Yesterday being Sunday, so I went to a match viewing center to watch the football game between tottenham hotspur and Everton... After the first half came to an end, an argument arose between an old man and a young man..The argument was all about the merits and ills of polygamy.. The old man's opined that a man who's married to many wives will have lesser marital Problems than a man who's married to one wife..

While the young man was of a counter opinion, insisting on the fact that a man who has only one wife will always have his peace of mind intact

Well, I was just sitting aloof, sipping my black fearless small small . ...But then I thought about a similar scenario happening to my uncle who has only one wife... Their marriage has been blessed with five sons,and of course my uncle is a very well-to-do man...And out of their five sons,three of them studied abroad...

So after my uncle's retirement from the oil company he was working,he sat his wife down and had a discourse with her that he'd love to sell his port harcourt duplex so that he can use the money to build a house in his village here in Delta state...But his wife refused, insisting that everything that my uncle has worked hard to achieve belongs to her son's,that my uncle Shouldn't even dare think of selling anything....That has resulted to a serious pandemonium in their home..And of which my uncle has threatened to divorce her..But his wife has kept on threatening my uncle that she'd wreck my uncle if he should dare divorce her .

The wahala has even deteriorated from bad to worse to the extent that their sons has taken sides with their mom..... One time self,they all ganged up and beat their father .

My uncle has filed papers to a customary court,to divorce the marriage, because all the previous efforts he had made to take his bride price from his in-laws have proved abortive as they have been dribbling my uncle . He has vowed to sell everything,his shopping mall,his hostels,his other two storey buildings.....I even heard him complaining to my popsman that his wife has started to sell his cars and other things he left in his house..... Imagine someone who has different storey buildings now has to be a tenant in a two-bedroom apartment..

At this moment,my uncle has been plunged into a state of so much regrets,that if he had heeded to the advice of his kinsmen back then when they were advising him to marry a second wife,this wouldn't be happening to him .

Whether ten wives, one wife or even half a wife, the number is insignificant. It is the personality of the individual(s), character etc that matter.

A man that gets married to 2 wives with bad character and very troublesome with no regard for him and the man with one wife with the same traits will be telling each other "sorry" when they meet and share their stories.

Wait first o, what about the artist that did it on the baby? Shouldn't he take part of the blame? This their work no get ethics?

You made a mistake, it is not the end of your life. Just imagine what the girl involved will be going through now and in addition to that, she receives word that you have ended your life. Who will give her moral support? Who will encourage her? How do you think she unborn child will feel when he is born and he hears all these?

What about your family and friends? How will dey feel?

Admit your mistake and move on. It will be hard but it can happen.

I decided to create this thread and help shine light on possible causes of why she is bedwetting and solutions she should try her hands on.

Is Bedwetting Normal for Adults?

Many are of the view that bedwetting happens to children only. Also known as nocturnal enuresis, bedwetting is also a nocturnal problem that adults can grapple with. About 2% of adults still wet their beds. Grown-ups can wake up to bed sheets soaked with their urine and deal with the embarrassment that follows.

Causes

There are many causes that could lead an adult into bedwetting. They include the following:

Hormonal Imbalance: The body produces antidiuretic hormone (ADH) to signal the body to produce less urine at night. When its secretion is imbalanced, the volume of urine produced will be too much for the bladder to hold, hence, the involuntary urination and wetting the sheets.

Diabetes: When the pancreas doesn't secret enough insulin to process ingested glucose, it increases urine production and bedwetting at night.

Alcohol/Caffeine Intake: Alcohol and caffeine are diuretic in nature. They cause huge production of urine. Taking alcohol or caffeinated drink before hitting the hay leads to increased volume of urine than the bladder can hold.

Weak Bladder Control: Children before the age of 5 are known to wet their beds because they don't have a strong control of their bladder. Some grown-ups still don't have a firm grip on their bladder movement. Consequently, this makes them have urinary incontinence at night.

Genetics: If a parent or relative had similar bedwetting issue, their is a huge chance that a child sharing similar family history will replicate it.

Other causes are urinary tract infection, small bladder size, and prostate gland enlargement.

Treatments

Limit liquid intake at night: Hours before going to bed, ensure that you do not to drink water or any liquid content. This ensures that your bladder is relatively empty before bed.

Avoid Caffeinated or Alcoholic Drinks at Night: Giving alcoholic and caffeinated drinks a wide berth at night enables your body to produce less urine. A moderate amount of urine that your bladder can hold back while you sleep will be produced.

Empty Your Bladder Before Sleeping: Before you go to bed, make sure that you urinate so as to have your bladder almost empty.

Take Anti-diabetic Drugs: Taking anti-diabetic helps secrete insulin to process the body glucose and lower urine production at night.

There you have it! From the treatments discussed above, one can see that it takes lifestyle adjustment to nip bedwetting as a grown up in the bud.

The sheer lack of discipline to turn a new leaf coupled with a weak bladder control mostly results in bedwetting for adults.

Note that applying these treatment tips may not be effective instantly but they will surely work as time goes on.

I hope adults still bedwetting will learn one or two things from this write-up and arrest their nocturnal iniquity.

This is the second time this is happening within a space of six (6) month and I have decided to end our 4 years relationship which started when I was in my penultimate year at the University.

Honeypie, trust me, if you call off this wedding and save your life, people will talk o, call you names, your mumsie and her sisters will be sad, even cry, but give them six months max, the matter will no longer be an issue.

It is only a person that is alive that can file for divorce o. Pls do not be part of the statistics.

Good morning happy people of nairaland. I will try to be brief as possible. During the lock down my elder brother was seriously ill, we all thought it normal malaria and typhoid but getting to the hospital he was diagnosed of kidney diseases at it last stage(CKD).we all brace up and gave him all the support needed during the stage from one dialysis section to another something thrice a week. It became worse and no improvement at sight, I literally do all thing for him, from bathing to feeding and carry him around the hospital but he faith he will come out of it. During the process he used all of his life saving to the extend of collecting and seeking financial assistance from people because the doctor advice to undergo kidney transplants. On 2 April 2021 we went from dialysis, nurses were complaining that I allow him to drink a lot of water because at that stage he have a daily water intake and also needed blood. He did the blood transfusion and the dialysis but he had a breathing issue, the nurse place him on breathing machine the oxygen got exhausted and he was normal. We went home by 12am, on getting home we ask for water, I told him to wait because I can even hear noise of water around his thoracic cavity. He was having difficult I had to call one of his friend so that we can take him back to the hospital but he gave up the ghost and we bury him that the same day because that was his wish. Due to his name , I was confused and angry at myself and everyone that we lost him due to 5 million needed for the transplant. Months later I was able to get over his death a bit and went back to school,wrote the exam and graduated with first class even though the examination I didn't prepared much due to what happened. It was just God hand at work ( It only a fool that say there is no God). Now the problem is that I can't sleep and remember my brother death that I should have done more. His death is like 5 month from now but it still fresh in my memory recently. My brother play a vital role in my education from paying my fee and monthly allowance and advice. I was thinking of using drugs so that I can sleep at time but talk me out of it. Pls how can I re again myself and also am an introvert I don't have people to talk to and I hardly go out

When I was in 200 level, I was dating this beautiful Muslim girl, I was enjoying the frequent sex and full attention from her until one uncle carry gun come my house.
