The Last of The Mohicans

A shot from the past. Watched this movie in my childhood, and I gotta say, even after many years have passed, I haven't forgotten the half-white/half-Mohawk protagonist - Hawkeye, his Mohawk brother - Uncas, his Mohawk father - Chingachgook, his heartthrob - Cora, Alice, Major Munro, Duncan and the one name I will never forget as long as I live, Magua.

An historical drama with a engaging story that took occurred in an era we rarely see on film nowadays. The story is intriguing and has multiple themes ranging from love to colonialism. The 10-minute climax scene with no dialogue is amazing. The music and cinematography were on point.

I still haven't come to terms that Daniel Day-Lewis was the man behind the Hawkeye character! What a superb method actor. Too bad he's retired.

Anyhoo, 8.5/10 jare.
They don't make classic movies like this anymore. The film gets better no matter how many times one watches it.

I can see you're slowly but surely working your way through that list, lolz.
Mehn!! Only new movies like A Star is Born I downloaded today and upcoming ones that will make me derail from that list temporarily. I've even decided to pause new series I've had in mind like Narcos: Mexico till I'm done with part 1 of that list. If 90% of the movies in that first list turns out to be impressive, I'll pause other movies as well and finish the second list. cheesy grin

I've even added Se7en to the list. So far, the movies have been great. None has been a disappointment. With your penchant for loving BORING movies lately, I'm surprised this list has been outstanding. LMAO. grin grin

Triangle was a total mindfuck_. I wonder why you didn't recommend it earlier this year when I was looking out for mindfuck_ movies? undecided

This is totally so unbelievable. So this woman clearly knew she was at fault and she decided to expose and destroy the man's reputation.

Some women are more wicked than the devil.
Your reasoning is absurd. Did she rape him? Was he forced at gunpoint to start having affair with her? Stop blaming the lady alone!!

Bottom line, if by feminism you mean the desire for equality of opportunity, I'm all with it 100%. However, if your version of feminism includes principles of equality of outcome, then I will vehemently oppose it.
Aptly written. Men and women aren't equal. We rather COMPLEMENT each other. We can't be EQUAL but have DIFFERENT body structures/parts, DIFFERENT strength ability, DIFFERENT hormones etc. Men and women are not equal, we have different attributes to complement the opposite gender.

I believe in justice and equity, but not equality.

He meant forget about the poor storyline and plot holes and just enjoy the action, just like I did with Revenge - a movie with plot holes and unrealistic storyline but yet enjoyable.

Mr Beorn, it would have made sense if they had just passed that bolded message in a non biased way, but you failed to leave out the most important part which is the part that is hurting me.

in that same cartoon they made every single male figure look like an idiot, I'm sure you didn't notice, they didn't have to that to pass their message
Care to explain how they made EYERY SINGLE MALE FIGURE look like an idiot_ because I didn't notice it. If you're talking about the hypnotic mask, Elastigirl and some other female superheros were entrapped too and made to lose their senses.

Fadedvoiced:
The actions in incredibles 2 doesn't in anyway depict or represent feminism .

Most of you African men are just too dumb or you guys are scared of the feminist movement.

You're ranting like a rabid dog because the female character was made to be more super heroic than the man as if the man doing all the work would've made the movie to make more sense.

Feminism isn't the cause of your frustration
So sad how people don't understand feminism in 2018!
People complain just about everything, even unnecessary dumb issues. I don't even see any feminism agenda in the movie. The movie is practical because most fathers would struggle to take appropriate care of children when the mothers are not around. It's nature, nothing wrong with that. Mothers are naturally more gifted in the raising of children, they have a special bond which the fathers don't usually have with their children.

The woman being made more of the focus in the part 2 is just the storyline of the movie, after all it took the general of Frostzone, Mr Incredible and the kids to avert the imminent danger in the movie. We've had females as superheroes and lead characters, no big deal.

The Game 7.5/10

Even I was fooled till I realized the truth at the end. Well played, Conrad von Orton.

Koice, Abeg help me with the link of Seven, read it's the same director that directed The Game that directed it as well.

thanks bro I usually download from rarbg how do I download subtitles?
Go to Subscene dot com. Use the search option and type in the name of the film and submit. You'll see the movie amongst the options displayed, click on the right movie and scroll down to the English subtitles after it opens and download as much subtitles as you want.

I almost watched this movie in the cinema. I would have bitten my fingers if i paid if 3k for this. It was wack B grade sci-fi movies that should have been direct to DVD or made for tv.

The annoying part is the fact that they plan to make more movies as follow up.

Regarding your post on Predator, oh boy, you dey vex o. grin grin

The movie was very average with a boring storyline but I didn't envisage anyone will get pissed off so bad by it. LOL. Instead of doing justice to the legacy of Predator, they ended up trashing the movie.

Overboard 7/10.

Finally, a comedy film this year that made me laugh multiple times. Tag and Game Night tried, but apart from one or two scenes, they failed to me laugh hard. Tag was particularly poor in the humor aspect. But Overboard had me in stitches especially the Spanish spoken scenes. The Spanish guys had me ROTFL whenever their part came up.

Identity 8/10.

The last time a movie had similar theme and kept me in suspense, guessing who might be the killer was in Mindhunters, one of my cherished movie. It felt like watching Mindhunters all over again. Once the first murder happened, I didn't take a break till the movie ended. The twist at the end shocked me just the way the twist of The Others did. I never saw it coming. It had me speechless for few seconds. Psychological thrillers that are well written are hard to come by these days and are collector's item.

First film off Koice's list, the list looks promising already. I think I'm going to watch all the movies in that list.

More cameos are coming.

Reports say Stan Lee already filmed his cameos for Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 before he died.
This time around, I'll be on the lookout to spot him.

All the cameos Stan Lee made in his glorious and fulfilling career. I can't believe I didn't recognize him in about 50% of his cameo appearances.

Yes..

that's by the way..

recommend for me na.. pleaseeee
I'm not good at recommending series, but here are few ones I know that's more than a season

Ozark 2 seasons
Dear White People 2 seasons
Marvel's Daredevil 3 seasons
Billions 3 seasons
The Good Place 3 seasons
Bojack Horsemen 5 seasons.
American Vandal 2 seasons
Better Call Saul 4 seasons.

Because it lacked the usual bloodletting and fight scenes associated with vampire and witches series/movies?
TV/Movies › Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by Beorn: 12:58pm On Nov 11, 2018
A Discovery of Witches. Nice to watch a vampire, witch series without too much focus on gore and violence. I love the gradual build up of the characters and story. The only negative side to it for me was that it was too short - just 8 episodes and the killing off of Juliette.
