I had a growth on my episiotomy site.it looked like a boil but was red and tender and bleeds whenever I pressed. The doctor prescribed vit c and antibiotics for me. Also asked me to apply to 6x daily. It opened after 2 days and turns out it was cos my body rejected a stitch(the knoted end). My dh helped me remove the stitch, it took two weeks for the growth to completely disappear. What options did your gynae give u

My breast milk supply isn't enough for my baby, I have done everything I read here, got little result. My baby(6wks old) has been crying for the past fews day. I'm always feeding him day and night yet he isn't satisfied. Pls advise me what on the formula I can introduce to him that won't make him to have constipation but make him gain weight as he hasnt gaining much weight since birth. Pls help me, I haven't slept or rested for the past 5days. I'm getting frustrated already

Pls help all sabi moms. I need all help and experiences I can get.

I started giving my son NAN 1 a day after birth as I wasn't producing milk. We stopped at 3 days but started again at 3 weeks as bm wasn't enough and I was tired. He is 8 weeks now and his adding weight like mad. He was 2.9kg at birth and weighed 4.6kg at 6 weeks. There are great brands but NAN1 is working for us presently. He poops once in 2 days though and it works fine for me.

Ahhh, and today I wanted us to talk abt episiotomies, lochia. Used to know 3 types of lochia, rubra n d rest. And tot they all lasted for a week each. Pls share ur experiences.

My lochia lasted about 7 weeks,it flowed heavily for 3 days pp and tapered off to d light flow, then whitish stuff. I never pressed my tummy or tied my tummy though I gave birth vaginally. My MIL came 4 weeks after I put to bed and forced me to press my tummy with hot water. I started bleeding like 20mins after, thought it was still lochia but the flow increased over the days and was bright red, it took me a while to realize it was my period . I gave birth 8 weeks ago and have seen my period twice since then
As for my episiotomy, i had a side cut, I looked at it after 3 days and nearly fainted. Lol. Didn't know it would ever resemble what it looked like before. It healed after four weeks but six weeks later I noticed a granular growth at the site, I went to see my doc and he said it didn't heal well. Gave me antibiotics and told me to apply tcp 6x daily, the growth opened and I saw a stich inside, apparently my body rejected a stitch.it was so uncomfortable. I sterilized a nail scissors and tweezers, gave my husband latex gloves and told him to help me remove the stitch which he did. 8 weeks post Partum and I am yet to resume bedroom activities. . I think my abdominal walls also separated cos my belly button still protudes and I feel a hard mass above my belly button. The doctor said it's umbilical hernia but I don't believe him though. That's my experience

I am reporting from the pregnancy thread
My son is 10 days old and cried all thru d night yesterday
He was extremely agitated even after being fed and changed.
Is it too early for him to have colic?
Also I have not been religiously taking hot pepper soup and uda. I have taken cold water on some occasions. Is this really bad?
My tummy has been going down on its own without hot water pressing tying. Does tying hasten d process?
My Lochia has almost stopped too. Is this normal after 10 days post Partum. I am still scared if tying my tummy as I can feel my uterus when I touch my tummy, l don't want to injure my self

I stay at elekahia my dear. U know i almost used obio, even went there for enquiries. I was discouraged by the crowd, heard their crowd is nt here at all. I know a lady that had to wait outside during labour as there was no space for her to deliver but i heard they are very good and their facilities are top notch. Hope u had a nice experience with them?
I'm beginning to regret nt using them oh, cuz everyone i know seems to prefer them.

The crowd there is not a joke
On ANC days I had to be there by 5.30am latest and I would still pick no. 45 or 60 sef
But on the good side their services were ok
The nurses were great but u hv to be patient.
The space thing is true cos when I got to d hospital during labour, there was no spare bed so I had to sit on a chair for most of d labour alongside like 5 other women. They had to discharge some mothers that had given birth a day before to create beds for us.
The main attraction to d place is that if u register for ANC before 3 months under any HMO with 20k u wldnt pay for delivery .
After I gave birth I took my ANC receipt to accounts and was cleated for discharge. I was also given drugs free.

