PROVACATEUR: onye isi ndi ara, America is still the world power and the reason why you feel they ve not won is because the rules of engagemnt in Iraq and Afghanistan differs from your conventional warfare. In the middle East, the US is only there to remove a *rogue* regime and instal their puppet then sell their weapon to their puppet to cover their expenses and protect their interest. The US allows their puppet to continue the war in order to gain popularity from the people who are anathema to foreign interest.
To your blind eyes the US lost the war in Iraq and Afghanistan but to the USA they achieve their own victory.

So I advice the igbos to be given birth to 15 to 20 children each family so that in 2050s they will have the population that will give them the power to hold nigeria @ ransome........ B4 biafra ignbos were every where in nigeria they took over almost all the sectors of govt economy and business do u know that ojukwus father b4 biafra was the richest person in africa? just imagine if biafra didn't take place... EUROBOMBER: I have carefully analysed recent events and taken time to study a lot of what happened before during and after the Biafran war.
The truth is that if the Igbos succeed in pulling out of Nigeria, the Niger Delta might not completely be part of the new country but they will definitely also seek to be on their own and manage their resources. This would effectively leave only the SW and the North in Nigeria. If it turns out this way, the Yorubas most likely would also gently ask to be left to be on their own. At the end of it all, we go our separate ways.
Let me quickly add here that Igbo land is much bigger than the Nigerian politically defined SE. Should Nigeria break today, all Igbo-speaking parts of the SS will be part of our new country. The Igbos will force no tribe to be part of us, we will accept those that want to stay with us and those that don't want to be with us will be free to stand on their own or join any other groups they so wish. I am saying this loud and clear so that some people will not come here and start shouting, "We are not part of your Biafra, leave us alone, leave our oil alone."
The Igbos can do very well without oil. There are many countries in the world without oil and are doing very fine. Germany is the most powerful economy in Europe today and they don't have a cup of crude oil there. Israel moved into a desert and converted it into a country very comfortable for habitation. The list is endless. Recent trends have also shown that oil is becoming worthless by the day. What really matters for a nation to be great is the quality of human resources available.
For the parts of the SS that would choose to be part of the new country, we can accept to run a regional system of government between the core Igbo states and parts of the Niger Delta. We can even accept a solution such that both regions would take 80% of revenue accrued within the regions and contribute 20% to the center. This the Niger Delta can never get in this present Nigeria.
For those people from the SS always shouting leave our oyel, I want to tell you that the Northerners are already drinking your oil and have even become drunk on it. You are shouting at Igbos to leave your oyel whereas Northerners are taking the same oil from under your nose and you can do nothing. How myopic and sentimental can some people be?
On a closing note, I believe in one Nigeria but one where there is justice, fairness & equity. For me, Buhari should hand over to an Igbo man if Igbos are truly part of Nigeria. We are part of the big three and too big to be ignored. BRILLIANT!!! |

seunmsg: An Ijaw man from River state who live in Bayelsa will naturally claim to be at home because the land indigenously belong to the Ijaws. If an Hausa man living in Yenagoa describe the place as a no man's land, all Ijaws irrespective of the state they came from will unanimously decry the Hausa man and defend their ownership of the land.
Yorubas have never stopped Igbos from contesting in Lagos. Do your research well and you will see that Igbos have been contesting elections in Lagos since the pre colonial era. Zik contested and won election in Lagos. As at today, about 5 Igbos are representing various federal constituencies in Lagos at the National assembly and nobody is making an issue out of it. So, I don't get where you get the idea that Yorubas are threatening Igbos who want to contest in Lagos from.
Finally, Lagos is a cosmopolitan city that welcomes everybody. Once you live in Lagos, irrespective of your tribe, you become a Lagosian same way anybody that lives in London is a Londoner. That does not mean the land is a no man's land. The yorubas are the indigenous owners of the Land and that should never be disputed. Where were you when the oba of lagoon threatened igbos who wanted to exercise their civic right of freedom of choice? Lagos is cosmopolitan in nature as such every one living there is a lagosian. Going by the same constitution, an osun man living in lagos has no more right than an imo person also living in lagos. Why will yolobas refer to as fellow citizen as visitors/immigrants in their own country? and you ask igbos to go back to igbo land? meanwhile you enjoy the tax money you reap from them. Such mentality and nonsense can only come from senseless and irritating yolobastards. How many times have SS people asked you yolobas to vacate the oil companies in the ND where they have virtually monopolized with your slave master? Yolobarrs are bunch of greedy, annoying and deceptive hypocrites |

