If he is a billionaire in Naira that's about $5 million (not based on black market exchange rates), that is an achievable goal if one puts their mind to it and perseveres. Let us all not be all talk and no game! ![]() |
Your LinkedIn post is great! But not just because you have directed it at graduates. This post is also good for those who want to start building a business online and want to mingle with those who can help them move up and beyond. For those who are looking to be online professionals this post is definitely for you |
There are literally thousands but you would want to go wish an affiliate program that has plenty of products to choose from and that allows Nigerians to participate equally with payment solutions that make it easy for you to collect your earnings each month. Since I have found many times when I have given recommendations to other Nairalanders the MODs have not totally agreed with me putting the links in my posts so I suggest you email me. and I will give you a list of providers. I think you need to be a bit more open with what it is all about, so an air of trust can flow around the Nairalanders who show interest. Give out more details maestro2000: |
Interesting concept but please correct me if I am wrong but this sounds like a pyramid scheme Where does the money come from to pay these new recruits? "What exactly are they paying for? How and where do they get paid? What is the companies name and how long have they been around? Do they have a website and contact details we can check out? |
Hello JesuspikinM There are so many ways to start generating traffic to your site. First are you familiar with keyword research? Because search engine traffic is really the most important type of traffic online. If done properly you can have the most targeting traffic flowing to your offerings i.e. people who really want what your offing on your site Just in case you are not familiar keywords are words that you put into your website to attract targeted traffic. When people go to search engines and type that particular word or phrase your website will be on that list. How high you rank depends on the popularity of the keyword or keyphrase and how relevant the search engines deems your content. The idea here is that you want people coming to your site who truly want what your offering. If you want to find some good keywords you could check out some of your competitors website see what keywords they are using. There are many resources that can help you do this Traffic Travis is a good one. Another thing you can consider is start general discussions in forums and blogs then direct people to helpful posts on your website that relate to that topic. Make sure your content is always fresh and your an authority in what you talk about so that people can rely on the advice you give. Put a signature link to your website in all your posts in forums and blogs - this isn't a rush job but after time if done consistently can give you a huge following. Social media every body knows this right? go there, be useful. you must only engage two types of people in order not to make social media a complete waste of time. those who love your content and those who buy your stuff; that's it. No hard sell. that is a turn of to people in social media social. I think the two best social media platforms for you would be Pinterest and LinkedIn Have you submitted you site to search engines. if you haven't I suggest you do then you can avail yourself of that sites other SEO services that's if you are totally new at keyword researching. There are of course places that allow you to pay for hits to your sites they can bring you thousands of visitors, but be careful though all traffic isn't equal, I learnt this the hard way when I was new to internet marketing. There is even such thing as traffic you don't want! If you dedicate time to consistently doing this properly it will reward you handsomely with a flow of enviably targeted traffic. Hi Eccentrica I find it interesting that though you have a news blog you want to just focus on AdSense to generate money. If your news blog generates enough traffic hits per day you can consider affiliate marketing. Just in case you are not familiar affiliate marketing is where you promote somebody else's offerings on your website then get commission when a person via your affiliate links subscribes or buys. Focus on niches that will compliment the news on your site, things that your readers genuinely want and need. Don't be afraid to promote big ticket items, its a fact in affiliate marketing that a product of $50,000 can sometimes sell more than a product that sells for $4000. Just remember that the product must be of very high quality something you would promote even if you were not getting paid for it. Think of affiliate programs that have 2+ tiers that means that when people join underneath you get paid from their efforts at least 2 levels down. You could also consider subscription based affiliate programs like web hosting, that way you can grow real residual income over time that is truly sustaining. I personally thing your website is ready for AdSense now it appears to have a reasonable amount of content on it. If you do have a good share of visitors you can sell advertising space, but like I said it has to be products and services that your readership truly need. Not just something that will make you money. As soon as users start smelling sales copy they may lose trust. Don't put up stuff on your blog unless it truly compliments why your readers visit your site in the first place. I wish you all the best in your newspaper endeavours ![]() Ben Ajose Eccentrica: |
Hi treasurehand Great post. Many people don't have the work ethic or will to do the things that it takes to become a success. But what many don't realize is these traits can be learnt and you don't need to be some kind of bionic superhuman to do it. Over the years ordinary people have been achieving extra ordinary things just by changing the way they think. Leaders are reader! ![]() Ben Ajose |
Hi jerflakes I know it seems a little worrying but this issue of discussion has been around for a while now and since WordPress blogs in general don't have ecommerce you should not get overly anxious about it. Most WordPress blogs if they are making any money are doing so via affiliate programs and paid advertising, so no payments are processed on there sites. So if a hacker does steal a password what is he going to do with it? Steal your articles? Relax be easy. Hackers, if they want to can get into any website in the world no organization is immune not even NASA. But the probability is remote. But in reality its not a big threat, just some scare mongering. Hi Nairalanders My name is Ben Ajose. I have had 18 years of internet experience and I've been involved in professional currency trading, internet and affiliate marketing and web development. This is for those who want to learn how to make money online and who genuinely want to invest the time to know how and do it properly. Don't be fooled by sweet talkers there is no such thing as instant riches with no little investment of time or energy on the internet. If you want to make money online you have to treat your online objectives like a business. if you treat it like a hobby you will get hobby money! But there are definite paths to success, even for those with little experience the key is learn, grow, market your business and stay focused. Ask what every questions you may have - no question is too silly. and I will answer them to the best of my ability. Ben Ajose ![]() |
