Chriswazo: The Engineering courses for Bachelor's in Environment are German taught, my option is using the BSc ERM now to switch to Environmental Engineering in my MSc.
What do you think bro? Look for English Engineering related Bsc ..Cottbus is not even a cool place in Germany.. Most Cottbus guys have to migrate to Berlin for survival. With Ielts, you have better options. |

Please, could you (and other guru in the house) list the most in-demand (marketable) courses especially in engineering and technology over there? Data analytics, SAP, JavaScript...... learn it deep and practices.....not those basics....if u have work experience get a letter from your office as proof...work experience open doors here. |

SooCute: B2 should take you less than a year. But if you mingle and force yourself to speak (your cut and join German) you would eventually start making sense sooner. Also depends on how much time you wanna put-in. I would advice you to start learning German from Nigeria. Throw yourself to it. Just like @hounorableseyi hinted, If yo come here bro/Sis you go ration your time ooo. Alot of wahala if you are doing Bachelors in Engineering( or STEM).
Time no go too dey plus course work, hustle go tie you down. If you want soft small....avoid education in BAVARIA...i wouldn't say more than this.. Just laughing here about bavaria...where at the TUM fanatics? Only one state with dramatic auslanderbehorde(foriegners office) and weirdo Uni... My advice, learn basics German upto A2...look for mini job and face your studies 100%....look for internship or work student....dont com here for courses that are not marketable....during summer...work full time to save...prepare for life after studies....linkedin...xing etc. Employers dont employ based on university ranking here....this is not UK or USA...dont come here for MBA as well...if one school is difficult transfer your credit to another uni. God bless our hussle.. |

Dutch2018: @Berliner Which insurance do you suggest that is generally accepted. I want the one that can serve for embassy and enrollment. At the long run you are spending more...use naija insurance for embassy and German insurance when you are fully here. Remember German insurance billing start from the date you use them at embassy...and this is in euro. Do the maths.. |

Fustinachichi: Advice for those applying for new session...just apply for the Fintiba plus instead of basic....It covers everything travel insurance, and health insurance...and submit with ur fintiba account and remember to fill it on your form....so instead they will ask for ur passport only, no unnecessary delay...straight up! It's more expensive....fintiba is a start up firm so I won't recommend them for insurance. |

dipole2018: Hello guys, great work on this thread. I have been reading the thread for quite a few days now and I have really learnt alot. I just got a date for my interview to study in Gottingen. My date is still in August. I need assistance in getting some clarity in the following issues below. Help will really be appreciated.
Regarding the checklist of documents,
1. I'm I to go with the real transcript from my school ? I don't have the original printed transcript, I lost it, but I still have a scanned copy on my hard disk. Can I go ahead and print it in colored then stamp it in a court ? I'm asking this cause I'm aware that the paper's texture of the original transcript from my school is different from normal A4 paper. You can use the transcript like that.
2. Can I also use a printed soft copy of my admission letter ? My school sent the soft copy while I'm still expecting the hard copy. I used it in booking my appointment for my visa but can I also tender it as the original should I not have gotten it till my interview date ? You can use email copy of the admission letter for the interview...
3. My Motivation letter and C.V can/should be exactly the same as the ones I used during my admission application right ? The only difference is that my Motivation letter should be handwritten correct ?
No...its a different ball game....when you apply for student visa its different from admission.
I just need to be really sure of all these before my interview as it would go along way in boosting my confidence on that day. |

smoothvee: My friend Berliner.. I’d tell you this .. I’ve always low key longed for Berlin after I saw your name, luckily upon untop restricted admission I got an admission..I’ve interviewed and about to enroll in Fu Berlin while waiting for AM. Buh you made Berlin look interesting to me.. though am faced with a choice between Berlin and Bremen.
Now to the subject.. are there churchy babes in our city? You better go bremen.. Berlin/ cottbus is the headquarters of Naija people in Germany with hard-core gossip around . Bremen is the smallest state in Germany....plenty student jobs, Good foriegners office....even your university will be the one to help you get your resident permit. I will pick bremen over berlin.....berlin is like lagos Island while bremen is like Portharcourt in Naija context. |

After the AM drops (by God's grace), I will like to receive my documents back by myself and that's only possible if I put my workplace address on the prepaid envelope. Yes its possible 100%. You can also collect your visa in person at the embassy. |

DrVektor: Good day, guys. Anybody schooling in Tübingen and environs (Baden-Württemberg) or heading towards that ends should hit me up. I have a friend that's going to University of Tübingen. Wants to know how the place is. I know tubingen very well....nooks and cranny. Student city...top ranked university...one of german president lecture there. Job chance is 70% if you have A1/A2 of german language. Bad side of the city is the semester ticket and failure rate is high.....very few Nigerians are in that Uni....not upto 8. Good auslanderbehorde ( foriegners office). There is a church there That is a good place if you are interested in a german churchy babe....if you know.... But remember the 1500 euro school fees in that school and most courses are in German language except few. |