seunmsg: Stop trying to compare apples with oranges. Lagos is an indigenous Yoruba state in Nigeria and nobody can dispute that fact. Bayelsa is also an indigenous Ijaw state in Nigeria and no other tribe can lay claim to the state.
When you talk of natural resources, the law of the country stipulates that they belong to the federation for the benefit of all parts of the country. Natural resources in Lagos, Ondo, Imo, Bayelsa, Kogi etc are mined and the proceeds shared among all states in the country. That we share resources found in different parts of the country doesn't mean we should refer to a land that is indigenous to a tribe as a no man's land. Lagos state generates over 70% of the VAT that is shared among all the states without Lagos even benefiting from the 13% derivation advantage that oil producing states enjoy. South east and south south states enjoy VAT proceed generated in Lagos and the state is not complaining. Very good! I mean brilliant! The same Nigerian constitution says that any Nigerian living in any part of the country should be seen as Nigerian first and not Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa man. Why are you yolobas claiming lagos? ogun man will claim lagos, ditto osun, ekiti etc, why dont you all claim oyo state/ibadam? Same constitution also stipulates that you are eligible to contest elections if you have lived in any part of the country for a certain number of years. So why were Yoruba threatening Igbo that qualified to contest election in Lagos even when its obvious they meet the criteria?. Nice try but sorry...your logic is flawed |

If you don't, then LAGOS HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO BE A NO MAN'S LAND!! Exactly! this was what i said earlier in a thread today. WombRaiders: It is not for financial exigency but because a split in between the south and north has always been postponed.
The events of the last 4yrs have truly opened the eyes of the average Niger Deltan who bought the lie that Ibos are the enemy to watch out for when it was the North and Yorubas that are their main enemy.
Yorubas know they don't have any goodwill with the Niger Delta people anymore talk more of their arch enemies the Ibos.
The Yoruba is very afraid of a Balkanized Nigeria because they know it is every man for himself in the south and that they blew any form of unity with the Niger Delta when they aligned with the north to vote out Goodluck.
The Niger Delta will rather have a form of republic with the Ibos than with them and that makes them all alone inNigeria with their northern masters who will never let them leave, Once again God bless you. @bolded, Because they are lazy leeches feeding on ND oil proceeds. Go to the major oil companies in SS, it is them and their Hausa slave masters that dominate the top echelons of management, yet no one screams blue murder...but here in lagos bad belle will not allow them leave igbos alone. The bottled up anger and bitterness was so deep that the mumu oba of lagoon had to threaten Igbos with death for daring to excerise their civic duty of freedom of choice, and yet the same hateful people will accuse Nnamdi KANU of hate campaign, whereas the said Nnamdi kanu has never asked or urged any Igbo man to carry gun or knives, or to attack, maim or kill anyone. Yoruba are the problem of Nigeria....sanusi lamido |
Politics › Re: On South South And Biafra.. An Urhobo's View by belzabull(f): 10:08am On Jul 15, 2015 |
WombRaiders: Shatap! What do you know about Urhobos and Delta as a whole?
Delta is a model state in Nigeria when it comes to unity.
We have had an Urhobo, Itsekiri and now an Igbo governor. Does that not tell you we have been able to rise above petty ethnic sentiments?
The only time there was problem in Delta was the Warri crisis which had Awolowo's divisive legacy and hand all over it but we have since put that behind us especially between the Itsekiris and Urhobos. The Ijaws are still angry but that doesn't mean they are excluded.
So from this perspective you must appreciate that Deltans (Urhobos inclusive) are not ethnic baboons like you in the Southwest.
Apart from the Delta Ibos, Delta is host to Ibos from other states without any problem.
So don't come preaching your nonsense here.
Also you should appreciate which region and state that developed the local pidgin language. This pidgin language came out from the Nuger Delta because the different tribes that lived side by side where in peace with each other and none dominated the other so the need for this lingua Franca.
So don't come here and undermine the unity and solidarity of the different people's that make up the Niger Delta especially in Delta state - the big heart state. God bless you for this comment. I could kiss you this moment. Its a known fact to any discerning mind that Yoruba are the most tribalsitic and hateful things on earth. Even all the divisive tendencies you see on social media are being stoked and fuelled by them to create acrimony between SE & SS, and most times they disguise as SS to carry out this mischief and treachery. Very annoying and bitter people. Its only a yoloba man that will tell you Niger oil money belongs to Nigeria but Lagos belongs to Yorubas alone. No wonder even a Hausa man said it "Yoruba are the problem of Nigeria"- sanusi lamido |
