lilmax:I was wondering when the insults will come in as that's a norm for your type. Smartness... or rather intelligence? Don't even go there. That's an attribute you evidently do not possess. I simply wrapped your words around you while maintaining the meaning. Yet, you still couldn't see the absurdity in your post. Nobody should be getting hit. Male or female, badly behaved or not. Likes and praised-filled mentions on nairaland mean absolutely nothing. Especially when your comment is empty. Next time, I suggest you think very carefully before coming up with some dumb justification for abuse. Period. |
lilmax:No, your comment indicates you have nothing to offer. You claimed one is only hit when ill behaved. Based on that, you should be able to agree with me that the man deserved the abuse he was getting after all he must have behaved badly for his wife to react that way. Face it; your comment was empty. Case closed! |
lilmax:You tell me. You made the comment after all. |
Lol! How childish! Oh!.... Stop pretending. You know exactly why he's doing that. We all reach a certain age when naivety isn't cute anymore. I'm very sure you've gotten there ![]() |
lilmax:From this extraordinary logic of yours, the man deserved to be hit. Yes, he must be ill behaved for her to do that. You made the comment, not me. |
Truckpusher:Lol! Don't worry, I don't hit people or animals. |
Truckpusher:I understand. I wasn't advocating for a divorce. I simply implied that it's important not to remain in a place where one's life is in danger especially in her condition. If they choose to reconcile and whatever way they do it is neither my choice nor my business. Yes, marriage is not a bed of roses but I think like every other life decision, it's what you make out of it. |
mikolo80:I wasn't referring to his grammar. I just meant that he must have gotten the background knowledge of the mechanisms he used for the inventions from somewhere other than a secondary school. So, you're right except for your last statement. You shouldn't speak about yourself like that. |
Truckpusher:This wasn't just a little misunderstanding. And, what do you mean by "hit her a little"? Should anyone be getting hit at all? Besides, she was bleeding and had to be taken to the hospital. The man obviously doesn't have a care in the world for his wife and their unborn child. By staying there, she's not only endangering her life but that of her baby too. Trust me , every man would love it - I know how many married men that are waitng for their wives to demand for a divorce - Na better speed dem go give her one.Why wait for the wife to demand it? Why don't they just demand it themselves and spare the woman the abuse. After all, everyone deserves a chance at happiness. By the way, I hope you know that not every marriage is broken with legal documents and a signature. Many people are already in broken marriages. They're just not ready to face the society. |
DonaldGenes:What's this? My comment wasn't to be taken too seriously but I guess it hit home.. at least for you. And yes, he's more than a boyfriend. He's very respectable too ![]() |
DonaldGenes:Lol! Wouldn't that be crazy? Kind of stalker-ish. |
Josephamstrong1:4 hefty brothers. They would never allow anyone mess with I or my sisters. We're lucky, right? ![]() |
Many nairaland guys don't have girlfriends. Most of them are lonely and frustated ![]() Yes, it's not too difficult to deduce ![]() The girl is pretty. You all above me know it. |
Bolade005:Ikr! ![]() |
Good. I was wondering why he sounded more educated than the average secondary school leaver until I read he attended an Institute of Electronics. I wish him good luck and I hope he gets the much needed financial assistance from FG. Ohagi said he had witnessed a situation where a patient slapped a nurse for allowing his blood to go up the lineWhat a short tempered man! How dare he! ![]() |
Such a thing CANNOT happen to I or my sisters. ..but if it does, I'll call my brothers. I'm glad I have them ![]() |
Wow! Just wow! I hate animal cruelty. Just as that woman had no right to hit the dog, the man had absolutely no right to hit his wife. I'm almost too sure he didn't hit her just because of her actions. There must have been something more. He obviously has no respect for his wife and no love for his unborn child. He wouldn't even fit in a jungle. I guess the woman is still in that house. Probably cares more about being married than for her own safety and that of her child. ...okay, I didn't mean to judge. Just couldn't help that last part. |
