In as much as I wouldn't want to be involved in this tribal war, let me correct you on this particular statement with an experience I had in 2006. I was born and grew up in Aba before moving back to Lagos.

I was posted to Eleme Rivers State for my NYSC in 2006 and there I met Onyinye, a pretty Igbo lady from Orlu l.g.a Abia state.

We visited her Uncle during one of the holidays and he asked for my state of origin. He was SHOCKED when I told him that I am from Epe l.g.a, Lagos state. The next word he uttered was: I THOUGHT LAGOS IS NO MANS LAND, HOW COME YOU ARE FROM LAGOS.

I felt insulted and embarrassed that my would be in-law is calling my ancestral home a NO MANS LAND. That was the beginning of the end of the relationship.

Lmao! I know this isn't exactly funny but I can't help it.
You just allowed a man dictate your future with a few words.
Do people like this actually exist in the real world?!
Unbelievable!

everybody is just talking off point here, d impression m getting here is that most of d commenters here are shallowminded individuals who have no value to add other dan to engage in idle tribalistic arguements.
1, d traders were against d demolition
2. an agreement was made for d demolition to start on d 4th of october only to b surprised with a sudden move by govt officials to demolish the shops on 1st of october.
Any one who cant respect an agreement can never be relied on for anything.
3. this is what made the traders to resist the demolition attempt and noted d fact that traders whose shops were demolished in d past were never compensated.
no1 is focusing on these issues, if ur family members depended on the survival of any of d shops dere ya'll wont be engaging in idle conversations here.
4.d govt officials are taking food off peoples tables with no compensation n some persons are dere cursing out ibo n yoruba tribes. its a shame.
Finally!
I was just looking for that lone, reasonable comment that is the norm in threads like this.
Now, I can stop reading.

Hahahahahahahahaha funny you, your sense of assessment is deplorable my dear, are your male relatives Nigerians? (smart question you asked), little boy? ohhh my my :-) well I've assessed you and have been reading Ronald's post and I can sincerely tell you that even in your next life you won't be able to acquire or be near his level of intelligence. Wisdom comes with no height, physique or age tag how am I not surprised you don't know that.

When I saw the notification of a mention on a thread that I thought was done, I was expecting to read some reasonable points not the usual praise filled comments for advocates of rape and other lowly activities.
Speaking of level of intelligence, I'm guessing you mean the one measured by chauvinism, misogyny and in general, the usual stupidity that's common among a large percentage of guys on here. Well, I'll definitely never want to reach/acquire such level of "intelligence" grin

Is the lady a learner?
You have to be extremely foolish to think that a Nigerian guy will do you a favour as a female and not expect sex in return.
Nigerian ladies need to learn that the only men in that society that wouldn't ask for sex in exchange for a favour are their fathers, brothers and in some cases, their uncles.
Never collect money or gift from some guy; friend, boyfriend, brother in the Lord. Whatever fancy name you choose to give him, he's still a random guy. My parents told me this when I was younger.

The only thing the lady in the op can do is to figure out a way to give this messed up friend of hers his money.

People from other regions of the country be attacking the north over issues of early child marriage, but their hypocrisy won't let them see that they are the worst problem to a girl child. News like this hardly comes from the north.
NB: Instead of putting a girl child into a life long trauma and possible societal rejection, I had rather marry her. Not in support of the two though, but in a worst scenario I will do the latter.
Oh please!
There's no difference between the two.
Ultimately, an adult has carnal knowledge of a child. It's disgusting.
Neither of the two is better.

Applause for a wonderful remark. But don't you think the 99.5% quota is rather low, perhaps it'd have been 99.9% with remaining 0.1% allocated to your male relatives as I'm confident they must be equally daft like the NL guys.

Any lady who thinks Nigerian men mind are fvcked up must be a fvcktard themselves. If you feel all a guy wants from you is sex that's because sex is the only thing you've got to bring into the affair. Nonsense!

Ouch! Someone's hurt.
Ahaha! And where did the last sentence come from? Bringing my male relatives into this wouldn't change a thing, hun. I've seen some comments of yours on here, little boy. Face it, you're just as messed up as the rest.

Well, I'll let you in on what I told some other user. Save your energy. Your daughters will definitely be needing it wink

Wrong .

I read your comment as a misrepresentation of doting fathers with no form of abuse in their mind consciously or unconsciously because they do exist. smiley
Hope you dig? grin
Well, we can't take away the fact that abusive parents exist. We hear about them everyday. This abuse starts from somewhere and most times, the other parent is usually aware.
So, as you give him the benefit of the doubt (of being a doting father), remember, he could also be an abusive one.

Every opinion matters when kids are involved after all the society bears the brunt if one kid is emotionally unstable due to bad parenting or other factors but again we don't need to overreact here.

I got your drift but again you can always agree with me that some fathers are like this and saying that it is a sure way to abuses on his own part is simply an overreaction.

Fine. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

In as much as some fathers dotes on their daughters I find it inappropriate for a man to bath his 12 yr old daughter but I still feel that the abuse aspect you were highlighting is simply an overreaction.

Overreaction? I don't think so.
A male adult that doesn't know it's time to stop scrubbing his daughter that has developing breastss, has hair in her vaginal region and has quite possibly started her menstrual cycle is not trustworthy.
The thought of it is disturbing.

This is wrong. She's still a child but definitely not a little girl anymore. Besides, females hit puberty at an early age.
I don't care if the man is doing it innocently or not. He's an adult and should be reasonable enough to know it's time to stop. Where is her mother anyway?
I hate hearing things like this 'cause this is how abuse starts.
