Back when Nigeria announced changing it's currency, alot of people who have come in contact with the CFA currency (the money used in CEMAC countries) always wished we had 5,000 and 10,000 as a single note, that they enjoyed having the liberty of being able to have 5million on their skin without drawing eyes. And yes, 1million cfa is almost the same size with your phone and can fit into your pocket. 100k naira note bundle equates 1million note cfa. I always try to educate them on how looting and money Laundering could have been the order of the day, as a single politician would move billions in the back of his car without anyone knowing, This video is evidence enough, 1billion cfa can be comfortably stuffed in one suit case... And moved around without drawing any attention, if not for the fast sweep, these suit cases would have been moved out of the country and shipped out. And the worst thing is that if this amount of money is shipped out of CEMAC countries and brought to say Nigeria with the plans of converting the said currency to Dollars which would be more portable, these 4 suitcases would single handedly plunge the CEMAC currency exchange rate from the current 1300-1370 naira for 1,000 cfa to each cfa selling bellow 900. Because those 4 suitcases will over saturate the market, the demand for naira will be so high, the demand for cfa non-existent...and this will destroy not just businesses in Gabon, but across. Cameroon. Central African Republic. Chad. Equatorial Guinea. Gabon. Republic of the Congo. It's why having an ECOWAS currency could be good and bad, because the same way the crisis in Nigeria is spelling low demand for the West African francs (xaf), any crises in a region using same currency always spells similar doom for all the member nation using same currency. Why Tinubu go carry bullion van when be say suitcases for dong carry him money go house, who for know say him get or no get money. ? With these few points of mind, I hope I have been able to convince and not confuse you, that no nation, need have very high denomination of it's currency. By the Way.. if you Ever have the Cfa and need naira, or you have naira and need Cfa, I am your most dependable plug. 4 Likes |

Politics / Tinubu And Buhari: The Frenemy War, The Cold War by Benesis: 3:21pm On Feb 24, 2023 |
So Tinubu felt he was sly and slippery, attempt were made to disqualify him at the onset, he dribbled through... Then came the candidature, Buhari was in bed with Ameachi, Lawan, and Osibanjo, and In Ogun state, BAT declared, "Emi Lokan" losely translated to mean, "I am the next" and on the Primaries date, the whole nation watched how deadpanned Buhari's face got, with each candidate seeding candidacy to Bola. And then came the much anticipated breakaway that was thought would hit the party, but the Bat, sly and cunny as a fox, was able to keep the house United and strong. When all attempt to frustrate the Bat proved aborting, the President went on Full Kamikaze mode, Kamikaze a term used to describe the war art that was used by the Japanese soldiers whom after running out of Armor would crash their plans into the allied forces ships or crafts, destroying themselves and the opponent... And Kamikaze the Presidency went with the Cashless policy plan. In a country with very crappy network, lots of peasant population with no bank accounts and no financial intelligence on the going of bank transfers, the President implemented a policy that had frustrated citizens burning down banks and government agencies, in protest of the hardship faced. No politician does that, most especially not when there is fuel crisis already in the land, the anger and outrage will always be against the president. At first it was Emefiele that was used as the fall guy, but then the supreme court waded in, and there was a bit of controversy over whom to listen to between the Supreme court (The grundnorm) and the CBN president... And people opted for the grundnorm. And Buhari sensing the power play, made a broadcast, and in a where people are mostly not well informed about the workings of laws, that it's only a legislative enactment that can overrule a supreme court's judgement or injunction. It worsened the crisis, and the hate now was squarely directed at the President... And guess what, with Everyone now hating and cursing him with their breath on each turn of hardship they encountered as a fallout of his policy, the President then chosed to now be jumping on every campaign that Tinubu went on, and after each broadcast telling Nigerians to suffer the hardship in Silence.. he admomished them to vote Tinubu, to continue from where he stopped... 🤣 😂 ... Like the script was so perfect... And BAT a political sensei should have known that the president was a dead weight , and should have been treated as the major opposition, was always having him around... Like how on earth did the famed,Nigerian political meastro not read the game, and restrategize. But then the game is still on, the BAT must be banking on working with the APC governor's who have been very loyal to him, or seemingly loyal to him, and with the G5, governor's, or is it G-4 now, (as Benue turned Obidient, ) are doing underground works for the BAT. Be that as it may, 2023 will be the most intriguing Election this Nation has ever had. We are all known to have a two man race.. but this time, with the youths becoming the structure and framework of an erstwhile unknown party being the brains and minds of a seemingly underdog politician, With one of the most strategic politician on the block, on another side, and with a politician whose been coming on, again and again and again.. 25/Feb/2023 will stand as the most intriguing date for Nigerians home and abroad. Politics / Obi Wining: Why It Could Best For Everybody by Benesis: 2:47pm On Feb 24, 2023 |
For Nigeria to actually work. Everyone needs to be on board, everyone needs to take it up, as being responsible at every turn. Over the years, most Nigerians have always had this "laissez faire" (e no concern me) me attitude to things and the country at most ... Everyone is always about himself and his stomach, no one thinks of the general good. But during the End SARS protest, Nigerians came together and felt responsible for fixing this country, and on the buildup to the election date, Nigerians also felt responsible to making and underdog to become a very strong contender. This is very important, should the energy and work prove successful, this very same energy will be used in making Nigerians to do the good policies brought in by the Obi government they've sworn to be Obidient to. The very willingness of the people to participate actively in making government work, is all the ingredients that has been missing in taking Nigeria to the height. The moment we move from "let them do their thing" to " How do we do this our thing"... That's when the best brains and best minds will have the discussions and deliberations that would bring about progress. I don't believe in hoping for the best candidate to win, I believe that the candidate we get, will be just what we deserve... I just hope we are deserving of the best. Benesis. |

providencia: I do exchange, and I know that the supreme court are mandated by law to always collect the old money at all time,by virtue of the CBN Act. And so far people are quein up already, n most states r still doing business with it, it's impossible for one person to just wake up and outlaw all that money 1 Like 1 Share |

Nigeria has a population of over 250 million people. I believe it's foolhardy that a politician can be known to have illicit funds, and instead of agencies like, Police, ICPC, EFCC, NDLEAD, DSS, etc all coming together to raid the person's hideout, or to trace where these stockpiles of money are kept. Everyone is made to suffer and people's business are either destroyed or put on hold, because, the said person is god, and you can only burn everywhere to incapacitate him. So why do they Pay the EFCC,or DSS,or ICPC,if they are so useless and can't trace big cash movements...and then prosecute offenders. 2 Likes |
Crime / Naira Scarcity: 3 Banks Burnt In Akwa Ibom State. by Benesis: 10:33pm On Feb 17, 2023 |
Violence broke out in Oron LGA of Akwa ibom state over the scarcity of the new notes as some residents took to protesting over the scarcity of the new notes, which heavily affected businesses. The rampaging youths first pounded on The United Bank of Africa branch there, before moving on to burn and vandalize both Access bank and First Bank. Protesters in the states then went on to tell all shops not collecting old notes to close down as most got vandalized. The heat subsided with news of the CBN policy that banks should start collecting the old notes back, but with the CBN rescinding on the statement. One can only pray that violence does not break out again over the weekend
