I am Yoruba, but I feel sad and pained that a man (ex no3 of this country) was jailed with his wife like a common criminal for a misdemeanor. If he was jailed for committing an actual crime, then it would be well deserving.
Here, we cannot jail these guys for actual committal of crime. The last time a Canadian lady was arresting for drug trafficking offense, she was sentenced to jail with an option of fine . What is this?

Why didn't the UK release our own Ekweremadu on humanitarian grounds? He is still languishing with his wife in their jail for committing no crime. This is another eternal disgrace to Nigeria but we are all pretending it's none of our business. But it becomes your business alone when you fall into these peoples' hands and they maltreat for being a third world citizen or having African descent.

I am actually very surprised that this woman was removed. She has been all over the place defending her office and that of the President, so why remove her? I like her unlike the other guys that we don't even know or see them.

Majority of people here have idea about my story and if you don't, you can go through my previous post to get a glimpse.

This month made it one year and seven months have been Separated and living apart from my ex wife due to infidelity and cheating from my ex wife part. Since then, my two daughter aged 8 and 7 had been living with her and I do take responsibility of them until this January 2024 when my wife took my kids to her father and step mom place because there was this course she was order to go for 6months officially outside lagos state. I was so angry because she never seek my permission or approval before taking them there and because of this, I stop sending money or paying their fees till now. I saw it as a act of disrespect if I the father can't be informed of where my kids are been taking to for a long period of time. She already took them there before informing me.

She was supposed to finish her course outside the state by June and since then, she never called me to inform me she is back until yesterday when I put a call to her and she told me she got back since June. I asked about the kids and to my shock, she told me the kids are still there with her father and step mom. How can you leave the kids at your parents place while the father and mother are available, I got so upset and the discussion resulted to insult and curse on phone. She told me she had a serious issue at work and she couldn't combine the kids stress to what she is going through presently. To be honest, I was even thinking to reconcile with her cos of the kids despite she cheated but the way she behave and talks on phone shows she is not remorse or even care if the family is back together or ready for any reconciliation despite the fact she was at fault. Now my kids are my focus but I don't know how to go about this.

The information I got from her dad was that he will not release the kids to either me or her on less the money he had spent on them is refunded back to him. This is already looking like a kidnap and abduction case which I told her that if she doesn't pick those kids before weekend, I will file a case of child kidnap and abduction against her and her father. Pls I need advice on how to go about this and those that have first class experience with such should assist with advice. Thank you all

Don't file a law suit yet, still try to investigate further/gather more evidence to really know what their intentions are. When you see a badly behaved woman/man, most times it can be traced back to the parents/upbringing. So, you have to be patient and calculated when dealing with such people. Above all, I would have preferred you reconciled with her for the sake of the children as you sited, but her behaviour doesn't show remorse and for her not to have called you since June till now... May be she has moved on. But take your time and related with both her and her father more before drawing your conclusions. Finally, follow your heart, whatever decision you finally make, is the right decision.
Take custody of your kids even though it might not be easy for any single parent handling kids alone, that's why we are supposed to be couples (two people covering up for each other).

It's doesn't mean any of them is right. Jumping to file law suits in Nigeria is a big joke and a waste of time. Nigerians hardly sue, the few once that manage to is always out of the intention to clamp down on someone.
Why did NDLEA wait till their issue was mentioned/a parallel drug agency was being proposed before making these allegations, indeed, their allegations must be "spurious" and NDLEA has not really been doing its job just like all the other failed, bribe-seeking agencies.

When something like this happens to a Nigerian in Nigeria and to make matters worse, it involves foreign nationals and no significant effort by the Nigerian authorities or agencies, it goes to show these foreigners that Nigerian lives do not matter and not worth much. It can be taken at any time and nothing will happen.
It also shows other people outside the country that Nigerians have no defenders and their Governments place little or no value on their citizens. It is the same reason why South Africans attack and kill Nigerians at will in their country, same reason Libyan authorities messed the country's National team, and several other atrocious attacks on Nigerians home and abroad, because they all no there will be no consequences for the criminal acts as long as it's against Nigerians. They hardly try this shit with other nationals but Nigerians are always easy preys even on Nigerian soil.

I was travelling from Lagos to asaba in February. I had just over taken a GIG in ore after resting with my younger bro at that same ore. Just 2 mins from where we had a break from driving, I was doing 120/140km when all of a sudden, this bike guy violently swerved his bike from the other express lane to ours knowing that spot/road was very bumpy/uneven (wonder what causes those wrinkles on the road?). He just bounced off the road with is bike and hit his head on the ground right infront of me and the GIG. We both slammed our breaks and watched the drama unfold. He was on the hot ground, stretching his hand while on the ground like as if he was about to let go of something.. this happened within 1 minute. Omo we drove pass oh! Naija's police wouldn't have accepted the fact that his act was intentional..

Na him soul dey leave am so as he dey stretch hand like that. Any injury to the head is always major and mostly fatal. If you check am well, na Aboki e go be. There is this arrogance they have even in the face of death, them no care.
Actually, I have never driven 140km/hr before in my over 15yrs of driving and I don't think I will ever drive that till kpai commot for this earth.
