Firstly.. Is there any hope of getting a good scholarship or maybe do u know anyone that has gotten it and is in the US rii now.. I mean... Is it possible to really secure it

Secondly.. Any hope of getting admitted to any university in western America.. To study Humanities courses like say Law, journalism and the likes

On U.S News, they are currently No. 166, their acceptance rate for fall 2018 was 84% however over the years they've averaged around 78% acceptance. But again that's not the issue here.

No worries I will not argue, Colorado state uni has an acceptance rate below 80%, it's in the 70's not sure where you got 83% from neither are they in the top 100, Top 200 probably but not top 100 not sure where you get your statistics from, and about VIU not sure why the embassy frowns at the school but they do till now and i'm certain this isn't news to you especially for international students.

However, I'm only giving my two cents.

I did not say it's not possible that's why I said 10%, other factors definitely could help that individual case, however if a school accepts every tom, dick and harry, chances are that their requirements may not be strignent enough. and I said if one can "as much as possibe" look for schools with lesser acceptance ratings. I've seen a few get visas for a school with 94% acceptance but it's extremely rare. However, it's each individual's choice on the school they decide to apply to and decide to go to upon admission.

Any school in the U.S with 80% and above acceptance rating : Visa Approval: 10% (The higher the acceptance rating of a school, the harder your chances of getting a visa, try to look for schools with 75% and below as much as possible). To find acceptance ratings, you can use google, there are many sites that will show you, e. g U.S news, even google search might give it to you.)

Never a good idea to buy ticket yet while on AP... some Ap are turned around quickly some takes months leading to deffering the admission. It's hard to predict and nothings speeds it up, you just have to wait and stay positive

IS IT OKAY TO MENTION THE FACT THAT MY SCHOOL GAVE ME CHEMISTRY INSTEAD OF BIOLOGY THAT I APPLIED FOR DURING MY INTERVIEW? I have Chemistry on my admission letter instead of Biology

I want to know if I won't be complicating myself when I'm infront of the VO since I can change it back to biology when I resume school.

Me: I am going to the Uni of Alabama to obtain a PhD in Physics
VO: What will the degree do for you
Me: I want to be a lecturer( before the interview, I had a beautifully structured essay for this after a series of mock with my bro. Unfortunately I forgot everything.
VO: what other schools did you apply to?
Me: Uni of North Dakota, Alabama A and M Uni, Uni of Louisiana, Lafayette
VO: you didn’t get an assistanship?
Me: No. According to my PI and the department head, my research will be funded by Alabama Space grant Consortium, starting from my second semester.The paperwork will be finalized upon my resumption.
VO: who will then sponsor you before you get that funding?
Me: My dad
VO: What does he do?
Me: He is a retired civil servant.

He asked for his bank statement. He checked through and returned it.
He was typing very fast all through the conversation.
Then, he dropped my passport in the tray, I was so happy. Then he looked at my I-20 again and said: the signature on your I-20 is not legible.
I won’t be able to complete the process. So he started typing again, maybe he was reversing the approval. Then he returned my passport and my I-20.
VO: you will tell your school’s DSO to send a signed I-20.
So he gave me a white paper with ‘USA consular......’ as heading and wrote signed I-20 required.
He told me to drop the signed I-20, my passport, and the white paper at a dropbox facility and they would get to him.

I got the new I-20, did as I was told and the visa was ready after four days.