What is your business? What are your offerings? |
I thoroughly agree You offer people an opportunity to grow good money but most people find every objection in the world, not to take part. The education systems are responsible for this. They train people to be wage earners who are satisfied with mediocrity The few of us who break away from that life limiting psychology are the ones who will grow and earn. I wish you all much life transforming financial success! ![]() Ben Ajose RickRichards: |
Hi chiemmaxy2 If you can put together a decent website you will need to canvass for customers. Best place is online because people online are more aware of the value of website design. Charge small to start of with say no more than 12 - 15k just so the market can get to know you. websites you want to focus on building are mobile websites, blogs and membership sites (if you can handle PHP well) Start of putting together WordPress blogs for people and registering email accounts so as not to confuse your situation as you learn the ropes. Get a robust hosting platform, I use SmartWeb.com.ng but you Go to forums with a signature announcing your business, blog and do SEO for a website you have built for yourself is important people wont take you seriously unless they can see past work. Go onto social media platforms and get into discussions with people who can be potential customers, not just web design groups but small business owners, no hard selling just tell them what you do and continue you discussion on related issues. Remember at your age getting consistent customers will be a little tricky but if you can show people real ability with time you will be fine. Ben Ajose |
Hi efemicheal Out of curiosity what is the name of the domain host that is charging just N1,600 per year? ![]() Ben Ajose |
I have not heard much about Konga's affiliate program, people don't talk about it. Does it pay you for referrals down two levels two Just curious I already have a robust program I am part of ![]() Ben Ajose |
If you remember you applied, then what's the worry? Go for the interview! |
There are many more besides those you spoke of. I am part of one that has been making millionaires in dollars for the last 17 years, ranked number one income program in the States. Some of the ones you mentioned are cool too and generate good money for people. ![]() |
Hi CoachNehes Does the company you are promoting have a proven track record? Is the money making scheme based on gambling, if so there is no true way you can guarantee continuous monthly income even worse people could lose money. Since it is just launched there is no one to tell you that they have actually made money from this program. When it comes to on and offline business people seeking easy quick money will be the first to get suckered...sorry. I wish you all the best in your online financial journeys Ben CoachNehes: |
I know of people who haven't been paid for 15 months straight. I mean this seams to be standard procedure for some government jobs too. Why suffer yourself? Do what I and many others do, grow an online part time business with people who know how to generate a living online and that you can do in an hour or so each day while your boss is messing you about. Soon you will make enough money to decide whether you will stay with that boss or leave. It is an employers market in Nigeria, that's why they can do things like this - don't allow people to hold your finances hostage by refusing to pay you just because they think you can't get better anywhere else. Ben Ajose |
I totally agree, some banks don't bother they just spring these ideas on you - then give you a headache when you say you don't want to participate in yet another hair brained security measures scheme the banks have cooked up that you know crooks will find a way round in no time at all. I new from the outset that all this BVN crap will not stop fraudsters, they will find a way to steal from people, All the BVN is is a major irritations for regular folks who just want to bank legitimately. kallmemrB: |

Hi marin63 Notice you are hosting your site on a sub domain. You may find that many people will not take a site built on a free platform seriously; unless of course it is your domain. Even if it is it is not immediately obvious and many people wont ask you. You can get robust webhosting for a year for N2,500 that is well worth the investment How to grow residual income If you are looking to generate money why not search for affiliate services that compliment what your offering on your site and are subscription based that way you can grow yourself residual income over time. I can't help but notice that there are a few important pages missing on your site. Where is the about us page, the contact page, how it works page, and terms and cons, privacy policy etc. These pages will help build trust among your growing audience. SEO If you want to start generating traffic you need to learn how to do robust SEO and keyword research which are the holy grail of internet traffic. I would give you a link to a few resources to help you along but the last time I did that I got band for a week so I wont try. Think about giving out freebies and useful usable content that will attract people in your niche. People on the internet are always looking for info to help improve their lives, careers etc. and everybody loves a freebie right? But you may also consider newsfeeds if you don't have any content of your own, search engines want good content in order to improve your page ranking among other things. Patience and perseverance All in all if you want your site to be a success you are going to need to invest time (and a little money) to continuously improve it and yourself and not run off to a new project just because your getting bored of this one. That is one of the many reasons why so many people don't have successful websites, no patience, no effort. Just a few things to get you going. ![]() Ben Ajose |
Is it just for employers? What kind of traffic do you get for those who are searching for something? |
Please Oga you must not look at this as if you are being attacked, which is what I fear is happening right now. You know that many people who are quizzing you right now just want to know more, to make sure they don't get suckered - its happens I am sure you know that. They may end up being profitable members of your team, so be cordial nobody knows what tomorrow will bring ![]() A lesson I learned years ago - never get into flame wars on a forum you are using to promote your business opportunity it doesn't look good for you and it inadvertently paints your business in a unhealthy light. |
