Good news 👏 This family person got his PR approved today without any ADR. He corrected the errors post ITA and included his NYSC work experience to make-up the points Thank you all for the contribution and good work here. I am so happy for him. From one year study in Canada to One year PGWP, now a PR It can only be God. Betterlife2018: Please guru on this platform. I need input on this situation.
A close family person is here in Canada. He has graduated and currently on pgwp which is expiring in less than two weeks
He got ITA ( health draw ) with a crs score of 472. He has 1 year canadain experience in health and claimed 2 years foreign experience.
After he got ITA, he discovered that he made a mistake in his Canadian credentials point when he was creating profile.
He recalculated his score after he made the correction of the mistake and then the score reduced below 470 cut off. So technically he may need to decline the ITA
The two years foreign experience is without his NYSC experience. He is thinking he can update his profile after ITA to include NYSC and then claim 3 years foreign experience.
With 1 year Canadian experience and 3 years foreign experience and correct Canada credential his score will be 481.
please help a poor boy. I am not sure of correct answer to him
Can he update his work experience after ITA. His PPA is willing to issue him necessary document to support the nysc experience.
Please he needs help. 🙏 |

affoncad: The work experience he stated when applying for his study visa is the main issue, because IRCC often flags cases where international students suddenly claim new experience on their PR application that wasn’t declared in earlier applications Thank you for your input. Yes he mentioned 3 years experience during his study permit application. I can confirm that his NYSC experience was included in his study permit application. Can he make the adjustment and proceed with the ITA. 🙏 🙏 |

whormz: Hi everyone, I need some guidance here. EE profile created in Feb 2025 with CRS score of 415. EOI in Alberta Accelerated Tech Stream profile created in July 2025, score 58 with the EE profile number. EE profile became ineligible in September on my birthday (42 years). Received ITA from Alberta 2 weeks after ineligibility of EE profile. I have a valid teer 0 tech job in Calgary, Alberta which I started in January, 2025. I cant get back into the EE pool until January 2026 when I would have qualified for CEC. I have 15 days to accept the ITA from Alberta. Any guidance on way forward? Thanks in advance. Why can't you create another EE profile. What made it ineligible, you created it in Feb 2025 and in September it is expired ..... this is not clear to me. EE profile should be valid for one year... Maybe there is something I don't seem to understand. |

Jeboy: Hi guys,
Just needed our suggestions based on case scenario.
If as a spouse i want to apply for SOWP based on my wife completing a program and getting PGWP, what's the best option:
1) Apply for SOWP together with my graduated spouse when she is also applying for PGWP so approvals can tickle in either same time or maybe PGWP comes 1st and the SOWP follows
2)Allow my student spouse to apply 1st and get the PGWP and then I the spouse can apply for SOWP outside Canada which of course might take more time.
3)Allow my student spouse to apply first and get approved on PGWP and thereafter I can go and apply for SOWP through flagpole if I have a valid visitor permit in Canada and my spouse accompany me with all other relevant doc like PGWP, full time offer, pay stubs, bank statement etc
Please share your thoughts. I have friends who applied together all at same time The application was processed together. So I think option 1 is the best Are u inside canada already |

I was not able to submit my SOWP application I was working on before the ban on March 19th. How do I change my submission to VV. I have gathered and put all document pertaining to SOWP.
Is there any important detail for VV that I need to put into consideration? I am sure I will need to discard the work permit form and fill the Temporary resident form (VV). Please what else do i need to know?
Can I continue with the old profile? Change the answers to your questions on the profile and then you will be able to still use same profile |

With the recent refusal of SOWP due to proof of fund. I will like to give few hints.
1. Let the student in Canada submit bank statement. This is easy because the person inside canada can easily pull funds together. The only document to show here is a letter from the Canadian bank showing available balance at the date of printing. So utilize this well to make up for the funds required. You don't need to show transaction history for Canada bank statement.
2. If the student is working - please add payslips and employment letter. No matter how small it will help.
3. Ensure you submit all tuition receipts.
4. For non canadain account where history is required please remember to explain every bit of deposit and sources of fund.
5. You can use gift deed to support funds coming in as lump sum.
6. Provide detail explanation on how you make money if your are a business owner
7. Add pictures, contract document, invoices, social media pages and links, reference letter from clients.
8. Ensure you add bank reference letters stating you are sole signatory
9. Ensure you provide a table of Content to make the VO work easy
May the Lord help everyone Amen |

