If anybody speaks against Buhari "he has collected his share of the 21billion" but if it's against GEJ, "they want change". APC and double-standards. |
Meanwhile a friend wrote on his FB wall............ I am not a fan nor supporter of Oga Jona(I have always had this strong premonition that this man smacks of doom for this country and my premonitions have been confirmed) but I also take srious exceptions to the unwitty insult that the APC is hurling at our sensibilities. As much I totally support the decision of the APC to boycott the debate organised by BON as well as that organised by the NEDG on the ground that the brains behind them have ulterior motives. Which obviously or latently aare in favour of the PDP,I cannot find any reason(I mean a reasonable one) to excuse the party's decision to boycott the debate organised by the trio of Channels TV,Arise TV,and the Newspapers Practitioners Association of Nigeria(NPAN).Channels TV is one of those media organisations that enjoy much viewership and this is because of their fair reportage of events on the political scene as well as the poking cum piercing nature of their interviews. In fact, Channels has been one of those media outfit that has hit hard on Oga Jona.Arise TV is the online TV arm of ThisDay Newspaper. The Newspaper has two regular columnists who are no fan of GEJ-Segun Adeniyi(Media aide to late Yar'adua) and Dele Momodu- and their reportage of events is,by my standards,of international media practices standard. In fact, sometimes I wonder if the newspaper is not an avowed anti-Jonathan platform.I may not be able to say much about NPAN but even if given that NPAN is biased,it still remains two to one. So,APC should forget that balderdash that it is throwing around.I campaigned vigorously for the General and even won my polling booth for him at the 2011 polls but that will not mean we should gloss over the truth.GMB MUST DEBATE,if truly the APC are sure of the stuff they sell.I am sure of what I sell,is the APC sure too? |
When the governor has refused to pay salaries and pensions for months now what do you expect? Meanwhile a friend wrote on his FB page...... When it comes to owing salaries and pensions, Amaechi is still a learner. Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is the grandmaster. People in Osun are suffering and are silently praying for the tribunal to declare Omisore as the winner. |

Raiders:The maitatsine of 1985 are not as sophisticated as the Boko Haram of 2015. Maitatsine are just religious fanatics and fundamentalists, Boko Haram is a terror group. |
So it can be painful to him? I've always said it, Buhari cannot take half of what APC haul at Jonathan. Like a contributor in Nigerian Tribune wrote "Moreover, Nigerians can take it for granted that if President Goodluck Jonathan was the one caught in a certificate scandal Lai Mohammed and the APC leadership would have been on every media channel in Nigeria and even beyond; he would have issued several press statements everyday demanding not only the president's resignation but his prosecution" |
You said he has dumped PDP but in the body of the news you said he may soon dump PDP. Who did this to you? Your propaganda can't take you anywhere, without any official statement from him on his next line of action, the meeting might swing either way. |
Thought Osinbajo said GMB will personally lead the fight against Boko Haram. APC can make mouth ehn. Their mouths just be like "we will solve the Boko Haram issue in 2 months". Dem think say insurgency na beans. Check throughout the world and tell me one country that has succeeded in crushing insurgency completely. China as sophisticated as it is is yet to crush the Uighur muslim militants, Russia with its superpower status and its great arsenal is yet to crush the islamic militants in its Dagestan region, FARC has been existing in Colombia for over 50 years, the PKK are still a pain in Turkey's azz, the USA despite spending billions of dollars and with all its sophistication couldn't completely crush al-queda and taliban, ISIS is currently taking over territories in the middle east and the US has done little to halt their advance. Insurgency is not rice and beans, I did a course on Terrorism and Violent Political Movements and my view about terrorism change, it is a malignant tumour that's VERY hard to battle. The problem with these APC folks is that they lack knowledge but their militant attitude and crowd mentality will never make them seek knowledge. |
"we have been shouting that let us educate the people of the North, but they don’t want to be educated as we are. Yet they want to be qualified as we are" I think this sums everything up. God bless you sir for that wonderful insight. Emi, baba mi, iya mi ati awon omo iya mi ti se ipinu pe Goodluck Jonathan ni a ma dibo fun. #GEJWins |

JackBaueress1:I don't know how easy it is for you people to insult your leader and people old enough to sire you with such relish and when they do so for Buhari and his ilk you'll nearly commit suicide promising fire and brimstone. Speaks much of the kind of upbringing you had. An apparent failure of the family as an agent of socialization where children are taught morals and ethics. |
dejt4u:And what were they paying before GEJ increased it to 19800? |
JackBaueress1:Well the guys that stoned the president are good boys right? GEJ is too meek in this era when people get one year jail sentences in some countries for insulting the president on twitter. I bet even Buhari would have given them 300years prison sentence. |
OLUWOLE. All hail TINUBU |

