Both Wonder Woman and Tomb Raider eh, I don't know whether its the director , or the actresses, or who to blame. The action scenes were just blech.

Jennifer Garner or Maria Hill(Nick Fury's second in command) would have done much better in those roles.

But hey, what do I know?
Both films are just starting their journeys, the directors are trying to give it a landing to build future stories on. It's okay not to expect more action scenes the first time but a storyline detailing what's to come.

Today I learnt people assume I live overseas. Whatever gave you that impression? grin
With the voluminous number of films/TV shows you've watched and currently watching, I had to think you lived abroad where apps like Netflix and stations like HBO, ABC, etc., are readily accessible with a click of a button and where megabytes are unlimited.

The murdered man probably got himself entangled with something he couldn't get out of. I don't know if the federales caught anyone. Hell, I don't even know how Netflix resolved the whole thing, but Mexico being Mexico, I imagined a great deal of money exchanged appropriate hands, and safety and protection were finally guaranteed for the film crew. Mexico as a country is corrupt as f**k.
I read somewhere that he's probably murdered for being a foreigner in such a vicious locality (the town he was killed in has the highest drug related murders in Mexico) taking pictures of different locations. So, maybe one of those bad men killed him thinking he's trying to "rat" someone out. May his soul RIP sha.

When Alicia Vikander was Casted for the lead role I knew there was no way it can hit the height that the A.Jolie's Tomb raider series hit...Alicia that has not finish interpreting "Akamu" roles wants to act action.
Alicia Vikander is not the reason why Tomb Raider was average. She really tried and her action scenes were good. The movie had an average script, and they borrowed a similiar storyline from its predecessor. They didn't make the storyline rich and spectacular.

I actually thought you live in United States because of the excess series you watch and how they're easily accessible to you. I'm surprised you live in Nigeria and watch so much movies and TV shows.

The location manager got killed, not the director. It's all sorted now like you rightly said.
Wow. I thought he meant the CIA Director inside the series, I didn't know he was referring to the director of series (which you corrected him to be the location manager). What happened? The drug cartel being talked about was not happy that their stories were being televised? Did they catch the culprit?

The emboldened was all I needed to read. You've posted spoilers by telling me the director was killed. What a heartbreaking spoiler. cry Well, don't reveal anymore twist or revelation, let's just wait to watch them ourselves.

Wow! Narcos was pretty well hyped when it debuted. Hard to believe you weren't aware of it till recently.

Jorge made a deal with the devil and expected to walk out of it whole? That's mighty naive. He should have known better. Still, I'm glad he f**k them (the Cali cartel) good in the end, and out of self preservation.
I too dey carry last when series are involved. I can't believe I waited for so long to see Narcos.

Regarding the deal Jorge made, it's a dumb move. I'll never make such a deal when I have something to lose, in Jorge's case, his family. I mean, he made that deal after seeing his boss and wife get killed in his front. Very dumb move, but I'm glad he made it out alive.

Will the series have a season 4?

Mehn!! Narcos is one interesting and fantastic series. Can't believe I only knew about it last month.

I can't remember the last time I prayed so fervently for a character not to die like I did for Jorge Salceido. If he had died, I'd have developed a deep seated hatred for Narcos.

Game of throne is a sweet series but I will say it is over rated now , d games in the series is over but they keep extending problems just to continue the film . but yea I like the series .

The walking dead , at a point I got tired of the whole thing they keep extending strategy as if they are planning world war three, for what na . over rated

If I remember another one I will drop it ,

If u want to enjoy series I will advice u to stop using this thread as a case study , a lot of I too sabi are in this thread and they will discourage u from series u might like ,just because they don't like it,
Like I said, it's all about choices or tastes. I've never found GOT to be overrated at any point, but Seeker, I've found it to be overrated at every point.

Lol the worst ., I still say lack of understanding.
For the benefit of this argument everyone just download episodes 1-3 of lengend of the seeker and if u still don't like it quote me again .but if u like it be honest to share to the world, 8 years ago is a long long time, understanding was minimal

Like I said u need to watch again ,

Do u know that if u watch prison break again and again u will notice new thing u skipped ,irrespective of how long u repeat seeing the series , so to other movies and series,

Like some of u said u don't understand the film ,that's the point "understand" try and understand,

Like I also said , as a teenager der are so many series u may not lie because u never mature in sense of judgment. U can call it useless foolishness but for everyone who don't like the film I will say u don't understand d film .

As for pretty little liars ,some people keep hating it while others keep loving it ,and d rating is increasing .
The truth is we can't like every film ,if I start dropping d list of series I don't like which most of people here feel they are experts like, u will be surprised . but its choice shhaa I can't force u and no. One will force me to hate it
This your quote was meant for Koice because I didn't talk about Pretty Little Liars neither did I mention the year I watch The Legend of the Seeker, but I'll just go ahead and reply you since you quoted me.

I think it all boils down to choices. One man's meat is another man's poison. If you find the series interesting, there's nothing wrong with it. That's just you and you're entitled to like any show. But I personally don't find the show interesting after years of watching many movies and series. It's not even because I was young then, but because the storylines and plots in that movie are not good enough for me when I juxtapose with other good series.

