Helo,Fellow Africans give this a thought, imagine that the whole world was just praying for this epidemic 2end, that no scientist was working day and night for a cure..

the last Epidemic(The black death (the bubonic plague) had to run its course for 3years killing close to 200million people before it faded out.
back then, people only prayed, there where no science labs to sturdy the plague, know its means of spread and come up with solutions.

just imagine that all we had was just prayers, faith and hope, as the Europeans in the year 1347-1350 had in the midst of the black death that killed half the population of the ancient world. Imagine there where no drugs and standard hospitals as we have today and you will come to terms with how *"#FaithWithNoWorkIsDead John2:17.

Today, we are able to combat any disease, we eradicate some and we know how to manage and contain others. it is not as a result of people praying day and night for Miracle, but as a result of some scientist wishing to sacrifice their lives to research and experiments on how to make sure that what killed our parents and grandparents, will not kill us. Malaria drugs,Typhoid drugs, Yellow Fever drugs, Chickenpox drugs, Ebola drugs, Cancer drugs, HIV drugs, etc are not products of prayer and fasting, but product of years of research and experiment...

The African Continent is always lacking in contribution to better life for mankind, because instead of investing in deepening Knowledge and understanding of most disease, we spend them on churches, Mosque, Owambes, etc.
In the west, if My Dad died of Brain cancer and i Have money, instead of throwing a multi million naira worth burial, I will bury him privately without much noise, and use the money, in creating a "Brain Cancer research grant, to help fund the research for a cure, and i will immortalize his name by naming the grant after him.
but in my country, I will build a church in his owner, when already we have millions of churches, most of which are always empty, with few people, in the North our brothers there will invest theirs in Mosque, and the moment we get sick, we dont go to sleep in church or mosque, but fly abroad, to benefit from the money grants that, the people there invested in research and experiments.

Africa to a large extent is a very big Shithole, the west through their dump here, our leaders take their dump here and go to the west to live good life, even most Daddy's of our churches here, stay here to make millions from our ignorance of how things work and fund their family to live and stay in the west where resources are better harnessed and managed.

I believe in God, and believe in Psalm 82:6, John 10:34-38 where we are reminded that we are gods by virtue of being children of the God.
and i believe that a child that keeps on calling the father to do everything for him, is a very dumb and irresponsible child.
The West have grown to realise, that they have power to do most of the things the can ask the father to do for them, by virtue of being born in the fathers image and likeness. Africans are still cry babies that have not come of age, to know of the power they wield.

Did i hear you just say Chloroquine. ? please shove that thought, somewhere. Some weeks ago, there was jubilation on thd Nigerian Social media space that Chloroquine, came through as the Saviour, but then, one of the biggest impediment to Nigerian Journalism is the fact that we are more drawn to sensationalism than deep research requiring wide Reading.

After getting the chloroquine news, I went online and a couple of research revealed that, there where 3drugs that where being tested for Covid19, among them being Chloroquine, anx contrary to what that was goin round on our media space here, news reports had it, that it will take months, before the effectiveness of any of the drugs can be fully communicated out, but trust our Nigerian folks, most of us had gone to clinics to hoard up enough chloroquine to last through Covid 19 apocalypse.

Do does this mean theres no hope whatsoever ? hell no, there's hope, infact lots of it, Chloroquine itself has not been totally ruled out, its still been tested, and there are even more drugs that are more effective than Chloroquine that are being tested.

Scientist around the world are working round the clock to tackle one of the biggest threat to mankind in the Mordern era, and according to most interviews, getting a vaccine ordinarily takes lots of years of testing first on rats, then round table discussions with regulatory bodies, then test on humans, then production and mass, mass production, and according to medical scientist, this takes 4 to 5 years, at which stage the Virus or mankind would have been in total oblivion. However, scientists are working round the clock and have discovered a strain of the virus that will be effective in training the body on how to better spot and fight the Corona Virus, and with the pandemic nature of the viral disease they are in talks with pharmaceutical companies and agencies on how to experiment the drugs and the timeline for a vaccine is in a years time.

A years time. that's way too long, you may say as I am, but then, when we watch Zombie movies, we are greeted with the very realities of what that might happen when the far reaching consequences of a drug is not being fully tested before being released to the Public.

But be that as it may, we may not have to Wait that long before mankind will mount its own attacks against the virus, According to research, the Virus is called Corona because it looks like a crown with pointed tips, these tips help the virus to attach itself to the host body cells, after which it destroys the cell and then Spreads to other cells, Scientist have discovered an antibody that can be made to locate and attach itself to the virus, thereby making it hard for the virus to attach to cell organs thereby halting its spread. As good as this news is, the scientist were only able to get this far, because they had been experimenting on SARS (a family member of the virus that has been around, that moves from chickeb to humans) and once tested on the Novel Corona Virus, it was effective. Be that as it may, the test is currently done on Lab rats, and will soon be tested on humans, and according to the Scientist, in a few months time, we will have a drug that will be on the front line in the fight against the Virus, that has brought the whole world to its Knees and has mos economies on total decline.

So there you have. For now the best form of fighting the Virus is through Prevention, the Holy pope has stated that the Easter Celebrations this here will be held without people, all sporting activities round the world are mostly on postponed. For now washing of hands and social distancing happens to be the most effective means of containing the Virus that currently has 110,000 confirmed cases and 4500 dead bodies to its name. The Plague aka the black death lasted from 1346-1351 and killed almost 200million people. Mankind was able to survive and overcome it. these too we will overcome.
