I have no problem with that.

My disagreement lies with you saying that hollywood is trying to shove gay love down your throat.
I feel that way because it's getting more rampant in most new TV shows. I just think they'd slow it a bit down.

It is more natural than you think. You are watching hollywood movies and tv shows. Gay people exist and they have rights in Hollywood/America- so what do you expect?

Nowadays, TV shows and movies strive for realism and so, why shouldnt they show gay people in all their fabulous glory? Arent gay people a real part of America?

There was a time that it was ridiculous to have black people in certain movies in America. There were also bigots then who felt that black people were "shoved down" their throats. They didnt want to see black people kissing- especially black men kissing white women. Think about that.
Like I said, I have no issue with gay people but the act itself. As a straight man used to heterosexual relationships all my life, the THOUGHT of a man kissing another man alone not even getting to see it, repulses me. It's weird and makes me cringe. I just can't stand it and therefore fast forward such scenes for my own sanity.

It will take more than spoilers to make me quit Niaraland. Even if my phone was hacked and nudes leaked, I will not quit Niaraland. If a video of me having 'fun' with a fresh, giant cucumber was posted on the front page, I will still not quit Nairaland! tongue cheesy
Easier said than done. It's because it'll never happen to you that's why you bragging like this. tongue

If any of the aforementioned happens to me, I'll have quit at first and maybe come back as a new moniker never to let anybody recognise me ever. I can't stand the shame. I can't even think about it. The thought of my segzy video on Xvideös will haunt me for long. lipsrsealed

I've not still watched a Quiet Place. Heard not a sound is made in that movie.
Sounds were made but for few minutes through out the entire movie. Making a sound will get you killed, hence why they had to keep mute.

It is actually a very intense and emotional movie. We read and watch happily ever after stories, or how people find strength to bounce back after a tragedy. This movie tells us the harsh truth about life, i.e not all people ever recover after suffering personal loss and the trauma that goes with it. Some people just sink lower and lower. It doesn't get better for them. That, my friend, is a tear jerker. I had good goose bumps while watching it sad
The way you described this movie makes it sound so interesting and tempting for me to reconsider and watch it one more time, but I'll pass. I won't fall for this trick. tongue

Forrest Gump IS one of the best Hollywood movies ever made. You can take that to the bank! cheesy
One of these days, I'll watch it. It's been on my mind for years but I never get around to watch it.

Now I know your age grin
Ishi, I didn't watch it when it came out. I watched many years later. I'm still a sweet sixteen for life. grin

The gay thing is everywhere on every tv show you watch there's a gay person. Can't they keep that ish out ofnoir faces. I almost stopped watching empire because I was pissed at the gay dude.

Grey's anatomy
Originals
Teen wolf
Empire
Billions

There's always a gay couple thank God for the flash ...
The Empire own disgusted me at the beginning, but I had to continue because I can't let go of a good series because of any gay acts. I still think the film board of America forced the producers to infuse gay scenes in new series. Every series you watch now, it's there.

Narcos
How to Get Away With Murder.

Please let me know the movies with gay scenes so I can avoid them completely
You won't notice it in movies because movies aims at telling a story within a limited time and hence won't focus on gay acts (unless the plot is on gay lifestyle); but TV shows is littered with it because they take their time to build up such characters and acts like that span across many seasons.

Dude, that shît is prevalent in TV shows more than normal movies. Gay acts are now being infused in many TV shows, like they came to an unanimous agreement to shove it down our throats. I don't dislike gay people, but the Kissing of two men creeps me the fůck out, so whenever such scenes comes on, I fast forward it. I can't stand it.

Thank you so much Sir.

I don't really have preferences once it comes to movies as long as its not a horror movie.
Meanwhile a lot of people aired their views about Interstellar, forest grump and green mile. And from the look of things it seems these movies would really be worth it but I keep asking myself "where was I when these movies were released?"
Lol
Lol. It happens. It's mathematically impossible to watch all movies. This thread can help you keep up with the current ones but not the oldies or even all the current movies. It was just last year that I watched The Green Mile. LOL.

Beorn, how could you call Manchester by the Sea boring? It's drama. It's not supposed to be explosive. I mean it's ur opinion but u've got to understand why Casey won that Oscar. Can you remember that scene where he almost shot himself in the police station? Can u imagine telling somebody u did something wrong and they are nonchalant about it?
Some drama movies are explosive, e.g: Straight Outta Compton is a drama movie but it's explosive. There are different types of drama films.

That said, Manchester By Sea is boring to ME and I didn't enjoy it one bit, but another person might enjoy it. Casey Affleck acted brilliantly, but I just don't love the movie and can never suggest it to anyone. It's not because it's not explosive. Mudbound is a drama film and it's not explosive but I love it. Same applies to Room which is drama movie but a movie I can rewatch any day, anytime. There's nothing wrong if Manchester By Sea is deemed great by many people, we have different choices, but the movie to me was a total waste of time.

La La Land was an interesting musical drama film but apart from Köice and I, the rest of the people here disliked it and called it boring. So, it's different strokes for different peeps. Someone just said A Silent Place boring, while I rated the movie 8/10. The movie never bored me.

These are movies I intend to see this weekend. Not recent anyway but I made the list base on a title I saw online."Movies that made men cry"

Forest Grump

The green mile

Manchester by the sea

Interstellar

Schindler's list

Goodwill hunting

Lion

Armageddon

Big fish

Moon

Cast away

Grave of fire flies

Flowers of war

Into the wild

The boy in striped pajamas

The last samurai

Life is beautiful

Toy story 3

I also have likes of pursuit of happyness,a fault in our stars,Shawshank redemption etc. I've seen these ones.

Please if you've seen the aforementioned kindly take your time to give me your rating biko.Save a brother from wasting his precious data
Manchester By Sea had high ratings and even won an Oscar for Casey Affleck, but it was one of the worst movies I watched last two years. I slept off many times while watching it. But then, you might enjoy it. What I wouldn't do is to suggest it to any one, though

I've watched Interstellar, Green Mile, Into The Wild, Lion and Schindler's List, and they're all fantastic movies with strong emotional content. You won't regret those films I listed. I haven't watched Forest Gump but I've read so many stories about it and it was one of the best Hollywood movies ever made. So, go for it, you'll enjoy it too.

For the rest of those movies, I haven't watched them. Just make sure you read their ratings before watching. It helps most times but not all the time. Movies with high ratings like Early Man and Manchester By Sea are useless movies.

Edited: I've watched Armageddom and Goodwill Hunting as well. Both are interesting. I remember Armageddom with sweet memories of my teenage years and the ending scene soundtrack. That soundtrack plays in my head whenever I remember the film.

I did further research for you and will recommend the following for you to watch from your list:

Cast Away
Life is Beautiful

How To Get Away With Murder has got to be the series with the greatest twists and revelations per episode since my short delving into the world of TV shows. The producers deliberately kept teasing the viewers with tidbits of unbelievable revelations each episode.

I'm still in season 1 and I'm already hooked. Season 2 downloading and about to be completed. I'm raring to go.
