My plan is to invest long term, do I still need to take out the profits and invest in mutual funds as you advised while waiting for. ASI to find it's balance or I should just leave it. As it is and top up strategically?

Thanks Guy
Great job!!!
As a long term investor, just keep topping up whether the market is up or down because your goal is compounding over the years not capital appreciation.

Is zenith a good buy?
No Zenith is currently not a good buy. Understand that Zenith and GTCO are part of the two giant moving ASI.

Decline of ASI for the past few days should let you know that movement in large cap Banking stocks are slow and currently Zenith bank will experience some profit taking before a new rally begins, so if you have bought already, be willing to wait for some time or try average down.

Chief advisor, what is moving the foreign market and the tech market?
My chief, I most greet you. First thing first, you should understand that you made a smart decision trading ETFs. Second thing is you were so deligent to pick the right ETFs with value and once that commands huge volume.

Another fortunate factor about Derivatives (ETFs) is that they don't get over sold like individual company stocks, But even if they get over sold (dip), new investors are always ready to buy them up quickly because most investors see it as safe retirement investment, another thing is, it is widely preached abroad that Index and ETFs are safe to invest in so when newbie wants to invest, they are more likely to buy ETFs.

Just like how we advise new investors here on Nairaland to start with MMF, that's how newbie abroad get adviced to start with ETF or Index fund.

The only two things that moves ETFs are the news and sector rotation. Nothing else.

You just so smart using AI to your advantage and it's paying off with your investment strategy.

Thank you for this.
I was wanting to take the buying of the dips as it lowers everyday option, so as to own more units at a lower average price, But waiting for the prices to consolidate/balance also looks good, this will help in not buying too early when it could have been gotten at a much lower rate. Still observing...
when it reaches the limit and another rally seem to want to start. I will update the house.

So how can I take profit I no too Sabi this take profit abi I will have to redeem everything and wait later to buy the dip
Oga Ogborokiri, did you see my update regarding Dangote Sugar?

Secondly to answer your question; Just withdraw profit made in Equity fund and move to MMF, then wait till ASI find support and about to go up, then you can now begin to top up using that money already in MMF however, if you have money to keep topping up, even when it dips further and further, don't go through this stress.

Can you predict the ROI of 20m based on the analysis after 10 years
depends on a lot of factors if you want to be actively investing in all I have suggested and rotating funds between investments. But if it is only large cap stocks. I can assure you, you will grow that money exponentially to 70 to 100 million or more in 20 years without touching it because aside capital appreciation, you will also reinvest dividend into it. That way, it will grow exponentially.

Research has it that — most investment portfolio that do well are dead people portfolio, why? Because no one touches the money for a long time.
InvestmentRe: Equity Investment. by Beeron:
Good morning everyone.

Here is an update regarding your investment in Equity mutual funds.

Some of you might have been experiencing red days lately — the reason is simple, people are now taking profit en mass, So ASI has reached it's peak for now.

Two things might likely happen starting next week:

1 — Green arrow, means a long consolidation starting next week, basically, it means some days your will see profit and some days loss but not huge profit and the loss days will always cancel profits until ASI finds new support and begin a new rally.

2 — Red arrow, means ASI will just suddenly dip, meaning more red days due to institutional money leaving the market. When that happens, other retail investors will also be trimming their profit making ASI go further down until it finds a new support and begins a new rally.

So now what do you do and why am I writing this?

CSblackpink usually talk about top up during red days, Wise idea— but you have to be strategic about doing it, I see people doing it before now, I knew it was too early to do it, but It's not a bad thing, this is why I didn't say anything about it. Sometimes when you top up too early, that money too will also dip, so you will have to continue to buy the dip as it further dips. Not every one can always afford that.

Now what I recommend is simple — Now that it's profit taking season, Also take your profit and move it to mutual fund investment. After ASI has found support to begin a new rally, then you can withdraw your money from mutual fund and buy the new dip. I will also let you all know then when it's safe to buy but it's usually difficult to know when there is long consolidation going on.

But then again, for investors that can afford to keep buying the dip, please continue, because that's another smart strategy because eventually you will regain your losses when ASI begins a new rally.

In summary, this is time for profit taking, take profit, hold It and buy more units after profit taking season is over.

