@Beeron or anyone else with stock knowledge.
If my entry prices for nascon, ngx and Unilever is 113, 82 and 84 naira respectively. Having missed the all time high, does it still make sense to sell now or hold for another bull run?

I sold my TIP on Monday, now it's looking like I sold prematurely 😁😁.

Thanks.

Your kind advice boss should I sell all equity and hold until the market is better?

Secondly this talk of dividend for equity investors like us how true?

If true when do dey usually distribute the dividend.

For someone that joined equity early March this year will I be eligible for the dividend?

Sorry for all this questions because I only started equity this year March.
First question, No, you don't need to sell, infact watch out for when you see your fund start going up again, then you top up. Equity is a long term investment for those who has the patience of Vladimir Putin.

Second question — Yes, you are eligible for dividend the moment you bought into the NAV of your fund manager (either Zedcrest, CS or paramount), now the dividend is usually reinvested into the Equity fund. If you want dividend pay out type investment, hold dividend paying stock.

In summary, it really doesn't matter when you entered Equity fund, you will get dividend (to be reinvested) but you need the patience of Vladimir Putin to enable your investment compound through the circle of bull and bear seasons.

If you can exercise such patience, in the end, it will seem like your money grows like grass.

So a practical case study question for you bro, I haven't seen the ASI chart so I don't know how far into over sold territory we are or how far down we need to go from the technicals ...but what impact do you think the fundamental news of the Dangote IPO would have on the charts as we approach it's launch ? Do you feel T.A. will run it's course either way or we will experience a market reversal due to fresh liquidity courtesy of the IPO before the dip gets any dipper?
For a start, ASI wouldn't go down like in a way of crash, Naaah, this is basically just correction going on, a twist of fate can happen tomorrow whereby if institutional money enter ZENITH, GTCO and MTN tomorrow, that same tomorrow, ASI might as well gain full strength for another bull run, so it's really a case of bubble, no one wants to be at the receiving end catching the falling knife that's why a correction is happening now. So, the answer is NO! sometimes, ASI doesn't run its full course because it human trading with emotion.

Equity fund managers know how to manage this risk that's why they don't invest all funds into stocks, some keep cash to buy the dip while some invest in fixed income to cushion the loss, so all an investor will do is wait. Only stocks traders can change their destiny by making quick decisions. That's that.

Secondly, the DANGOTE refinery IPO listing is gaining so much buzz and frenzy that I don't even feel attracted to it at all. And to answer your question, it's just hype, it has nothing to do with the market for now until the listing finally comes to the market.

in essence for every 60-80% green 🍏 expect a 20-40% pullback for the market to course correct before going on another run ..this should be the equity long term investor perspective ...when I figured this out, I gave my self peace and stopped trying to figure out how to stop Yakubu from wiping my gains short term...if it was trading you were doing ,then you can apply a stop loss to your set up or set up your exit if your modest in T.A. so you cash out before a trade hits the reversal. ( berom this isn't replying to you but the other bro looking for how to bail out smiley )
I get your point and I know it's intended for the other brother.

The thing is Equity fund usually don't have stop loss, that's stock trading prerequisite.

And secondly, the thing with loss is, not everyone know how to manage their emotion, while some can manage their emotion but, they still just don't know how Equity fund works.

Whether you are a beginner investor or a pro, only one thing is expected of you and that's patience.

So na to withdraw or hold.. cos I can't keep watchin my portfolio reduce..
Zedcrest n paramount n Cs beware.
lol, don't get scared. That's why it's called investment. Every loss is a paper loss until you withdraw your money to physical cash.

ASI ran up too high and too fast, so it only trying to correct itself before things gets back to normal.

The market operate in a zig zag pattern and that's how money is made.

I'm actually beginning to fancy technical analysis due to how it can better guide entry and exit point compared to FA truth be told. But fundamental analysis to me is very important in any stock picking

I followed the argument btw TA, FA and Street Analysis 🤣 on the other Group chat and there were lots of good point for one to learn in improving his/her portfolio
In my opinion about TA and FA debate. TA wins 70% of the time?

Why?

