The NVRA (National Voter Registration Act) law is clear. There can not be any work done on voter rolls 90 days before an election.
The reason is because Voting should be sacrosanct and there wouldn't be enough time to fix any errors if a person legally eligible to vote was kicked off.
The Supreme Court knew the law that Congress wrote and overrode it.
That is not their job. They have moved from interpreting law to outright deciding which laws they want to follow and which laws they don't.
