The match between Barcelona and Sevilla yesterday heralded the start of the  New European Season.

The League with the most money,media power and Prestige(English Premier League) have won the champions league twice in the last decade 20%,(Manchester united 2008 & Chelsea 2012)

English Premiership clubs have how ever  featured in 6 Finals (60%) with Arsenal,Liverpool, Manchester united and Chelsea featuring in the 2006,2007,2008,2009, 2011 & 2012 Finals with a success rate of 33%.

The Bundelisga represented by Bayern munchen and BVB Dortmund have featured in Three Finals (30%) 2010,2012,2013 and have won just one with a success rate of 33%.

While the Italian Seria A clubs have featured in 3 Finals(30%)  2007,2010,2015 winning 2,success rate of 67%,(Ac Milan 2007,Internazionale 2010).

Since the start European champions league there have been five single Nation Finals,and three of these Finals were in the last decade,Man Utd v Chelsea 2008(England), Bayern munchen v Dortmund 2013 (Germany) and Athletico Madrid v Real Madrid 2014 (Spain).

On a whole about Seven countries have won Titles in the last decade in all Cup competitions,they are:

The dominace of the Spanish clubs did rub off in her National Team when they won 2 European Nations  Cup and the World Cup from 2008-2012 during the famous tiki taka era of Barcelona with Xavi and Iniesta as the Engine room for both club and country..
