I serve as a teacher in a mixed secondary school in a rural area. From my observation of - and interaction with - the students, I discovered that they are much more interested in farming than in education. They purposely skip classes, especially on pre-market and market days. They come to school without books, fail to do their assignments, and are highly passive learners. On the other hand, I’d say that the authorities fuel the students’ action by mandating the teachers to promote them even when they fail. It has indeed been a challenging and unforgettable experience with me as a trained teacher. – Chioma Amadi | Delta


My PPA is wonderful. I teach in an
all-girls secondary school. Teaching students who have a terrible or no solid educational background could be frustrating! I have students who don’t see beyond the present, and a school administration that could care less. Teachers are working
with so much restrictions from the

I admire the spirit, and the level of hope, with which the admission seekers this year are being expectant! And I'm not here to paralyze it.

But we shouldn't just assume dat the Universities will reduce their cut off marks for Post UME becos a small percentage of those who wrote JAMB dis year scored above 200.

Which school would want to reduce its standard (with all d pride in 9ja schools), seeing again that those who wrote d exam dis year are perceived to be inferior students??

If schools like UNILAG will have their way, they'd increase theirs to 220 and above (lol sch of 1st choice and the nation's pride - it isn't easy). That's what I'm talking about! So, even as you hope, seek other alternatives.

The MAT419 exam was worser than others.. ***I heard this one just recently.