A gift of N2 million Abiola Ajimobi, governor of Oyo state, is the subject of rancour between students of halls of residents in the University of Ibadan and their executive council members. On Friday, January 2, 2015, the governor invited leaders of all halls of residence in UI and neighbouring The Polytechnic Ibadan to a meeting at the government house, where he gave them N2 million. The money, which was to be shared among the hall chairmen and chairpersons at N100,000 per head, was taken out of the government house to an undisclosed location. An inside source who spoke to TheCable said the student leaders eventually got N70,000, because Adelabu ‘Labzy’ Adeola, former presidential aspirant of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS); and Segun Olaleye (popularly known as Radical Brother), former UI Students Union president, deducted N30,000 as “PR” cost of organising the meeting. The source added that of the N70,000, N20,000 was to be taken by the leader of every hall, while the remaining N50,000 was for the hall. After the meeting, some of the student leaders returned to their halls to deliver meagre sums within the range of N500 to N3000 to the so-called stakeholders in the halls of residence. “When the students found out how much was given to the student leaders, they confronted their leaders to ask for more, which eventually led to heated disagreement between the students and the executives,” the source said. Some hall leaders had to lie to their hall members that they were only given N20,000, which had been distributed already. It was not just current hall leaders who were present at the meeting. Others were Toba Bankole, onetime chairman of Nnamdi Azikwe hall; Teslim Ogundiran, former information minister of the same hall; Victor Olojede, onetime aspirant of NANS JCC Oyo vice chairmanship seat; as well as ‘Labzy’ and ‘Radical Brother’. Speaking on the meeting, Adelabu said he had always helped halls in the university access funds from politicians for their hall week celebrations. “Over the years, I have always assisted the hall administration in getting funds from politicians to assist in their hall week, from the governor, Senator Olalehin, Honourable Awoleye and our own Radical Brother,” he said. “The governor and Lanlehin only donated money once in 2011 after their inauguration, while Awoleye and Radical brother have been consistent.” Adelabu went on to explain that he joined Radical Brother, who is a member of the governor’s contact committee, to approach the governor for support funds, which the governor turned down outright, saying UI students had not been grateful to him. Radical brother pleaded on behalf of the students, promising they would “make it up this time around, since there was going to be public announcement of the money.” On January 2, the hall leaders converged on the government house, where they were told the conditions tied to the money, which were not disclosed to TheCable. On agreeing to the terms, the governor allotted N100,000 to each hall present, amounting to about N2m for halls from UI and The Polytechnic Ibadan. According to Adelabu, the N30,000 removed from each hall was to be shared by attendees and spent on PR. “N70,000 was given to each attendee, N50,000 for the hall week and N20,000 for each hall chairperson. The rest was shared by the attendees and on PR,” he explained. “Everybody was aware. I, Bankole and Ogundiran (all three not hall chairmen) also got N20,000. Extra N10,000 was given to the representatives of hall chairpersons who couldn’t make it, so they can settle their hall chairs too. The halls that were not present had their representatives.” Elsewhere, Lateef Bada, the chairman of Mellanby hall, UI’s premier hall of residence, said the money was a gift but it was “slashed by the inner cabal” just for him to have N20,000 only. “Truly, the governor invited us during the weekend and gave us money as gift. To my utmost surprise, the money was slashed by inner cabals; I personally got N20,000,” he said. Bada, who disclosed that the Students Union president was present, named the inner cabals as senior special advisers and special advisers to the governor and the likes. However, Odesola Oluwafemi the SU president better known as ‘Huntersola’, said he was “not given a kobo” because he was not part of the deal. The hall chairpersons have not been speaking with one voice on the purpose of the money. While some have said they were given the money for their hall week, which held some weeks ago, others claim the money a mobilisation for the governor’s second-term bid. A third group says the money was “just a gift”. www.thecable.ng/rancour-in-university-of-ibadan-over-ajimobis-n2m-gift |
Even OBJ decided to further his education and augment his academic qualifications after he finished his tenure as president. He enrolled at NOUN and made Bachelor's Degree. He has enrolled for a Masters Degree in the same institution. Call it passion for self development. Buhari has been so stagnant. No entrepreneurial spirit, no passion for education. Still the same 1m and 150 cows since 1985. It's not too late for him to write WAEC, pass and enrol for a degree in the federal university GEJ built for his state. |
Citizens of the federal republic of Nigeria, who are worried about the qualifications of General Buhari as a leader who promoted autarky in its extreme form in Nigeria between 1983 and 1985, do have every reason given the emerging facts about his inability to present even the minimum requirement of just a leaving school certificate to question his moral and other credentials for pursuing the position of the president of Nigeria. The current emerging shocking disclosures brings to the fore how and what qualifications were used to recruit him into the military without a minimum school leaving certificate, where he rose to the rank of a General and even became the Head of state through a military coup that truncated a democratically elected government in 1983. Beyond the moral burden of human rights abuses and other sundry anti-democratic practices in his public records, we find that even in other spheres of democratic practices and in particular on the matter of due processes, his disdain for democratic conduct has not changed. Academic qualification is a threshold issue that cannot be waived for any citizen no matter how highly placed and irrespective of whichever region such individual comes from except as provided by