Yes, chief. The documents I signed before signing up were gigantic. I can't wait to see what it offers. They have various equity funds and the international foreign investment equity funds, which comprise unhedged and master funds. Moreover, the foreign investment equity funds have the highest YTD at 42-43% YTD annually.
Trust me lots of investors in Nigeria wish to be in your shoes right now.

CelebritiesRe: “I Can’t Cope Anymore” — Kunle Afolayan Reveals Spending ₦11 Million On Diesel by Beeron: 7:38am On Mar 11
While Kunle is a good film maker, he seem not to be a strategic business man.

R.I.P to Gazzuzz, As strategic as Gazzuzz was, if Gazzuzz was in his shoes, He would have moved not so heavy duty electric appliances off grid to use solar, then only buy lesser diesel for heavy duty electrical appliances that consume so much power.

He would save cost that way.

People experiencing red, please relax and don't panic.

In my video of yesterday, I explained what is going on and how investors are reshuffling and repositioning from solid stocks to buy into oil and gas.

This is making other sectors see few red.

HealthRe: Chest Pains: Am I Having A Heart Attack? by Beeron: 4:47pm On Mar 01
It's not that serious a condition.

Just proceed to live a healthy life style and don't over work the heart by eating too much carbs, salt, alcohol or drugs.

Visit the cardiologist often for check up and monitor your blood pressure and pulse.

Many people have this condition without even knowing it and still live a normal life, you only got to know because of the recent pain you have been having which is an indication that you doing something too much or you not doing enough of.

Is this war going to affect our equity investment considering that the world economy will be impacted?
Yes, in the oil and gas sector.

Iran closed the strait of hormuz yesterday, crude prize shot up to 75 or so per barrel. If it continues to shoot up, crude will become expensive, Federal government will be smiling because, more money to be earned from crude, less burden on the budget, slowed down borrowing.

When then happens is the fixed income market rates becomes less attractive (bond & Tbills), people will start moving money to the stock market. ASI will shoot up

Another way it will affect, is the oil and gas index, if your equity invest more in that sector, you are about to begin to smile.
Foreign AffairsRe: ‘no Ship Allowed’: Iran Blocks Strait Of Hormuz by Beeron: 7:20pm On Feb 28
seunmsg:
Nigeria should be very worried. This is no longer looking good. Over 20million barrels of crude oil passes through that strait daily. Oil prices have soared in response. If this continues, crude oil will go out of reach and global economy will collapse. The price of PMS will go over N1000 very soon in Nigeria.
on the flip side, Nigeria government will actually be happy lol

Global oil price just increased, that's extra money Nigeria will earn from crude.

Don't worry, Dangote will not increase local price as he already has a deal with Federal Government on crude.

I sense the fear factor. Some of us try to hold others back for things we are afraid to do. We stylishly wait for the "i told you so" moments while pushing narratives that will justify decisions we took out of fear. Otherwise, he's an agent.

The facts are clear though. Not a single SEC approved MMF fund manager has defaulted or ran away with people's money. Not a single one, whether fintech, mushroom or cottage fund manager.
I use several mmfs, stanbic, firstally, trustbanc, STL, cowrywise, FBN and a couple of others. I prefer the transparency that cowrywise provides over stanbic everyday. I can see the daily breakdown per fund manager, i could invest in multiple mmf(in the past), track and buy stocks, etc.

I dont mind anyone promoting any fund manager really, but let's keep to the facts and not fear affirmation. Afterall, for any serious investor, your promotion should only point them in the direction of the investment. Due diligence to affirm what you are asserting is their personal business.
About this:

"I sense the fear factor. Some of us try to hold others back for things we are afraid to do. We stylishly wait for the "i told you so" moments while pushing narratives that will justify decisions we took out of fear."

If you didn't study psychology as main or elective course in school, then you must have read far and wide, or you probably must have dealt with lots of people in your line of work to know this.

However in psychology, we call it cognitive dissonance.

The NIDF from Chapel Hill?
NIDF (Nigeria International Debt Fund) is run and managed by Afrivest.

The underlying asset is only bond, Government Bond and corporate bond.

It's one of the oldest investment in Nigeria, I think I have a video on it on YouTube.

They invest in bond; buy, sell and hold according to weekly money market in the economy.

Now if you understand how this works, you will understand why Cardinal stone fixed income has been bearish lately.

Here is what is going on: Since two weeks now, there has been huge liquidity in the system, so banks and fund managers began to wait for the MPC meeting to know if rate cut will happen or not.

