What's stopping Fashola, Ambode, Agbaje, Obanikoro, Bode George, and some big men in Lagos like Otedola to come together, keep their party differences aside, and wrestle Lagos from this greedy man who thinks Lagos is his private estate. I have no doubt Lagosians are tired of his control of the state! If it means Ambode joining PDP with the support of these guys, let him do it. He has done well and deserve a second term to finish up his good work!

Enugu remains to me the most underrated city in Nigeria. If you haven't lived there, you will never understand. I have lived in Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Enugu, Enugu remains my number city...in everything: road network, calm/peace, traffic light, cleanliness, friendly and sensible people, pro sport and fitness, mountains and hills, lush vegetation/greenery and most importantly the people have a sense of belonging and pride for their city; as in "042"

[s]I hope Ipob supporters will advice Ipob leaders to reduce all this sit-at-home if they don't reduce it. time will come when people will start getting tired of it then majority of people will not obey the order again .Ipob should not be carried away with the past successful sit-at-home order.
this is the same way Nnamdi Kanu was carried away he forget the main reason people was supporting him. [/s]

Afonja, Must you always carry Igbo/Biafra for head? They swear for una and Igbo? If you want to be Igbo, just say it. But sorry, you can never be Igbo in this lifetime; never!

There is something about Yoruba people that most us don't understand. There is a way they reason, whether this is based on tradition or in their DNA, time will tell. A typical yoruba man doesn't give a damn if something is happening to other people; he doesn't care AT ALL. But as soon as that thing start happening to his own, he automatically start caring and talking about it. Conversely, Igbos are very proactive, if something is happening to anybody, they take note, stand against it, BECAUSE NATURALLY they know If we don't do anything, it might also happen to us. Try reasoning with a yoruba man why all the ports in SS and SE are not functional? why only Lagos ports are working? He will try to give you all the excuses in the world. Like a guy I was discussing this with, he went from A to Z, then I said Segun, but Kaduna dry port is working nah. Segun stopped and looked at me like an Idiot! Nah so the argument stopped. Other tribes are taking note of your behavior when the chickens start coming home to roost!

Politics / Re: Igbo Women As Good Patriots - Opinion. by benben1000: 3:48am On Sep 09, 2018
MayorofLagos:
[s]In response to this article, it must be said that prior to a Nigeria, Ibo women did not have much social rights to begin with. The most obvious of social and cultural privileges were denied to them by the customary laws and ethos of Iboland itself.

Since the begining of Nigeria, incremental improvrments have been made to improve civilization and social norms of Ibo, latest of which was passed very recently by Supreme Court recognizing, in opposition of Ibo culture, that women can inherit their deceased spouse and daughters can inherit their deceased fathers.

These push to civilize and bring the group to modernity is typically championed by civilized groups external to it. The British for instance introduced Ibo to urban settlement. They also gave it centralized administration with introduction of warrant chiefdoms. But it's the Yorubas that have played a larger role as surrogate and taught the Ibo a standard of its language and helped promote cohesion among previously disparate and non-relating communities. Yoruba also brought and instituted Christianity into their midst and which helped to shape and refined the custom towards modern civilization. When osus in Iboland discovered that what is denied to them and forbidden for their children were accessible without condition or status in Yorubaland, they began a new wave of migration to escape persecution in East and find liberty in West for them and their children. The migration continues till today. Many Ibo elite today gained social status change in Yorubaland and fearful of returning to East and stripped of their liberty, have vowed never to return to Iboland.

So Ibos have capacity to change their fortune and that of their land by simply acting within its own customs to redefine and rebrand for modern civilization and stop waiting on outsiders to give it relief against self-defeating and non-advancing static existence[/s].

Typical Afonjas and obsession with Igbo women are like 5 and 6. I have told them time and time again, Igbo women are only loyal to Igbo men and men of other tribes or races who they see, show, possess and provide the same confidence, masculinity, strength, bravery, security, protection, work ethic, honesty, finance and wealth as Igbo men. All of the qualities I mentioned above, will make any women of any race submit to their man. So don't think any man or any idiot can make her submit. Go on youtube and see other African women saying how they are attracted to Igbo men.

The Igbos have one of the lowest divorce rates in Nigeria, and if tallied globally they will be ranked way up there with Jews and Mormons, courtesy of their family structure. Coincidently, Dr. Thomas Sowell wrote in his book the reason why Jews, Mormons, Igbos, Chinese are very successful is because of their superb, bullet proof family structure. Conversely, Yorubas have the highest divorce rate in Nigeria and will be ranked top 10 in the world. Most Yoruba families are headed by women! I grew up in SW, so I know very well! Which is why the their men are running to Igbo women to achieve family stability which is very naive of their men because Igbo men raised these Igbo women, SO WHY ARE THEY NOT RAISING THEIR OWN WOMEN GOOD ENOUGH LIKE IGBO WOMEN? Why would Yoruba women respect you if you are behaving like this? I wasn't surprised when I saw that video of Yoruba women wanting Igbo men. If I were Yoruba woman, I'll want Igbo men too to be honest!

This is what in coming in Afonjaland. MURIC is taking note and wants the same as soon as Oduduwa is achieved. The Yoruba elite who are largely Muslims will endorsed it. One Nigeria is the saving grace of yorubas. Most Yorubas know this and that's why they want it to continue, not for good reasons but for their protection. Don't forget Oni of Ife just recieved over 100 million dollars in proposed investments from Middle East. You think it's for free? All these things are being planned out!

Sarrki, I hope you are not critical of China's decision. Nobody forced Zimbabawe to borrow from China using federal infrastructure to secure the loan in case they default. Now they are in default, China is taking their federal assets in ACCORDANCE TO THE TERMS OF THE LOANS. I'm sure the loans offered to Nigeria as well have fine prints where federal assets such as infrastructure and natural resources such as oil block are used as collateral. Likewise Lagos debt of over $2 billion are secured with state assets including state government house. Don't be surprised if all these banks Lagos borrowed from come after Lagos assets if they default on the loans.

Afonjas now...the way they look at you when you attempt to tamper with their One Nigeria.

All negative posts against the militants above and below, even those posters with Igbo names are afonjas. They cleverly use Igbo names to attack militants, so that when the militants/Niger Deltans see it, they will say "oh these Igbo people are against us." to continue the division in the Eastern Region, and the circle continues...while they enjoy Niger Delta oil and huge SW allocations. You see these afonjas...they are like red snakes!