Wsx2: Stop doing permutations, i currently live here and telling you the situation of things. The Draws they are doing nowadays are selective, not everyone is doing healthcare or tech, not everyone can write or speak French, not everyone can afford 30k cad to buy LMIa to boost express entry score . My messages goes to those people. It’s really hard here now. Do not go by what people who don’t live here says or using google to do research, listen to those who live here. 70 percent of these students falls in these categories, now what is their hope of staying back after spending over 60k cad to study here. The Canadian government stopped canada experience class draw since 2021 which was what the students relied on to get PR. There are still better options available to getting PR. MOVE TO PROVINCES WHERE YOU CAN EASILY GO THROUGH PNP. There are always options. No one should give up on his or her dreams. It is DOABLE |

jscoder: She has enough money, i dont know why the second reason for rejection. I think probably the amount she showed in her payslip does not justify her bank balance of 13m.
For the last reason, is her hubby a student? What type of visa did she apply for? assuming her hubby is a permanent resident, why would she want to travel on a temporary visa.?
The best thing is to order for her GCMS notes. I ordered via https://gcms-notes.ca/ and it took 28 days Thanks for your input. She is ordering her case note immediately. Her spouse is a student in Canada. She and husband owns the clinic. She does not receive salary but hubby regularly sends money to her being a family business. She applied for Sowp Honestly- she is so confused. |

tinuowo: Good day everyone! Please I need an urgent reply. Can I apply for SOWP for my spouse and SV/VV for my kids when my study permit is expiring in April 2024? Cos I heard it has to be 6months on it and I was already granted extension before but will be done with my studies in that same April 2024.
Thank you! Please apply for them ASAP. NO rule like 6 months. A friend just got approval for his wife and daughter with study permit expiring in March 2024. |

Sejworld: Good morning, please I just got an email now from IRCC that my husband should send my employment letter for his SOWP Extension application. I currently don't have a job (I lost the one I had less than a month ago (contract) bookkeeping job). My husband currently has a permanent job that he will be resuming on Monday (although he will still be on probation for the next 3 months). What documents do you suggest I send for the IRCC request? I have 1 week to respond.
Background story: I finished my studies in Apr, with my study permit expiring on Jul 30, 2023. I applied for a PGWP alongside with SOWP extension for my spouse on the same application and profile. For your husband to qualify for open work permit on your own pgwp- you must be employed in teer Noc 1,2,3. Without that - your husband cannot apply for work permit on your pgwp. Please target to get a skilled job as soon as you can. |

Please beg your agent not to mess yhings up for you. He needs to mail the school to address the issue of your admission letter that it originated from the school and that it is not fake. Though the admission has been cancelled there is no problem, snd that is a different issue. let the school clearly write a that your initial offer letter is genuine and that you were once admitted but because they did not receieve your tuition deposit they cancelled the admission. This is very important to prevent the intending ban if you fail to address it well. Please swing to action yourself. Send mail to the school. Call them if you can Let them confirm that you were actually admitted in the first place. I think niagara is now having this issue, someone i know got banned because of same issue. She is using a legal service to address it. CanJ: The agent helped to get the admission. The agent said that the admission has been cancelled now because I don't pay the school fees before the time schedule. But is that how they do? |

Jhigan: Hello guys, please I need an urgent advise. My wife studied Medicine and Surgery in Morocco for 8 years, with a Federal government scholarship. She just graduated last year November. She's very fluent in both English and French, as she did her medical degree in pure French language, and she's from Nigeria, so, she speaks English very well, and had her education up to secondary level here. She even has a resident card of Morocco right now. But she doesn't want to settle and practice in Morocco or Nigeria and likewise myself. Which course do you think we can apply fro in Canada? And which schools in which state that will appreciate bilingual mostly? Mind you, the goal is PR for her. Advise will be much appreciated. Thanks. Let her write TEF, IELTS and evaluate her credentials. She stands a good chance with direct ITA and even PNP with many provinces. She has a good profile.