The simple truth is regardless of how solid the FA is, right; the market is still a bubble at the end of the day, even the economy is a bubble in itself, the struggle of not making that bubble burst is why government issues Tbill, Bond and OMO and buy them back. Now the day government fails to pay back or buy back, the bubble will burst, MMF will fail, bond will fail, Tbills will fail, omo will fail. Economy collapse.

Same with trading stocks using FA — again — No matter how solid FA is, the players in the market will ensure a bubble build because if a bubble don't build no one will take profit and no one will buy the stock in the first place. That's why TA comes in.

Now with TA, I can calmly sit in front of my computer and see the irrational buyers, the rational buyer, the noise and the quietness in the market as well as the opportunity and when to enter and leave, even if I don't know what the company is manufacturing, the fact that I can tell the best time to buy thier stock, make money and dump it is such a powerful flex because, in the long run, you will beat the market, compound your money faster and avoid crash in the event that that bad news hit the company and everyone are dumping their stock.

TA wins any day but it's hard to master TA however, FA is out there in the open for easy accessibility but TA takes time and experience to learn and master. But once you have good grasp of it, even in your 70s and 80s, you will still be trading stocks and continue to beat the market, no retirement.

Trading has been my anchor in this current market situation. My only stock this yakubu season has reduced my profit is NGXGROUP. I entered at 130+, so I'm still fine with some little profit.

Status of my ngx as of 2da....will delete in a bit

This new market timing has changed a lot in the market dynamics to be honest from my perspective.

Great to know you have moved funds to foreign stocks. Once the Nigerian market wants to go into another bull ride back in very hard oo
You should have sold off NGXGroup since March 26th to avoid the catastrophic downtown.

It was at overbought level at that time, considering the low 30 day volume of that stock, you shouldn't have kept it for long.

Truth is, Fundamental analysis isn't enough sometimes and I have studied you well enough to know that, that's your weakness. Just learn a little of Technical analysis, I promise you will turn picking stocks to a day Job and it will be fun for you.

I only see Zenith, GTB and Stanbic as being reliable . The other banks to me are a gamble

I sold my fidelity already

Banks are just for dividend from my POV based on FA. If no dividend they don't worth it
This breaks my heart knowing Institutional investors are currently buying fidelity and will soon be dumping to retail investors. You shouldn't have sold.

My broker has a robo platform that buys the dip when my ETF moves away from its portfolio allocation. If I don't buy the dip, the robot will sell my units to raise cash and buy the dip. Furthermore, buying the dip in foreign market is quite good for me as I need more units in a cheaper price to meet my goal.
That's seem automated with limited control from your end. That's smart.

What you basically just explained is compounding and not trading. That's Warren Buffett's strategy.

Nice one.

Cheers, chief, am doing well at the moment. What are "FUGAZ" stocks? I think my risk level has advanced to stock trading. Tech stock has been bleeding for the past weeks and I've been buying the dip daily to average down and accumulate more units.
I keep stressing brooo, don't buy dips everyday blindly, resources are scarce. Please reach out to always know when to begin buying dips.

Secondly, FUGAZ are strong large cap bank stocks; the likes of Firstholdco, UBA, GTCO, Access, Zenith (FUGAZ)

CSblackpink:
How are you, bro? How is your trading going? I don comot Naija equity and am now fully into foreign stocks.
How is it going over there Chief?

Nice strategy moving your funds into foreign stocks but it might be worth having a second look into buying large cap Nigeria stocks and forgetting them till any year you decide to move back to Nigeria, if you ever have such plan to retire here. Even if you don't have such plan, you can still invest and get the reward in the future.

The reason is Nigeria is still an emerging market, most of our stocks are still under valued so if you buy and forget now, you essentially buying at a discount. If anything, just invest in the FUGAZ stocks and continue to invest abroad. You will be glad you did.

Fun facts: Foreign Stocks are tied around the News, corporate actions and the economy hence why it's fragile. But Nigeria stocks are built around the health of NIGERIA banks and Nigeria banks are the most regulated in the whole world.

I just hope you understand this tips I just gave.

Happy Investing out there Chief.

Be warned otherwise, you buy the dip and it will keep dipping.

