You ignoring his clarification. When asked directly whether he meant Black people thrive under subjugation, he said no and called that system bad and evil. So it is dishonest to claim he was defending Jim Crow.

It is literally in your own post.

A fair criticism is that his wording was provocative at best. But provocative wording is not the same as racism oga. He was asking why some social indicators, like violent crime and break-ins, were reportedly better in the 1940s than later decades.

You can challenge his data or his explanation, but calling him racist after he explicitly rejected the racist interpretation is just race-baiting.

I have been making arguments like this long before the jubilee debate became a thing.

What happened to the black family structure? Why is black lives matter against the nuclear family?

Once someone clarifies that they are not praising oppression, the honest move is to debate the data and causation not keep pretending they said the thing they denied.