I am in a rush typing this because I need to go for my early morning jug now, when I come back I will answer any question if you have any.

RomanceRe: When Love Starts Getting Boring, What Actually Happens? by Beeron:
For a man and want to sustain relationship to avoid boredom; Always get your woman to do something for you. If she declines, the process of you sweet talking her into doing that task or favour and when she eventually does it, will improves the bond in the relationship, women likes to be invested in something emotionally to commit so much interest into it full time, now the more you win over that interest along with her compounded effort of so much tasks and favours done. She would have no choice but to always go with the flow and not see boredom.

Boredom can't steal that (task and favour) part away easily due to emotional investment which people like to call sunk cost fallacy.

What I just explained is what bad boys do to innocent girls which makes these girls crave them, because these boys always push them to their limit to do the most bizarre things with them in the guise of task of favour— and for some reason, she feels fulfilled after doing it. It's the same logic that allows a cheating married woman easily gives up annal sex to her bad boy but turns down husband repeatedly romantic sex.

Same reason, Bonny and Clide were that close till the extent of robbing people and banks together.

Then for women, to cure relationship boredom — Do things with your man especially things he loves, like watching football etc; at the same time, always put yourself in position where other men will desire you or seek you, dress to excite him, take care of yourself like you still in the dating market activity seeking a man, intantly the value of your stock shares held by your man will instantly go up in value, boredom will evaporate.

InvestmentRe: Would You Rather Travel To UK With 30 Million Or Invest In Nigeira? by Beeron:
Sadly lots of people are really contemplating this question and don't mind selling their landed property or house to japa.

Yes, Nigeria is challenging and dysfunctional as a system because it's a failed state. Nigeria is a place for 2 set people. Rich and poor, It's either you are rich in Nigeria or you are poor, the middle class has since been removed from the system because, when you rich in Nigeria, you would keep getting rich and when you poor in Nigeria, you will stay poor.

So people with aspirations to find that middle man status with stability are the once that sell off their property and japa.

Yes, You can make money in Nigeria (especially when you already have money) but only if you are smart enough to understand investment and investment strategy that fits you.

Nigeria isn't a place to succeed in physical business and start ups innovation, the system will frustrate you, the tax man will frustrate your effort, lack of infrastructure and basic amenities will slow your growth, staff will steal from you, clients will frustrate you with debt.

Such money can be well invested in Nigeria stocks, Nigeria bond, U.S derivatives plus MMF. Then keep your job and reap the benefits of your investment.

You will only have insecurity and poor infrastructure and lack or power to battle.

Hi investors,

I have invested 20 million naira in a Cowrywise high-yield portfolio, which currently offers an annual return of about 16.77%.

My questions are:

* Is my fund being fully optimized?
* Are there better investment options available?

I’m comfortable with moderate risk and have a long-term horizon of about 20 years. If there are more trustworthy alternatives with potentially higher returns, I would appreciate your recommendations so I can consider reallocating my funds.
I don't know your age but the fact that you are willing to wait 20 years.

Here is how you would go about it:

Spread 2 million each in five large cap stocks that pays dividends (bank stocks; GTCO, Zenitn, UBA, Stanbic, Dangote Cement or MTN. That will amount to 10 Million.

Then, Invest about 2 million into Cardinal stone Equity mutual funds.

You will be left with 8 Million. Throw that into Stanbic MMF.

Then go sleep and pray NIGERIA does not disintegrate before 20 years time because as long as Nigeria won't disintegrate; After 20 years and with this strategy, you will be financially secured for life because your investment would have over compounded such that, you can ball alone from stocks dividend pay out. Not to even mention capital gain appreciation.

Billionaires that leave the buck of their wealth in stocks does that for a reason and you will find it out in 20 years time.

Can I save my marriage in UBA
Not really but why he is quick to act is because negative news will impact the stocks of UBA since he himself is a large shareholder.

This is why High Net worth Individuals or Billionaires who have stakes or stocks in company are quick to take action relating to bad news or issues press release.

I sold my position in wapco yesterday, I had been holding since last 3 weeks.

It was looking and is still looking over bought which is why I left, I didn't want to loose any of my gains when the pull back happens.

My advice to you is wait for that pull back. ASI resurgence is the reason it is going to the moon now.