the constitution. Thus the question must be asked; is Buhari or any other citizen qualified to contest election into the office of the president without meeting the minimum constitutional requirement? A perusal of the Nigerian constitution at section 131 unequivocally stated that;“A person shall be qualified for election to the office of President if: (a)He is a citizen of Nigeria by birth (b) He has attained the age of forty years(c)He is a member of a political party and is sponsored by that political party; and (d) He has been educated up to at least School certificate level or its equivalent. It is to be noted that section 131 (d) is a specific directional order for all candidates to show proof of education up to a minimum standard not below school certificate or its equivalent. But from what INEC has published, Buhari has not submitted any personal particular of minimum school leaving certificate for the 2015 election and shockingly from INEC documents displayed in all constituencies, he also did not submit anything in 2011 and never referred the umpire then to the Secretary of the Military Board as well as previous elections he contested as evidenced in all available INEC records until this current discovery. If the constitution did not require proof, it would not specify a minimum. To strengthen this claim the extant Electoral Act directs that such proof must be sworn to by each candidate at a Court under section 31 (2) to (5) viz (2)“The list of information submitted by each candidate shall be accompanied by an affidavit sworn to by the candidate at the Federal High Court, High Court of a state or the FCT, indicating that he has fulfilled all the constitutional requirements for election into that office.” (3) “The Commission shall within 7 days of the receipt of the personal particular of the candidate,(emphasis here is personal particular and not INEC form given to fill or court document like affidavit) and publish same in the constituency where the candidate intends to contest” (4) A person may apply to the Commission for a copy of nomination form affidavit and any other document submitted by a candidate at an election and the Commission shall, upon payment of a prescribed fee, issue the person with a certified copy of the documents within 14 days” (5) “Any person who has reasonable grounds to believe that any information given in the affidavit or any document submitted by that candidate is false, may file a suit at the federal high court, High Court of a state or FCT against such person seeking a declaration that the information contained in the affidavit is false” (6)” If the court determines that any of the information contained in the affidavit of any document submitted by that candidate is false, the court shall issue an order disqualifying the candidate from contesting the election.” It should be noted that for elections to the office of the president and for the purpose of display of particulars of candidates for all presidential elections, the entire country is taken as one constituency i.e the 774 LGAs of the 36 states including the FCT where these particulars have been displayed. Nigerians that have perused the affidavit of nomination as submitted by General Buhari as published in all INEC offices, as well as the copies of his similar INEC documentations for 2011 clearly revealed that a man who claims to be of integrity has not been true to Nigerians. It can be seen that as indicated in section 31(6) there is reasonable grounds to believe that a false deponent was declared in the affidavit where it indicates that all documents relating to the personal particulars of General Buhari are with the Secretary of the Military Board. First in the INEC Form CF 001 for 2015 filled by General Buhari at section C of the form, the instruction on the form clearly states “Attach evidence of all educational qualifications”, this was not done, yet an affidavit was sworn otherwise. Curiously, he did not refer INEC to this board in 2011 in his records available for anyone who cares to see how Buhari has, in breach of the constitution of 1999, contested elections severally without meeting the mandatory constitutional reqirement and has been treated preferentially. Is Buhari above the law of the land or should we suspend or amend the constitution to accommodate him? It is common knowledge that military board like any others do not keep or retain original copies of personal particulars of individuals such as birth certificates, passports, and academic credentials of any personnel, especially retired personnel after over 3 decades. It must also be stated, that INEC erred in law by publishing the name of a candidate without receiving the personal particulars of the candidate within 7 days of receiving his nomination forms as indicated in section 31(3), this is indeed a tragedy illustrating what Nigeria has become, that an individual is so powerful that the law has to be ignored to accommodate him. Certainly, INEC printed nomination forms or High Court affidavits are in no way or by any stretch of definitions, the same as personal particulars such as school leaving certificate. lanjum:I shouldn't have dignified you with a response but it would be a better option to augment your little bag of knowledge. I was born, I grew up and had all my education in the southwest. So I know what I'm saying. I was at the rally where GEJ made the statement in Ibadan so uncouth foul-mouthed swine like you can misinform me. You called me mumu right? Well I won't reciprocate the gesture because the way you struggled with the use of English is enough to tell me what an odoriferous product of an unprotected sex between an agbero and a prostitute you are. Mention me again and I will crush you into smithereens. |

The person that pulled off the "Buhari has no certificate" stunt must be a Political wizard. So far, Pa Buhari has not been able to meander his way through this. Seems there is an iota of truth in this. GEJ till Buhari matches my BSc Political Science. |
