standupguy: So my own wait is over so is my quest to study in Canada. Got a refusal mail right now, abeg no condolence please, at least i have ascertained that CIC is an organization with no laid down procedure nor rules. My Only regret is that i should have listened to Mrnilbrown earlier. After i was refused for insufficient available finance for tuition and living expenses in my first app. The second app i was refused for insufficient available finance for living expenses and personal assets. (Both time my sponsors finance were very good but i didn't include my SOAs and Assets though i stated my employment status and earnings.
Well this time around it is purpose of visit and length of stay can you imagine that ?
Well this what i submitted for this final application Pls bro, this ur application was it paper route or online? Thanks. SOP Letter of Introduction from Employer My SOAs 250K, 50K, 10K My Fixed deposit 2.2M (This fixed deposit was made since Dec last year). My Stock evaluation and portfolio (250k). Tuition receipt Payment (27,205 CAD). Degree result Neco result My Resume
Sponsors Affidavit of sponsorship. Sponsors Letter of intro from Employer stating salary (8M). Sponsors SOAs 3.4M/1M. Sponsors Property documents. Birth certificate.
I changed institutions from Conestoga to Centennial because my program at conestoga didn't have a September intake. Both programs where the same and post graduate programs and i explained this in my SOP and even put there website to buttress my point.
What i would like to know is how CIC suddenly realized that they dont understand my purpose of visit and length of stay after two applications were refused for financial reasons but not for purpose of visit sounds quite phony. In conclusion CIC is rogue organization!!!!!
Well it has been a pleasure being part of this wonderful family. Thanks to everyone and God bless you all |

handyteddy: . Hello Bennet... Most may/june applicant I know on this thread had received a response ! The VO's might have little delays in verify one of your document... And they are definitely aware of your resumption date..! They will surely give you a positive response before you resume..! And on certain circumstances. Even if the resumption date is passed, CIC will ask you to contact the school to differ your admission to the next semester..! After which your TRV would be approved Just Be Prayerful...your TRV is sure IJN Good Luck Amen!! |

pchax: Sorry to hear about your delay. Working on the assumption that the VO who reviewed your application was not drunk, kindly note the following points.
This is basically a home-tie issue. Some people use spouses. Others use family business. I used my long term goal. Your 1st paragraph in you SOP can contain your long term goal in relation to Nigeria and how the studies you are embarking on can make you achieve that goal.
Did your offer letter EXPLICITLY state how long your program will last for? Mine did not. It just gave a range of 4 - 9 semesters. The onus lies on you to state EXPLICITLY how long you plan to use to finish the program. Your sponsors should also collaborate how long you want to stay by stating EXPLICITLY how long they plan supporting you for.
Really hard to play devils advocate on this one and assume the VO isn't drunk but you can look at the subject of all letters you submit. State it there that you are applying for a study visa in the subject of your letter of introduction. Your sponsors should also mention that. I assume you did that, so I will stop talking at this point.
Literally, that's what it means. But tonnes of people have got their TRV without using any landed property or even personal SOA.
Been to Iran, Syria or Turkey in the past 12 months? There is a part in one of the forms where you fill where you have been to.
NYSC is a job. Include it in your CV and state what you did during service. Don't say "no job yet". Are you studying for a professional exam? You can use that as what you currently do and add a spin to it to make it go in line with why you want to pursue your studies abroad. There is always a spin to add to the employment thingy.
Same here. I think the VO is pretty drunk or you might not have filled one of those computer generated forms. Best of luck if you want to refire. pls wat will I write on the employment column. |

Headlamp1: Im sorry about this. But 1st state all the supporting documents you submitted with your application so that the house can analyse it for loopholes. 1. How to satisfy the officer that i will leave Canada after my studies? 2. Length of proposed stay in Canada ? ( I wrote an SOP and attached is an offer letter) 3. Purpose of visit ( for sure i am going for study this one made me really angry so much.....) 4. my personal assets ? ( do they mean landed proprieties ?) 5.travel history? 6. my current employment situation ( finished NYSC last yr no job yet. Wat exactly do they mean?) Pls help me I'm confused... |

I applied for student permit and today I recieved refusal letter with my document back saying: *** You have not satisfied me that you would leave canada at the end of your stay , in reaching this decision, I considered several factors, Including :
* Length of proposed stay in Canada * Purpose of visit * your current employment situation * your personal assets and financial status * your travel History
I am really really sad because I tried alot I have prepared all the other necessary documents for this student visa application and I was sure that I will get my student permit , but today after receiving the refusal I am totaly dissapointed. Pls, can anyone help me what to do now to explain the following points. Thank you |

Mcjimmy: @benet if u are currently working u have no problem. U just have to let ur employer write a study leave letter approval for u with a the company's letter head paper.then u include it in ur app. Shikena Note ur employer must state u role in the company and how u are being payed. I intend to request for reference letter which will specify my role in the company but my payment is been made by cash. |