It didn't start today and it certainly won't end tomorrow. Your criticism stems from the belief that the female is losing more in this type of relationship. It's understandable but not exactly true. They're adults. They have a right to live their life the way they want. Whatever fruit(good or bad) their action yields, I'm sure they can swallow. |
Cutehector:Oh spare us! If this was a Nigerian woman, this thread would've been filled with the usual sissy screams of "gold digger! gold digger! gold digger!" Bullshit! |
Every Nigerian has heard and read it all before. They're all stereotypes. Some would fit and some wouldn't. |
He obviously doesn't want to be caught in the middle of a messy situation. Let's be honest, if Nigeria was working who would want to leave? The number of frustrated Nigerians will even reduce and there might not be so much hatred among us |
Why are Nigerians on twitter always "reacting"? Congratulations to Channels. |
What is wrong with some Nigerians? You complain about the government but it seems like you all are very comfortable with the poverty you've been entrenched in. There's absolutely nothing wrong with aguiyi's comment. That's a society where zebra crossings are rare and even the few are just there for decoration. One where sidewalks are the little sand at the edge of the road. One where ritualists, kidnappers, paedophiles and all sorts of dangerous people are abound without any hope of ever being caught. Those kids should never be exposed to such dangers. Caring for one's siblings is a natural instinct. Something most of us still do. You choose to commend it? Good for you. Children being thrown in the face of danger is certainly NOT natural or normal. If you're going to commend the norm, then you should be able to condemn the abnormal. Keep your emotions aside Nigerians. Some of you need to look at the life you had as a child. Look at the life you have now.You ought to know you deserve(d) better. So do these children. |
sukkot:I think you quoted the wrong user. |
buyAride:I'm glad you agree that Nigeria is a sick place but more importantly, it's good to know you were able to prove the psychological damage most of her citizens are being subjected to. Goodnight. |
Wait. A mosque was burnt down. No one died. Someone apologizes to "the north" "The north" is suddenly so mature for not retaliating. Seriously?! How does a mosque represent the north? Are there not millions of Muslims from the south? Are there not millions of Christians that are indigenous to the northern part of the country? Am I the only one noticing that "northerners" are being commended for not retaliating violently. Am I the only one noticing that they are being praised for not going on a murdering spree. What does this imply? A norm, a habit or some behavioural instinct? Am I the only one that has noticed how sick of a country Nigeria is? Am I the only one that has noticed how mentally damaged most of her citizens are? It all makes me want to throw up. |
Lmao! How the hell did 200 million naira fit into a purse. Bloggers and lies are like bread and butter ![]() |
This has nothing to do with boko haram. It has been practised there for a very long time. Based on what I've read, it is done to prevent promiscuity on the path of the girl. Such practice is barbaric and should be squashed. |
What's the difference between these people and boko haram? No difference. |
TimothyNkenu:Lol! Biko, let mama Ngozi be. If it bothers you so much, you could get her some gym equipment. Just don't expect a friendly neighbour after that. |
otokx:It's ridiculous. This is why it's important for both parents to be financially stable. Also, Nigerian parents need to start planning for the future of their kids. Set up a trust fund or something. It's not just about bringing children into the world . Every child deserves a good life. They don't deserve to be "shared out" and left at the mercy of all sorts of people at the slightest misfortune. That 15 year old child has been kept in harm's way. It could've been avoided. |
This is contemptible. From the report, she was given admission. This indicates she passed the required exams for admission into the university. Also, her father stated "she had been taking her lectures and doing her class assignments without stress or complaints". These should strike out any silly doubt about her ability to learn. Having a disability doesn't make one useless. A university, yet filled with educated illiterates. I would've stated they should take this to the appropriate authorities but they already did. They proved to be rude and useless like most government workers. I guess this is where the human rights organizations should come in. I just hope something is done about this pathetic case of discrimination. |