For your info, Prison Break was the first ever series that I watched, way before Seeker, and even after so many years, my love for it never diminished. But couple of years later, I came to realise that Seeker was crap to me. So it's not about watching it when I was young, but the fact that Seeker had mediocre storyline and poor script.

Lmao. Even then as a teen, I couldn't stand it. The confessor coming to the seeker's rescue every single time irritated the heck out of me. I've never seen a more useless protagonist in my life.
The series showed me that a lot of we Nigerians lacked good of sense of judgement because even some adults actually bought into the hype. But I can understand and forgive the foolishness because I think around the time the useless series was trending, most Nigerians were just starting to delve in the world of series and therefore weren't exposed to quality and meaningful series, hence the thought of the series being a great series back then.

What I will never understand, is how a Nigerian, in this recent times with all the quality series littered everywhere, and with the modern exposure, will still boldly defend Legend Of The Seeker as a quality series, even going to extent of asking us to REWATCH one of the worst series ever produced AGAIN? What tha fůck?!!

When u watched it when ur sense of understanding films wasn't strong or mature enough den .

We understand movies now faster because we have smart phones of which u can rewind easily to view skipped scene or to listen very well. And we use earpiece

Unlike when we use CDs buy fuel and hardly replay coz sometimes one don't watch films on TV alone

Pls go and watch it again . its one of d best series and one of its type and one of a kind . I always say this .if one keep reading rating from this thread .people will keep missing sweet series ,
Legend of The Seeker is a useless series. Truth be said, though, I was amongst those that got affected by the wild fever that, that series brought to Nigeria. The show was so popular that you'll see kids of about 5 years reliving the storyline episode by episode. This was many years ago when I didn't know a good series or movies even if it smacks me right in the face. But now I've gotten a better sense of judgement, I've realised that series was a total waste of time and a maze of confused storylines even for the script writers.

That nonsense Walt Disney produced and shamelessly called it a movie deserves 1/10. The only reason I gave it 3/10 is because prior to A Wrinkle in Time, Walt Disney had barely let me down.

Proud Mary was a wasted opportunity, Taraji P. Henson needs more quality leading roles in film.
I'm sincerely disappointed that someone like Taraji would accept such a script in the first place. I guess it's all about the Benjamins; if not explain to me how Taraji went from Hidden Figures to Proud Mary. The mind truly boggles.

A Wrinkle in Time is the worst Walt Disney movie ever produced and the second worst movie of 2018 after Early Man.

I can't say for others but I will never rate any movie high because of any actor. I love Taraji P Henson yet I called Proud Mary a rubbish movie.

I rated Red Sparrow 7/10 because it's interesting to me before going ahead to praise Jennifer Lawrence who's absolutely fantastic in her role.

I wasn't even aware of those websites you mentioned, but it's gratifying that the best minds at this specific genre shared similar sentiments.

Buffy is the 'originals' of the vampire genre, the pioneer, the one others try to imitate and surpass. The gold standard only few has come very close to touching over the years... the one that invented the infamous vampires/werewolves rivalry. Buffy is always gonna top that list until another show completely reinvent the genre. The Strain tried and failed. Penny Dreadful tried and also failed. True Blood tried to put a mature spin on Buffy and had some degree of success. The Vampire Dairies straightup tried to ride on Buffy's mantle but shot itself in the foot later, and never recovered. The spinoff, The Originals is just a bad Angel ripoff (Angel is Buffy' spinoff btw), and arguably the worst vampire show I have ever watched. The acting on that show is terrible. I tried watching it once and couldn't even make it more than 5 mins.

All these shows pale in comparison to Buffy for the same reasons Black Mirror will always be 2nd best to Twilight Zone: the first of it's genre and thus the gold standard.

True Blood set out to tell a story, and it did for the most part. It took a detour here and there but made it back to it's true path in the end. It's a solid enough supernatural themed (vampire, werewolves, etc) show.
All the sites used Buffy as the gold standard. All were positive reviews. I'll have to see it before True Blood once I'm ready.

I LOLed when you said Originals is the worst vampire series ever. LMAO. I haven't seen enough vampire series to know if it's the worst, but one thing is for certain though, the script writers/producers ran out of steam after season 2 hence why it's ending so soon this season 5. It is ending too quickly for lack of ideas, but it wasn't bad TBH.

The Originals is made for specifically young adults demographic (teens), so kiddo, I won't judge you or even question your childish taste in tv series, but please, I take god beg you, stay away from my mentions. It's highly embarrassing when secondary students quote me just to talk rubbish.
I haven't watched any vampire genre in series apart from TVD and Originals. From from extensive googling of sites that rated various vampire series, one was consistent all through - Buffy The Vampire Slayer topped all their lists. True Blood and TVD was usually in top 5 but on some, TVD was around 6th or 7th while True Blood was consistently in top 5. Also in some top 5 where both TVD and True Blood were in it, TVD topped True Blood in some, while True Blood returned the favour in some. I guess it boils down to personal choices, but from observation, I'll say True Blood edges TVD but wins Originals hands down.

One of these days, I'll check out True Blood, although the general consensus was that the show tanked when Alan Ball left the show. Which is not surprising because TVD too tanked towards the last 3 seasons especially when Damon started dating Elena and the producers knew and ended it.

That's one thing about most series, at a point they get boring.