In that time, Cardinal stone didn't trade bond, they just gave investors returns from other investments, so technically that why CS fixed income has been sluggish lately.

Now that everyone has confirmed the rate cut, it will guide their decisions on how to invest in bond again.
InvestmentRe: Equity Investment. by Beeron: 5:58pm On Feb 28
EquityM:
Haha, if you want a good fixed income with a higher yield, try the DMO from the federal government; it starts with 50M, and once you are in, the rate stays there automatically for 10 years. Another alternative is NIDF; it pays around 24YTD per annum, but it's like a share—you have to buy it from the stockbrokers.
The DMO from Federal Government. And it starts with 50 million.

You basically talking about bond. Those are the requirements to buy government bond after the DMO issues it.

If you don't want to hold for long, you can go sell it at FMDQ. That 10 years hold duration is not fixed.

Bond investment is the safest investment amongst all investment in the world, even if the country goes broke (provided the country has not disintegrated), your bond will still be paid back but repriced.

People just don't talk about it more because of the 50 million entry barrier.

Bond is what global financial analyst use to first analyze a country fiscal health. And that's where I start from, when I try to dig deep into a country's macros.

The post you responded to said MMF, and I got confused after reading what the original poster posted and the responses so it got me confused Abi is there another type of MMF.
Oh, now I get your point.

The reason I made mention of MMF in that post was because he originally moved his money from MMF to Equity balance fund, but he didn't like the red he was seeing so I adviced him to wait, recoup his capital and move his money back to MMF where it's safe.

Their withdrawal is fast, bro. They have one of the highest numbers of balance fund subscribers among the equity fund managers. Even though topping up is slow, they will eventually credit the backlog.

This is the ESG with a higher weight in bonds.
This one covers all areas of investment in Nigeria.

What's the minimum to invest in this?
InvestmentRe: Equity Investment. by Beeron: 12:46pm On Feb 27
EquityM:
I did thorough research.
This is good.

Equity takes larger portion, Bond is very minute.

The reason you see reasonable amount on bad days is because of that "money market" investment, however during Equity bearish season, that income from money market goes to into paying fund managers that's why you still see red.

This balance fund is very unique. E make sense. It would have been top tier if they invested in bond more.

I can take a shot at this.

By the way, That zenith quantum balance fund, did you check their fact sheet to determine how much percent of bond and Equity, they invested in?

I'm doing really well; is the NGX pension index making the stock prices pull back heavily? I do see a lot of profit taking almost everyday.
What is happening is most solid stocks were bought up aggressively by the pension guys, so much so that early investors in those stocks are now taking profit because the profit is too mouthwatering, once they are done. Another rally is sure because institutional money like the pension money will make the market even solid, and brings confidence to the market. It will seem like a bubble but Naaah, it's not.

But anyway, ASI could reach 180 to 200 soon.

Guys I put 15m from my mmf into Stanbic balance but it has depleted badly. I may withdraw the money once it bounces back sha. The red is too much oh
Chief, I know you are surprised at the loss, hence the reason you voicing out.

(Let me make you smile)

If you had made equivalent gains of your current loss, will you have reported to the house?)

(That's on a lighter note; just kidding you, cheer up Chief)

Truth is, you went into it aggressively, you could have test the waters before investing a huge chunk in it. However, you still didn't make any mistake if you have the patience to wait it out. You will eventually smile.

As long as you haven't pull out your money yet, your current loss is regarded as "paper loss" not real loss.

You only going through the motions of emotions right now such as fear, grief, regret, confusion etc.

As long as you are calm and stay invested, it will all pass, you will smile again, I promise you.

Once you get back you capital and you know you not fit for this type of emotional rollercoaster, please move back the money to MMF or just invest little you wouldn't lose sleep over.
InvestmentRe: Equity Investment. by Beeron: 11:02am On Feb 27
princezzz:
Equity is a game of patience.
It shouldnt be something you put in today and take out tomorrow because of fear. Records have shown that no matter what happen, the performance for previous years as a whole will always beat MMF. You dont judge equity by the performance of 1 day. That money has to stay at least a year for you to see growth.
Judging by the screenshoot of someone here who invested 1 million into 3 funds during the good green days,he got about 7k interest on 1million in 1 day. If you had 15m in equity on that day,you would have made like #105,000. And this is what 8millions generally would have given you in a whole month in MMF
Please stop looking at equity with the eyes of MMF, if you cannot play the long game or bear the red days, patiently wait for the money to balance up and then port back to MMF.
Them no dey use fear dey equity, every thing would balance up and more before the financial year runs out.
Good analysis Princess. You very spot on.
