Skooltynz: I have peace of mind since I stopped this two things 1) going to church 2)trying hard to impress people
Most of these modern churches don't have God In them, it's just business and slavery, they set up these churches for the sole purpose of profit tithes, offering and the members are slaves or stepping stones, they keep pressuring you to bring more members to the church in guise of soul winning you will just waste all your time and productive years if you are not careful.
As for the latter, you can never impress people impossible! Stop trying to impress people because it is an endless journey you want to embark on,you will never impress them, I personally don't give a damn! Sometimes last year a lot of my friend and family members always insult me saying I am lazy and ambition less they say it the reason why I am not doing well in life . I heard their advice and became hardworking God willing things started to change for me financially ,money started coming in,did you know most of these my friends and family started becoming envious and jealous ,these are the same people that always advise me in the past now what happened? My observation about people is that humans love bad news more than good news, people will more excited to hear you went to steal and got caught than to hear you bought a new car,so why worry yourself over people who are mostly sadists ...
My Bro, I agree with you wella, especially no. 2. But you see that number one, it depends on what you want and where you have been going. If na Anglican, Catholic, Methodist, Protestant etc go give you joy, pls locate one and worship your God since it is like Pentecostal no favour you. But pls don't stay away from God completely..
2cribz: Stupid design, have u ever zeen a pickup with 4 tyres.must be a dead one. How can 3 tyres balance comfortably on this keke.e suppose get 5 tyres. Accident loading
You know, you could have made this post without the word "stupid" and still pass the message across.
reiddecuti: Death is bad. It's one thing you never wish to anyone, not even onto your enemies.
Death forces boys to become men by force, shouldering responsibilities they never attained for.
Not wrong.
It happened when my cousin was getting married. His dad, my uncle had passed a long time ago, almost 30yrs. We were all very young then. My dad, his younger brother also passed on as well 2 other uncles.
It was my younger brother, a more younger person to my cousin who was getting married, that stood in as his father.
jetguy: This life sha... Once I heard the News like this, the next question that used to hit my ina-chester is, why we dey even struggle for this life sef to the extent that people get mind to kill their fellow men because of money
Ohizman73: Pls house is this a foreign sim asuch.as it came with the used phone given to me as a gift from a us based friend.

CJStarz: Oya, follow me make we go back....to those days wey dem dey tie sweet and coloured ice cream in waterproofs.,....those days of Treetop juice and Planta Butter.....those days of Black and White Sanyo and National TV.....those days wey we dey go school without sandals......those days wey we dey eat 3 square meals in a day.......those days when there was no kidnapping or banditry......Oh my dear, let's go back to those good old days when one lived peaceably with his or her neighbour, when a child belongs to the community to raise......those days of no Akpabio and Tinubu in power....... May the good Lord help Nigerians in Jesus Name
Chai! Those good old days o!
Thank you for bringing this feeling of nostalgia.
You are indeed from my generation, as you wrote this without insulting anyone or cursing anybody's father.
Smitaro100: Since d day I caught a lady running a restaurant scratching inside her asshole vigorously with her long nails with most of d feaces stuck inside her finger nails, without washing her hands she continued cooking.. that's y I so much dislike ladies fixing long nails..
Bro, 1.you caught her scratching her ......... vigorously, 2. You saw her long nails 3. After scratching vigorously, you saw faeces on the long nails.....
Was she cooking naked that she could easily scratch vigorously and bring out faecal matter or at the point she needed to scratch she took off her underwear and used her long nails to scratch?
Senioreddy: 10M is too small for one to take the risk of being a surrogate mother. Imagine carrying the pregnancy for 9months and then release the child to an unknown person with the clause of not coming in contact with the child. Abeg reason it well. Is 10m enough. It becomes worst when the child grows and becomes a notable figure. Imagine the torture
Hian! Surrogate wan come drag pikin with the mama and papa wey produce egg and sperm to form the pikin after dey don pay am money just to help the carry the pregnancy? Ohhh!
No matter how notable or otherwise, whether the child becomes a menance to the society (Heavens forbid) it is no business of the surrogate.
How many times have International airlines been held responsible for flying a terrorist into another country or praised for bringing in a vaccine that saved lives?
NairaOcean: Viral photos of a man with his wife and two kids wearing matching outfits have caught people's attention. One remarkable aspect of the photo is that the kids are extremely fair-skinned, while the parents have a chocolate complexion.
The question now, Is DNA Still Needed?
My Bro, have you considered the possibility of albinism in the their genetics?
Crenzywilliams: Nigerian secondary schools gave become death traps, where was the house master all along, so no one student was brave enough to tell an authority figure, and the house master never visited his hostel for a period of 8 hours?
