in my view, i think your wife is simply in too much love with you and because of the money situation you are putting too much pressure on her and at the time you seem to make money the subject matter for everything including your smiling, and so as a result she did what she did, but i don't see how much she would be paid anyway that would possibly make you smile, probe that matter if the cash she was paid was high

listen man, don't let nairalanders make you pick up a a quarrel with your wife a majority off them are very unreasonable and are just very insultive in nature, besides many of them can't handle girl friends how much more a wife, well just talk to your wife like the man you are; tell her that you took offence to the way and manner she spoke to you and you wouldn't entertain any more of that, tell her that even she wants you to do her a favour there are better ways to go about it and forget the whole issue
