Crime / Two Women, Boy Killed In Abuja Riot by BetterChurch: 9:30am On May 16
No fewer than three persons, including two women and a young boy, were killed in a riot that erupted in Byazhin, Kubwa, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory on Wednesday.

DAILY POST gathered that the riot which started on Tuesday night followed a clash between some local scavengers popularly known as Baban bola, and residents of the community.

Trouble began when one of the bola boys attempted to steal a woman’s pot of soup on Tuesday evening but was overpowered and beaten up after the woman alerted neighbours and passers-by.

An eyewitness, who identified herself simply as Monica, told DAILY POST that when the scavenger was eventually released after a terrible beating, he went to mobilise hoodlums who returned to the scene wielding weapons including machetes.

According to the eyewitness, the hoodlums attacked residents of the area randomly leading to the killing of the woman.

Two other persons believed to be passers-by were also killed in the riot.

“Nobody slept in his or her house that night. The Baban bola people came with all kinds of weapons. They destroyed buildings just because one of them was beaten after attempting to steal a pot of soup.

“They killed two people that night and when they attacked the area on Wednesday morning, they killed another person making it three people that died.

“Many people were injured and have been rushed to the general hospital here in Kubwa,” she said.

DAILY POST learnt that schools in the area were closed down on Wednesday morning as parents scampered to pick up their schoolchildren from their classrooms for safety.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the attack to DAILY POST.

She said several suspects have been arrested in connection to the violent attack, stressing that they “are currently being interrogated to ascertain their complicity”.

The PPRO noted that normalcy has since been restored in the area.

Madness is one of the odyssey of Soul. It teaches us to cooperate with the laws of God. We either obey the divine law or suffer the consequences. Reincarnation eventually brings us back to face our actions (karma).

Religion / Kidnapped Delta Catholic Priests Regain Freedom by BetterChurch: 2:21am On May 05, 2023
The two Catholic priests who were kidnapped last Saturday by unknown gunmen at Agbarha-Otor town, in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, have regained their freedom from their abductors.

The priests, Rev. Fr. Raphael Ogigbah, who is the parish priest of St. Francis Catholic Parish Agbarha-Otor, Catholic Diocese of Warri; and Rev. Fr. Kunav Chochos, a missionary priest of the Schoenstartt Fathers, reportedly regained their freedom from the abductors on Thursday and have since reunited with the leadership of the Catholic Diocese of Warri.

A priest in the diocese, who confirmed the development to journalists, did not disclose whether ransom was paid to secure their release.

It was however gathered that the abductors had earlier demanded N20m for their release.

When contacted, the spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, told PUNCH Metro that the command took security measures to ensure that the abducted priests regain their freedom.

Ogigbah and Chochos were kidnapped in front of Michael and Cecilia Ibru University, Agbarha-Otor near Ughelli last Saturday.

Chochos, who works and lives in Ibadan, Oyo State, was in Delta to visit his friend, Ogigbah, at Agbarha-Otor.

Karma and Reincarnation are two immutable laws of God. And it's written "The mill of God grinds slowly but surely."

It doesn't. Evil people keep progressing and succeeding in what they are doing while the righteous ones suffers.

"Man must know that when he seeks God, he cannot find It. He must know that he cannot touch God. Nor can his mind exceed It. But when he no longer seeks God, then It becomes a recognized part of himself; It is always with him. He will come to know that God is a reality that has always been with him and has never left him; he cannot see It because It is hidden by the external senses that are used to see the world. These senses are not available in the inner world, for they have no use beyond matter. The inner senses are able to see all the outer world and the inner world. It is only by the use of the inner senses that the chela can find God, never by seeking It with the outer equipment."

Religion / Re: Meet The ECK Masters! by BetterChurch: 4:47pm On Apr 07, 2023
The ECK Masters are real. This is how simple the love of God is. They are here to help humanity.

Maynman:
Rebezar Tarzs, the 500 year old Tibetan Eck Master and “torchbearer” of the Eckankar religion, is a fictional character created by Eckankar’s founder Paul Twitchell.

Aside from the unlikelihood that anyone can live to be 500 years old, the evidence that Twitchell simply made up Rebezar Tarzs is quite strong. Hundreds of paragraphs attributed to Mr. Tarzs in The Far Country (an early Eckankar book that Twitchell claimed was “dictated” to him by Rebezar) were found to have been plagiarized from works by other authors. The main source of the Far Country’s content was actually the works of a Dr. Julian Johnson (1873–1939), an American Baptist minister who converted to the Sant Mat religion. Twitchell's The Far Country (1966) is almost entirely copied from Julian P. Johnson's two books With a Great Master in India (1933) and The Path of the Masters (1939).

Another Twitchell book purportedly based on the direct teachings of Rebezar Tarzs was Dialogues with the Master. Here the 500 year old Tibetan’s teachings seem to have a lot in common with the peculiar philosophy of Scientology’s L. Ron Hubbard, among other vogue occult writers of the 50s era.

Also, soon after starting Eckankar is 1965, we know that Twitchell redacted the names of actual gurus in his published writings with names of Rebezar Tarzs and other fictional characters of an Eck Master lineage. Swami Premananda of Washington DC was one such actual guru (Twitchell lived at his compound for 5 years during the 1950s, before being kicked out for bad behavior). In an effort to distance himself from his actual past, Twitchell replaced Premananda with the colorful fictional name Rebezar Tarzs.