Tho I've been more of a better writer than a speaker, right from time.....The worst of it all is that I come dey ride keke join......You can imagine the high level of rubbish English I encounter on a daily basis . Agbero just turn me to their colleague due to how they speak...
080cee: Sometime in 2020 just immediately after Covid lockdown, my father got a call from a certain “Williams Williams” as identified by Truecaller… he claimed to be from his bank without mentioning a particular banks name. During the cause of their conversation about BVN linkage my father asked “what is your name”? the criminal said Mattew from your bank. Again my father asked “Why then is Truecaller showing your name as Williams Williams then he replied “ I didn’t register the line with my real name” immediately my father said Call me with the bank Line and we can finish the conversation…. Until today we are still waiting for his call.. Living in a society filled with scammers, it’s essential everyone both young and old make use of Truecaller for true identity of their callers.
That scammer get respect for elders so he did not insult your Dad. The ones I have encountered always end the calls with insults ( one even insult my papa wey don pass on since). Me I will be like "me and you who suppose insult each other"?
KillIgbohoN0W: No medical personnel in the world claims to raise the dead unlike your dear herbalist.
I feel sad when I come on Nairaland hoping to have a discussion and I see posts and reactions like this. What is your justification for adding "your dear hebalist" to your response?
KillIgbohoN0W: So what did the herbalist tell his followers after he failed to revive him??
I've always been curious about things like this and hope to find myself in such scenario because I will boldly ask the herbalist/cleric/pastor if he/she is powerless.
For you to attempt to revive him means your deity assured you it was capable. Failing to revive him means your deity is either powerless or fake.
Simple.
Pls do not be in a hurry to say such. Not because I patronize them but because reading your post, I was wondering if you would say medical science is powerless if someone taken to a medical practitioner does not make it out alive.
LocalStandard1: I decided to post this as I noticed a total mental, emotional and general transformation about myself after being off Nairaland for literally months. first long time off since I discovered the forum more than a decade ago. Maybe you too can learn something.
- NIGERIA--- Firstly not reading real time news about Nigeria and knowing what goes on in the country and what happens or doesn't has made me realize it is Nigerians and there "leaders" that are the biggest problems with a very negative view point about everything and each other. The opportunities everywhere are very immense and with a population of well over 200 million there are no limits and only very few can match the market . Being too engulfed with Nairaland has a way of brainwashing you to believe you're better off leaving Nigeria and life is better anywhere else but here.
-TRIBAL AFFILIATED SENTIMENTS--- I just bought a business from an Igbo person, he trusted I would do better and trusted me from Kaduna State even more than two other interested candidates who're of his tribe, maybe even same State of origin. Consciously or unconsciously every Nairaland members is almost far gone on tribal bigotry, every. And I have learned the most ignorant but very dangerous people are tribal bigots and jingoists. Nairaland recruits them and sustains them, they're so far gone they would never know how much.
- SELF HATE --- The most racism on Black People you can find is among Nairaland members, nobody hates Black people in general and Africans in particular like Nairalanders and Nigerians. What makes it overwhelming is they themselves are both Black people and Africans. The self-hate and self-demeaning nature is so shocking I begin to wonder "should I fight the Whites and Asians against racism and educate them about African and Black people's history or fight and educate fellow Nigerians first?"
Coupled with the fact the White-worship on Nairaland is something I've never seen anywhere else other than among other Nigerians in person. Everyone want some kind of White-approval online I begin to wonder "are they writing this comment or post for some foreigners here? "
- "GENDER WARS"--- One of the most pitiable state you can be in is being a gender warrior and I thought only young guys here are gender warriors till I realize even married women here too seem to engage in it and by extension looking like they disdain their so-called "husbands", and I pray the singles just remain that way so as not to burden someone else with such unfounded venom. I pity and I fear! Nairaland promotes, encourages, sustains and feeds on the hate of the other gender you're not one of. It seems like only for laughs but it is actually pitiable, sorry state of mind.
-THE STATS SHOWS HOPE --- I am satisfied when I looked at the Nairaland stats and saw that a majority of the members no longer come online, with less than 1,700 online at any given time of day, it shows majority are tired and want no part in what seems to be comfortably pushed.
I think Nairalanders most realize you can never win the internet, and it is not healthy for any aspect of your life this intense internet negativity you project but it takes from you more than you know and far more than you will ever admit.
Trust me, I very much know. Better luck! .....
I totally agree with you. These days, lot of the posts and comments on Nairaland make me wonder if they were written by adullts or minors. It breaks my heart when I read posts of supposed adults abusing parents and running down the opposite gender.
Some people are so disrespectful that I wonder if they will be able to say some of the things they say here to the people they say them to if they meet up with them.