Hahahaha. I used Obio Cottage Hospital. I don't know anyone that has used military hospital so I don't hv an idea. What part of ph r u @.

I think you should find out what made ur stitches open for d 3rd time.
I hope u are not sitting on hot water.
I was stitched too and was being forced to sit on on top of kitchen stool with my legs closed. I did that for 2 days and realized it worsend the episiotomy pains, I was bleeding from d site so I stopped. I try as much as possible to avoid sitting on hard surfaces since then.
Please check ur routine and if there's anything U should stop.

My mom has always told me that I would give birth before 40 weeks. That it is in our blood .
I scoffed it off but Sha packed my bag and made my delivery hair at 38 weeks.
My edd was 18th October, on 7th of Oct (Thursday night) dh and I had one unexpected quickie, around 1am I started having contractions, went to pee and saw the show . I went back to bed but couldn't sleep. I didn't want to alarm dh so I went to the sitting room and started consulting Google. Apparently it was false labour cos it stopped after a while.
The next day, (8th) I started having contractions again by 12am, told DH that we would go to d hospital by 5am. By 3am I couldn't hold it anymore. We took bag to the car. Started the car but e no gree start. Dh worked on it for like 20 mins before we called a neighbor to borrow his car. We got to our estate gate and it was locked. We called security and they asked us to follow back gate that the person with the key isn't around. We had to drive to d end of the estate and follow one back road.
We got to d hospital by 4am. I was checked and was 4cm dilated. I was admitted and I sent dh back home to go and fix his car. I was checked again by 10am, was 6cm by then till 12noon when I was given hot injection plus drip.
Sisters words cannot describe the fire that took over me.
I threw up.
I called God in all the languages I knew
They checked me I was still 6cm,they upped the dosage.
Jisox! I started rolling, at that point breathing exercises are useless. I was screaming out the pain. I was checked by 1.30pm, and was fully dilated. I was told to go to school delivery room. I don't even know how I ran to d bed.

I pushed and pushed and pushed, nothing
I was given oxytocin, the pain quadrupled. Nothing came out.
The doctor put her hand and stretched my VJ. I pushed till I could feel the babies head. Then came the cutting.
I felt every cm of the cut. Finally the baby came out, and she delivered the placenta.
I heard my babies cry and was satisfied.
They say once u see ur baby all the pains would be forgotten, izz a lie
When the doctor came back to clean me up, that one na another matter.
She put her hands in my uterus and started soaking up blood with pads. Chai! I felt like a cow that was being dismembered. Then came the stitching.
But I thank God I came out with my son.
I must also commend the person that delivered me because my lochia has almost stopped.
She soaked up most of the blood..
My son is worth every pain I feel.
To d remaining mamas God would give you grace to deliver without complications. Amen

My son made his grand entrance today by 1.59pm weighing 2.9kg via VD at 38w5d. Mother and son doing great.

I have learnt so much for instance, that it's possible I may not be given anesthetics after episiotomy... I also learnt that u could go thru labour for hours and end up having a CS. So just keep ur money down in case. Captain Feddy27 my mind is telling me that u will port to September

She asked a question and was answered appropriately. And I quote her "don't read and pass", a lot of mama's read and passed but a few took it upon themselves to answer her vividly. Why did other mama's not reassure her before she complained about the answers. What if everyone had kept quiet.
Jumayin mama no mama here derives pleasure in making u feel bad but experience and practice have taught plenty mama's here. The truth remains that the first reason u gave for opting out of VB is frivolous at best and mama's here answered you based on ur first post. No one knows what u discussed with your DH. If all mama's start treating serious posts with kid gloves or sugar coating the truth, I wonder if this thread would be as helpful as it has been.
