting. But I usually prefer grounding my analysis in concrete numbers.

For instance, suppose Nestle traded at #200 in 2006 and stands at #1,300 in 2026. A #50 million investment made in 2006 would today be worth approximately #325 million (ignoring dividends and bonus issues). That represents a 550% total return, or roughly 9.81% per annum compounded.

By comparison, a MMF delivering a steady effective annual return of 11% over the same 20-year period would have grown the same #50 million into about #403 million…that’s a 706% total return.

So viewing it from the capital appreciation lens alone, a solid MMF will usually outperform an average stock over long periods. Equities’ real edge comes from dividends, especially when reinvested. But these are purely based on management discretions which makes your returns more uncertain….

At the end of the day, the route taken doesn’t matter. The destination is the real deal. Just ensure you don’t build wealth on assumptions, regardless of the path you choose.
you said "By comparison, a MMF delivering a steady effective annual return of 11% over the same 20-year period would have grown the same #50 million into about #403 million…that’s a 706% total return."

This is where your analysis broke down because, Can you even trust that MMF will remain steady at 11% for 2 decades without getting lesser returns, and I know It will swing up past 11% in some years too but this rate isn't steady like it's cracked out to be.

2 decades in typically enough for at least 2 macros economy circles in a country, so running your maths on a steady 11% returns over 20 years is greatly flawn and doesn't hold water at all.

Comparing it to Equities investment is abysmally redundant. I refuse to do such comparison with you, a better comparison should have been long term government BOND.

Just one good large cap company in the stock market with good capex and good dividend paying history will shatter the dream returns of MMF long term.

AncestralPowers:
Well said, many people are underestimating the power of long term MMF investment, if you have huge funds in money market fund, with patience and monthly or quarterly compounding, you are definitely going to do well as the best performing stocks/equities out there...
Sir, you forgot to factor in monthly quarters and years when the economy will improve, inflation gets under control, MPR gets cut and the government no longer needs much of investors money, as a result, MMF rates will dip drastically below the double digits interest we see now.

You also forgot to factor in banks lack of need for investors extra cash when CBN improves on banks C.R.R (cash reserve ratio) and CBN loosen it's tight policy on "Standing facility corridor".

When you consider those two alone, you will realize that, you only having this conversation now because Nigeria macros is temporary bad but it will not remain like this forever for MMF to keep earning double digits daily interest. It's only a matter of time.

Enjoy what you can get now.

Vfd group or Japaul? Which should i load more?
you should study those two companies fundamentals to make a long term investment decision however if you looking to take a swing trade. By my technical analysis, Expect Japaul to dip even further as there is still volume of money left from May rally, lots of investors thought, it was a slight dip for Japaul and that it will recover, sadly we lost japaul to the deeper dip last week Wednesday after it was hit by ASI weakness, may his soul rest in peace.

Vfd group was actually on the path of recovery but the collapse of ASI and the lingering fear in the market is holding it back and it's now consolidating. Same consolidation that struck Sterling bank and Jaizbank for weeks is happening to vdf group now.

Please, I kindly seek your advice – should I sell my Aradel shares? Honestly, I am at a loss as to what to do.

My average price is below ₦800, and my P&L is over 147%.

Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Disregard that loss, it's called paper loss. As long as you are not needing that money invested to feed. Close your investment app for now and go attend to other life issues.

I am strongly against buying the dip for now except you have enough cash to spare. But even if you do have the cash — by my calculation, Aradel will still go down further so hold on and only buy the dip on recovery otherwise, you will keep buying the dip and the dip will keep dipping.

I can help you figure out the recovery phase.

But to keep things simple, just hold on because Aradel business isn't dead yet.

Newton's First Law of Motion – an object remains at rest or in uniform motion unless acted upon by an external force. (uninvested money)

Newton's Second Law of Motion – F = ma (force equals mass × acceleration). (Huge money invested equals huge returns)

Newton's Third Law of Motion – for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. (When the stock market goes up, it comes down to correct, regardless it was invested in CSFO)

There's something they're doing right.
Equity is great with Cardinalstone.
That's because, CS doesn't invest 100% fund into Equity, they also hold some high yield old bond but not heavy on it, that's why you get that peanut payment during the weekend.

There's no ripple effect anywhere.
There's imbalance in the charts, btc needs to touch 40k, 35k so as to balance out the charts.

If it goes to 120k from here, then the chart is balanced, and when the chart's balanced, you can't make profit.

Anyways, if you were using 100x leverages, then by all means, follow this relief pump up for 1-2% profit but to expect 10% up from here is prime delulu.

At least 1% of a 100,000k prop firm is about 700$ after profit split but I look at the chart from the eyes of a swing trader.

I don't have time like I used to to stay on the charts anymore so 59k can go to 61k before it goes to 56k, then 56k to 59k, then 59k down to 52k, like that like that.
please next time, speak English