For a man and want to sustain relationship to avoid boredom; Always get your woman to do something for you. If she declines, the process of you sweet talking her into doing that task or favour and when she eventually does it, will improves the bond in the relationship, women likes to be invested in something emotionally to commit so much interest into it full time, now the more you win over that interest along with her compounded effort of so much tasks and favours done. She would have no choice but to always go with the flow and not see boredom.

Boredom can't steal that (task and favour) part away easily due to emotional investment which people like to call sunk cost fallacy.

What I just explained is what bad boys do to innocent girls which makes these girls crave them, because these boys always push them to their limit to do the most bizarre things with them in the guise of task of favour— and for some reason, she feels fulfilled after doing it. It's the same logic that allows a cheating married woman easily gives up annal sex to her bad boy but turns down husband repeatedly romantic sex.

Same reason, Bonny and Clide were that close till the extent of robbing people and banks together.

Then for women, to cure relationship boredom — Do things with your man especially things he loves, like watching football etc; at the same time, always put yourself in position where other men will desire you or seek you, dress to excite him, take care of yourself like you still in the dating market activity seeking a man, intantly the value of your stock shares held by your man will instantly go up in value, boredom will evaporate. but if all these fails then the next thing is to:
the best thing to do is to walk away
This is plagiarism and lack of originality.

This was my response in another thread you copied and pasted here word for word. (Below is the screenshot proof)

Well, I am flattered that my comment was deemed so good to be copied but again, it shows just how decayed intellectually you are.

so can kinetic energy be rightly said to be an end in the energy chain?

also, at death, i believe that even the cadaver possesses some energy, what happens to that since it can not be converted to kinetic?
you seem to ask 2 questions in 1.

First - Can kinetic energy be an end in the energy chain?

Answer — No end whatsoever ever, it transforms or converts to another and the cycle continues until a permanent loss in the event of death.

Second question - You claim, at death, you believe cadaver possess some form of energy.

Answer - Wrong, Cadaver had already lost all form of of energy conversion capabilities. If cadaver is buried, it will be a source of another energy to the plant ecosystem underground and underground insects to feed on.

How does human energy get converted and to what?
Human convert energy all the time. Mostly from potential to kinetic. For instance, you eat and feel full then you walk or do any labourous activities with your strength, then you get tired, you have just converted potential energy to kinetic energy and got exhausted till you eat another food to get filled up again.

If the energy is not lost, what then happens to it?
Energy can NEVER be lost, it only gets converted.

The same amount of energy in the Universe is the same amount of energy that has always been since the big bang. No new energy has been created.

So energy cannot be lost, it only gets converted.
Christianity EtcRe: Where Will You Spend Eternity? by Beeron:
Eternity is a fancy word for "when time stops" Going by physics explanation; The Universe is 13.8 billion years old. This estimate comes mainly from expansion of the universe; Cosmic microwave background radiation which was observed from telescopes like NASA’s space missions.

Now

Earth is 4.54 billion years old, Scientists figured this out by: Dating ancient rocks
Studying meteorites and Using radioactive decay methods.

A man life span is relatively 100 years old.

Now the concept of "eternity" is a nonsensical discussion for mortal man because man existence is too short to observe time relative to planetary bodies not to mention the age of the universe.

So back to the question of when time stops (Eternity), the answer is eternity has always existed as we all going through time since day 1 of our birth, now time for you as an individual stops the moment you die and according to entropy, after you die, your body only lose permanent ability to transform energy but overall the energy isn't lost. So to conclude:

Enjoy your life on Earth while taking a journey through eternity this moment.

Abeg hw u dey presume dips like this.
it's there in plain sight if you know where to look when viewing the trade chart, compute numbers, subtract or add trade volume, track fund traded. You will know how the money flow in and out of the market. That way it will be easy to predict the next move.

For instance, Large cap stocks did badly on Thursday and Friday this past week, all I have to do is track funds traded and confirm if it matches with the information ASI is showing, then I can decide if it's a weak market or about to gain momentum and I can also further research and decide what is driving a stock — is it solid fundamentals like they usually discuss on the stocks thread or technical charts analysis I do or just basic sector rotation.

Basically, follow the maths and numbers, they will predict the kind of emotional sentiments in the market.
